Very beautiful food I would say the best Italian in Florida. Everything had very balanced flavour. We started with a aperol spritz and wine and they brought the house bread which was delicious just like their pizza. Our appetiser was a carpaccio which was very refreshing and delicious. The server Madison recommended the lobster ravioli which was a very pleasant dish slightly sweet and rich a beautiful mix. The spaghetti meatballs also exquisite even for a simple dish, the meatballs not really extremely tender but they were still delicious. Overall the service and food were 10/10 especially our server Madison who's been there since the beginning and gave us A+ hospitality.

Had a very lovely evening meal at Mangia for the first time near closing on a Sunday. Despite coming in after the dinner rush, the staff was kind and attentive and the atmosphere was cozy. The complimentary bread was fresh and I appreciated the quality of the olive oil served on the side. The wine menu was excellent, including the selections for house pours, all imports. We started with the calamari, it was lightly breaded, crispy and served with a heaping side of house made marinara. After the starter, I chose the lasagna (highly recommended by my server and I did not regret that decision). It was served as a heaping slice, garnished with fresh basil and the quality of the cheese used was excellent! Had a very lovely time, I look forward to returning later in the year to enjoy their outdoor patio.

Upon entering, it's seems very quaint and little. However in the sitting area that we were walked to, it was cute and clean looking and very cute. We sat down and ordered our food, the server knew exactly what their dishes are and helped us make our choices. Everything was delicious!

We had never been in this area before and we're craving pizza. We happen to walk into Mangia on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 in the afternoon. There is ample Street parking in this area, which is fantastic so very easy to get a parking place. Not to mention there are some great lots around as well. The dining restaurant portion didn't open until 2 PM but we were able to order a takeout pizza from there to go area. We opted for the extravaganza that had pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, and olives on it. The pizza is supposed to be in New York style pizza and while the flavor was really good we definitely feel for the amount of toppings that are on the pizza. The crust could be a little bit thicker. Overall, we really enjoyed the pizza. We did get a 16 inch which was much larger than we actually needed, but it worked out in the end as we brought it home and had it for dinner.

Update from first visit 2 years ago: Went to their new location which was. Wet nice and inviting. As usual the food was awesome! This time we had the grouper puttanesca special, the mushroom ravioli, and the eggplant parmigiana which was the BEST I've ever had! The bread was so soft with a delicious crust and and an olive oil dip. Portions were large and the wine by the glass was a reasonable price. Get the papardelli pasta, it's house made! Took off one star for the inconsistent service. However, we WILL be back! They also do take out.

So for me, when I walk into an Italian restaurant and they are speaking Italian to each other, I feel like I'm in the right place ! I had time to kill before dinner so I sat at the bar and had a cocktail. Strawberry prosecco limoncello spritz. Delicious! And it tastes exactly like you think it would. Nice and bright! It was a pretty drink too. For dinner we were given bread and dipping oil. The bread was rustic and fresh and obviously made on premises. I wanted to try something traditional so I ordered the Amatriciana. This was a rigatoni noodle with a pomodoro sauce with guanciale on top with a touch of pecorino Romano. First, the noodles were al dente and not overcooked like you find in most places. I think they even make them, if what I was told is accurate. The sauce was fantastic. It was a fresh tomato sauce that was clearly made from scratch, emphasizing the tomatoes and not just some processed tomato sauce concoction. It was not sweet (thankfully) and full of flavor. The sautéed and slightly crispy guanciale was a perfect touch. It was just enough to compliment the dish. And who can go to an Italian restaurant and not get Tiramisu? It was creamy and delicious and just what you want. Finally, the entire staff was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!!!!!

This place is fantastic! It is located in Avalon Park which is a very cute area and it is very nice and upscale inside the main dining room. There was a different person bringing out everything like our menus and our water apart from our actual server. Our server was very kind and helpful he even made the frozen sangria that my friend wanted even though they typically only do it on weekends. The food was so good as you can see I forgot to take a picture until I had already eaten some lol.

Cute area in Avalon. They started us off with bread and oil for dipping. I would have like the bread a tad softer but it was good. The pasta fagioli was really good but it needed a little more flavor. It came with some yummy croutons to add. The pizzas were all good. The sauce is on the sweet side which I don't prefer but the crust was nice and crunchy and the pizza had a nice flavor minus the sweet sauce. The staff were all nice and accommodating.

