Very delicious local pizzeria and Italian. So happy to finally have a non-chain pizza place in the Waterford lakes area! pizza is really good, other Italian faves are also yummy. Online ordering is quick and easy. Garlic knots are fab!

18" cheese and mushroom pizza. really good!

Pasquale's on Alafaya next to Publix. Not Pasqually's which is Chuck E. cheese! Don't order from the wrong place!!! This is definitely a good pie. Really good crust. It's a greasy floppy pizza and that is a good thing. NY style I would call it. I would say equivalent to Goodfella's but much closer. And the delivery time was pretty good showing they've hit their stride since their opening. Definitely a top tier pie in the area. And look at those "small" garlic knots!

Ambiance: small establishment. About 6 tables total. Food: ordered chicken Parmesan and lasagna. The chicken was hard and left us with a stomach ache but the portion was good for the price. The lasagna was good and piping hot! Best part was the incredible garlic knots that were included with the meal. Skip the homemade house dressing, too oily. Service: quick and friendly.

Yum yum yum! Best pizza in town. The spot is small and seems very family oriented. Order ahead and pick up your fresh pizza.

Little spot in Eastwood Publix shopping center. Nice people - the owner came out from the kitchen twice and spoke to me. I've eaten a million subs at a million local Italian spots and this as definitely one of the better ones. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Classic 4.4 rating here, I'm definitely going back again.

Grabbed 2 slices of pizza, good pizza Glad this was nearby, I didn't want the chain pizza today. Service was good and prompt. The place looks nice inside, I'll need to come back with the family and order a whole pie

    Meatball Parm Sub
    David P.

So the meatball parm sub was fire. I had to go back and try their pizza. Based on how the sandwich went I had high hopes. Needless to say I was totally disappointed. I ordered a LG Pie with pepperoni. They used those small snack size pepperoni and the crust was pretty bad. Pizza was way too thin and way too expensive for what you get. But I would go back for another meatball parm!

I selected the pesto and mortadella because I have never seen mortadella on a pizza outside of my Italy vacation so... lord help me it was delicious. This combo of ingredients was perfection. This was my first time at Tratto and I already have made plans to return. My plans include trying another new-to-me pizza combination but no promises. I might get the pesto and mortadella on repeat for the foreseeable future. The pizzas can be ordered in Thin crust or Detroit style. I ordered my pizza as thin crust which was exceptional and my dining partner ordered a Detroit style with pepperoni and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had enough leftovers to take home for another meal. This restaurant accepts reservations. The service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant interior ambiance was elegant and modern - Dim and comfortable on a hot and way too sunny day. As for seating, There are 2 outside cafe-style tables but this establishment is mainly an interior dining restaurant. It is attached to the Walmart neighborhood market behind the McDonalds in avalon park so there is plenty of shared parking. Can't wait to return.

I'm usually not a ratatouille girl at all, but THIS one? Whew. The burrata on top took it to another level--creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. I'd go back just for that alone. Now...the Detroit-style pizza?? Where has this been all my life? We got the Spicy Pepperoni and I'm still thinking about it. The combo of crispy edges, fluffy crust, hot honey, and goat cheese was unreal. At this point, I feel like I need to book a trip to Detroit just to compare lol. We also tried the cheese wheel pasta--flavor-wise it was just okay for me, but the tableside presentation was definitely the highlight. It's one of those dishes you order more for the experience than the taste. Paired everything with a bottle of prosecco, which made the whole night feel a little extra and very much needed. And shoutout to Zack--he was a great waiter. Attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience smooth from start to finish. Overall, great vibes, solid food, and a fun dining experience. Definitely a spot I'd come back to--especially for that pizza and burrata situation.

