The order stating it's a pick up. Not a delivery

I went there to pick up an order. But the woman gave it to another person in front of me saying it was a DoorDash order obviously I didn't know it was mine until I asked her where my order was and upon telling me she gave it to the person prior I was confused. I'm not sure if they confirmed the order but it didn't look like it and basically because of their negligence to confirm the order to the person who was "picking up" I lost 40$ for decent pizza. I had an app literally stating it was for pick up as well but they gave it to a person for "delivery". I don't recommend this pizzeria. A little shady or could be just messy service. But overall not a pleasant experience losing money to their negligence. -stay away

I had Manginos for the first time tonight. It was a cheese pizza with Sausage for National Sausage Pizza Day today. It was so good. The sauce was tangy, and a bit spicy in the best way possible. The cheese was spread out so evenly, the sausage was well cooked, and the crust had a pretty good texture as well. I found out about this place from the MoCo Show's website, and I'm not disappointed, anything but. So thank you MoCo Show for introducing me to this place, and thank you Manginos for making such great food and to the kind lady at the front who greeted me.

The gyro was really good and can never go wrong with the old bay fries. Been going to Manginos since before they moved locations. Never disappoints

Signs that show pizza by the slice.

Very sad. I've been coming here years... but now that new ownership has taken over it seems things have changed a bit. You would think that because they have a sign saying, "Pizza by the slice", that you could actually get that lol. Calling over the phone they said under new management they don't do it after 3pm never have I been denied this request. 3 weeks ago I had they're steak & cheese... felt like I have COVID afterwards. Had a fever for a day and a half. I hope they change certain things. It was awesome at the gas station off Germantown Rd

When I tell people that the best pizza in the area comes from a gas station, people don't believe me. As others have noted, don't let the location inside a Washingtonian Express put you off. I choose Manginos over national chains any day. I typically get the New Yorker with two toppings (pepperoni and extra cheese) for $12.99 and they have never let me down. When I have out-of-towners visit, they too enjoy the taste of the pizza. I live in Gaithersburg, so I literally drive past several pizza places to specifically go there. There is just something about the taste. The crust isn't too thick and the slices are huge and foldable. They also give you a small container of dressing with each pizza and it does add to the experience. The wings are crispy and flavorful. I have not gone wrong with anything that I've ordered there. Long time customer and glad that I found this gem.

I heard a new location is opening. Anyone know where it will be?

I forget the name of the plaza, it’s the one with Roy Rogers. It’s over near the Little Cesar’s Pizza!

Each one included a sandwich platter (Italian, ham, and turkey), a half‑tray of salad (I chose Greek and Caesar), two extra‑large pizzas (veggie, Margherita, meat, and Supreme), and a deluxe dessert tray with cheesecake, cannoli, brownies, and cookies. The food arrived right at 11:30 as promised. The manager even let me borrow the insulated pizza bags to keep everything warm until our lunch started, as long as I returned them afterward, which I really appreciated. Overall, the food was good and my colleagues enjoyed it. My only critique is the serving sizes. The Office Hero package is advertised to serve 20-30 people, but while we had plenty of sandwiches and desserts left over, we ran out of salads and pizzas. I think those portions could be increased to better match the rest of the package. Pricing felt affordable and reasonable compared to similar catering options. I would definitely order from them again.

However, our last few visits have been somewhat underwhelming, and during a recent visit we had a particularly disappointing experience with a white pizza. The pizza was hot and had just come out of the oven when I picked it up. I live only about five minutes away, yet by the time I got home, I noticed oil leaking onto my leather car seat. When I opened the box, it appeared as though olive oil had been poured over the entire pizza. The crust was completely saturated, the box itself was soaked through, and the top of the pizza was just as greasy as the bottom. The pizza was an oily mess and, frankly, inedible. At $24, it was a frustrating waste of money. We ate only some of the crust and ended up throwing the rest away. After posting my review, a reply was posted and asked to reach out so the situation could be addressed. I did, and the response was prompt. Shortly afterward, the store called me and explained that the pizza sauce had been prepared incorrectly with too much oil, and they acknowledged that the issue was their fault. They refunded the cost of the pizza and handled the matter professionally. I appreciate the quick response and willingness to make things right. Because of that, I'm happy to say I'm once again a satisfied customer and look forward to future visits.

It's a straightforward, family-run place in Olde Town--nothing fancy about the setup, just a solid local spot that focuses on getting the food right. Their pizza is consistently good. The crust holds up, the cheese melts the way you want it to, and the sauce has actual flavor instead of just tasting like plain tomato. I've ordered a few different pies over time and they all come out the way you'd hope from a neighborhood pizza shop. The pasta dishes are generous and reliable too if you're in the mood for something other than a pie. It's the kind of place where you order takeout or swing by for a quick meal and don't overthink it. Service is friendly and no-nonsense, which fits the whole vibe. For a local pizza option that's dependable and doesn't try too hard, Freddy's does the job well. It's one of the spots I still recommend when someone asks where to get a solid pie nearby

When I was growing up, I always loved Pizza Hut deep dish pizza or pan pizza. Nowadays, that flavor or type of pizza is non existent. Coming here and trying the deep dish really brought back memories. This is by far not real deep dish pizza. It is really pan pizza. It's not filled with sauce or toppings like a Chicago deep dish. What I liked was the texture and fluffiness of the crust as you bite into a slice. It satisfied what I was craving at the time and they did it well. This location is in the corner of a strip and the parking there is quite tight. I recommend parking a bit farther and walking a bit to avoid the hassle. The store is quite small so there is about 3 people's worth of space for social distancing. They do not take American Express. I learned that the hard way. Not the best pizza and they do not try to be. Only try them out for speed and bargain pizza. Or, in my case, if they offer something you crave.