We have been here a few times and the food is amazing every time! Their homemade bread to start with oil/balsamic to dip in is fantastic. We also share a bruschetta that was really good. I ordered the chicken parm - the chicken was freshly breaded and super crispy, with rigatoni and sautéed broccoli on the side. My husband ordered the lamb special which was also really good. We didn't have space for dessert but the tiramisu looked amazing. Service and staff are excellent, we will continue to come back!

Tonight was such a pleasant surprise. We don't go out for Italian often and really stopped after Papa Lozzi closed, but Mangia is an absolute rockstar alternative. We got the amatriciana and the margherita pizza. The sauce on both was both savory and sweet - the kind that you pucker your lips a few times to get the extra bits of flavor from the edges. The mozzarella on the pizza had the best chew and the freshest flavor. The mouth feel of the pasta and the pizza crust were both spot on- a bit of chew combined with an indulgent taste. Top it all with the complimentary homemade bread and olive oil/balsamic/parm dipper and you have one heck of a meal. I don't typically crave Italian but it's safe to say that my hubby and I are already planning our trip back.

This is where my brother and his family have been celebrating special occasions for a few years now. This family owned business puts passion into all their food and drinks. They are authentically Italian. From mozzarella, to Affogato. Gnocchi, pasta, pizza and so much more. On this most recent visit, there were 15 in our party. Not wanting a heavy meal, I ordered a Caprese salad and Pasta Fagiole soup. The mozzarella is so fresh and made on site, served with big pieces of juicy red tomato on top of a bed of greens served with delicious balsamic. My bowl of Pasta Fagiole was big, delicious and served with a few croutons. The chicken Parmesan is a huge portion with, what has to be home made tomato sauce and your pasta of choice. My son ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza served with that delicious mozzarella and a mild tangy sauce. Can't wait to try the chicken Marsala and the pizza again. Their espresso martini is one of the best I've had, and don't pass on the Affogato. We like ours plain, but you have the option to add Baileys.

Good pizza not the best I have had but then again I lived in NY which has the best pizza. The pizza was on time I requested to pick up the pizza pie in my way home. Everything was neat and tidy at the pick up location. Server offer cheese which was great.

My husband wanted to stop here when he saw them on open table. They are in downtown Avalon park and it did not disappoint. It's one of the best Italian restaurants around. We ordered the clams oreganata. It was excellent. Lots of clams in oregano broth with homemade sausage pieces. I ordered their frute-de-mar and I asked for it to be fradiavolo on angel hair pasta. Divine!!!' My husband had the pork loin special over fettuccine. It was excellent!! We finished with lemoncello tiramisu and triple berry tiramisu. Our waiter - Tonino was spectacular. We are so thrilled this opened in the old mulberry spot in Avalon Park. So worth it!! Food was decently priced for the quality. We will be back!

Great Italian food! We are an Italian family and are picky when it comes to Italian and Mangia did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and very attentive. We were seated right away and pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere. There were plenty of booth options. My kid had the spaghetti and meatballs off the kids menu. It was a good size and very nice presentation. We shared a large Fresca salad which was plenty for 2 and really nice. Next had the muscles, followed by a margarita pizza. Both were excellent! Pizza was delicious and classic. Nice crust, great sauce and fresh mozzarella. We will definitely be back! read more

Everything on the menu is authentic Italian cuisine, We ordered the special and got a large portion of food, the grouper was divine. For desert we had Lemoncello cake and it was light and fluffy. Our server was Tonino and his service and recommendations were great. Overall ambiance of the place was warm lighting and romantic with Italian music in the background. read more

This NY'er loves this place!! I grew up eating a lot of italian food on LI/NYC and this was absolutely delicious. Ordered the Lobster ravioli and chicken parm. Server provided suggestions when asked and prompt service. Overall atmosphere was quiet, and tastefully decorated. Will definitely return! read more