The Review: Parents were in the mood for Italian, wanting to try somewhere different we settled on Papa Lozzi. I appreciate their being open for lunch! The interior was had a relatively intimate feeling setting and had a classy bar - though the massive empty area in the back was kind of odd. Not sure if they were remodeling or if it's used for something else but I'd recommend perhaps putting up a curtain wall or something as it detracted from the experience if you were seated near the back. Our server (Brandon I believe was his name) was very attentive and catered to substitution requests (like adding a side of pasta, and adding cheese and pepper to the bread dipping sauce) with ease. The bread was nice and crunchy, and the dipping oil pairing was a nice and classic touch. I love soup and was hoping for some Italian wedding but the soup of the day I understand changes and this visit was Stracciatella. I've never had it before (it was described as "Italian egg drop") and it was a nice light soup. Personally I'm a fan of stock, but I would certainly be open to ordering it again. The strange (and amusing?) thing was the decision to use large table spoons for the soup cups. It took up about half the size! An interesting choice. For the main entree I decided upon puttanesca. They weren't kidding around with the chili flakes and it was a bit spicy for my taste but the overall balance of the olives, anchovies, all blended together perfectly and created a lovely flavor profile for the sauce. I definitely would recommend! Another in our group got lasagna and I'm not sure what it was but the sauce was incredibly bland. Perhaps some salt and pepper? Garlic? Not positive but it was not a dish I'd recommend. I still cannot tell if they did or did not claim to make their own pasta (read mixed info, including on menu). It did not taste homemade so there was that to be aware of in case anyone is hopeful for that crafted taste but it was cooked perfectly. Overall, it's nice to see a local Italian restaurant in the area. While some items shined and others were disappointing, I do think it's worth giving them a visit if you're in the mood for an independent restaurant experience. The website was very sluggish and wouldn't process our order, so we had to call to get it processed. I ordered chicken parmigiana and a Caesar salad. The chicken parmigiana was prepared in the most unusual way, it was put between 2 pieces of pita instead of on top of pasta. I didn't want the pita, so I had to pick it off which wasn't easy as all the cheese had stuck to it. As a result it was very dry with very little sauce, it tasted good, but not what I wanted. The pesto penne was really good, salad was fine. We also got a caprese salad, but the cheese was too salty and the balsamic had a muted flavor. Disappointed with this experience unfortunately.

And after searching Uber Eats for Calzones, I settled on Goodfellas since I had it before and it was a reasonable price... even for delivery. These things are huge, thin crusted, and unless you possess some serious pizza folding skills, best approached with a fork and knife. First up was Jason's Mom's Slice (JMS): tomato sauce, chicken, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, tomatoes, ranch, Jason's Mom's sauce, and mozzarella. Flavor wise, this was my favorite of the two. The caramelized onions were especially good, although I wish they had been distributed a little more evenly across the slice. My only real issue was the crust had quite a bit of sag. I suspect the large tomato slices placed directly on the crust released moisture as they cooked, making an already thin crust difficult to support. Next was the Meaty McMeatface Slice (MMS), loaded with tomato sauce, birria beef, ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, and mozzarella. They aren't kidding about the "meaty" part. The birria was the star and added a nice depth of flavor, but overall I found this slice a little dry. A side of Jason's Mom's sauce would probably have been the perfect companion, although it comes with an additional $1.50 charge. I also ordered the small Greek salad, which was anything but small. It came loaded with perfectly ripe tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, black olives, fetta and pepperoncini. The menu lists romaine lettuce, but what I received looked and tasted more like escarole or frisee, with a noticeable bitterness. I'm not certain what the green actually was, but it definitely didn't taste like romaine. The menu also mentions roasted red peppers, though I couldn't find any in my portion. I liked the dressing, but the salad could have used a little seasoning. I didn't see salt anywhere around the bar where I was sitting. Maybe there was some near the drink station, but apparently, I wasn't motivated enough to launch a salt expedition. The ordering process is straightforward. Walk in, order from the counter underneath the overhead menus, grab your drink, and find a seat. I asked for water and was initially handed a small plastic cup for the self-serve station. I asked if I could get a cold beer pint glass instead, and they happily accommodated the request. Thank you! A small gesture, but one I appreciated. There is plenty of seating, although the bar stools where I sat felt sufficiently rickety to make me question their structural integrity every time I shifted my weight. Total damage was about $37 including a 20% tip. To be fair, the portions are substantial. I boxed up leftover pizza and salad and finished them for breakfast the following morning, so there was certainly plenty of food. Still, for two slices and a small salad at a counter service pizza joint, the final tab felt a bit steep. Overall, some very good flavors and gigantic portions with a few execution and value issues. Jason's Mom won this round, although next time I might ask her to go a little easier on the tomatoes. And yes, giant cold pizza for breakfast remains one of life's underrated pleasures.