So the reason why my rating is only 2 stars is for two reasons, food taste and false advertisement. 1. My wife ordered the Fagioli soup, and it's the most bland cold soup she's ever tasted as a foodie, she had to add salt to it and even so ended up leaving it after a few bites & I had the Caesar salad which I'm surprised to say it's the first time I ever leave food unfinished after leaving the Army, the salad seemed as if the poured an entire bottle of dressing on it turning in into a soup, I was genuinely disappointed. 2. False advertisement, the restaurant has a massive black sign outside saying "Pizza", that's the reason we came in after getting wine next-door. But they DO NOT have NY style pizzas on their menu and the server said they don't server those except the ones on the menu. If you search under their menu for "Menu Pizza" you'll encounter 4 options, which the special pizza is barely made and wasn't available according to our server. So for a restaurant that advertises online NY style pizza but DOES NOT server any and the massive sign outdoors "Pizza", this restaurant is a disappointment. On the bright side, right next door you have the FoodHall with delightful options. read more

Ok start with the food. We had the calamari app and it also had shrimp. Th is came to our table hot and crispy. It was cooked perfectly. We also had the chicken parmigiana and lamb chops with risotto. Again the chicken was perfect, like I cooked it myself. The lamb, though pricey at $40 was so good that I could not complain about the price. This is a very good sign for restaurants, lately many of them seem to be not trying as hard to have quality food. I have been trying to find a restaurant that cooks food better than what I could cook. It's not worth it to go out unless they can do it better. So, I do recommend giving this place a try if you like Italian. More thoughts ... We opted to exchange the spaghetti for fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta and sauce both looked and tasted like the were homemade. Our server, I think her name was Madison was very attentive. The inside was relaxing and though not a large room the ambiance was inviting. I don't want to let my review be perfect, I did have one small complaint. The chicken dish comes with spaghetti, to change it to fettuccine, they have a $5 up charge. I know now a days no one likes to complain about such a trivial thing, but if I am being honest, chard me the $5 bucks and add the fettuccine in a side dish. I will be going back and next time I am trying the pizza. If you went, you know about the fresh bread with oil balsamic and seasoning. Yum. read more

To start the service was amazing. We came in with a large group on easter without a reservation due to a issue with our other one. They sat us within minutes. The food was amazing. The people running it amazing. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!!! We had Simone as our waiter and he was simply amazing!!! Cracking jokes with the entire family! He had us laughing all night! Stopped here randomly on our way back from visiting Kennedy Space Center on our way back to Orlando so felt like we were taking a chance! But we were not disappointed! The food was delicious!! the food, service, and ambiance is 2nd to none! everything on the menu is delectable! tonino is the best and makes you feel right at home! best restaurant in avalon park! recommendations: start with a nice panzanella salad. for entrees you cannot miss with the shrimp scampi, lobster ravioli, or shrimp diavolo. for dessert, the baba or cheesecake will bless you :) top it all off with a delish cappuccino and i guarantee you will thank me! read more

What a gem this place is! While not in the town center of Avalon it sits in a strip mall that is easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. It's not a big place but it has many lovely booths. The decor is simple, but pleasant. The food is outstanding. The bread was absolutely delicious. It was crusty on the outside and soft and warm in the middle. I had the chicken francese. Let me tell you, it was delightful and the portion was so big I had to bring 1/2 home. It came with pasta of your choosing. I got pappardelle and it did not disappoint. The tasty sauce pooled up and clung to the long, wide strips of pasta. My friend got chicken parm of which I took a taste. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the chicken very tender. I indulged in a cannoli and it rivaled that found in the North End Boston. I dare say it was better. The shell wasn't homemade but the cheese inside was. I'm glad we split it because it was sizable. Our waiter was kind and pleasant. I will most definitely return. Can't wait to try the pizza! read more

It's one of those dishes you order more for the experience than the taste. Paired everything with a bottle of prosecco, which made the whole night feel a little extra and very much needed. And shoutout to Zack--he was a great waiter. Attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience smooth from start to finish. Overall, great vibes, solid food, and a fun dining experience. Definitely a spot I'd come back to--especially for that pizza and burrata situation.

The food was amazing, with the lobster ravioli and shrimp scampi being some of the best I've ever had. Was the perfect amount of creamy, and not overpowering at all. The service was very good and the staff was attentive throughout the evening. The restaurant has a classy vibe, perfect for a nice night out, and the pricing is reasonable for the quality offered. However, I did find that the cappuccino wasn't as warm as I would have liked, and the upscale vibe of the place suggests they should offer fresh grated Parmesan cheese instead of powdered.
