I am in love with Sabai Sabai! The service is fantastic, they can easily make vegan meals, they have a nice beer selection, and the price point is so reasonable! My most recent visit I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu and asked for no fish sauce or animal products. The server replied back to me saying, "Vegan. Got it." I was so relieved they understood I wanted a vegan meal and I felt so at ease that I would be given an entree that was completely plant-based. I also ordered a beer with my meal for only $6! The beer came in a can however they gave me a glass as well. At that price I didn't mind the beer was not on tap. The food came out quickly despite their dining area being fairly packed. I was so impressed with how attentive the servers were while monitoring many tables. My drunken noodles were so flavorful with a little spice. I loved how well the vegetables were cooked and they were generous with the portion of tofu as well. I will certainly come back for more meals here and will continue to explore all the vegan options. I have been a Sabai Sabai customer for a very long time and have noticed the quality lowering since the pandemic, however our experience this weekend caused us to write a review and discontinue eating at their establishment. We purchased our meal and there was a dead bug in our salad. On top of that, our other items were of poor quality. Based on this, we were not comfortable eating the meal as a whole. When calling Sabai Sabai, the person we spoke to apologized and told us that they would credit us for the meal and it would take a day or two. After following up with Sabai Sabai 4 days later, we found out the managers never relayed this information to the delivery service, and once they did, it was too late to get a credit, and at that point, we would have to call consumer services ourselves and only get a credit for the $13 salad. Having a bug in your food is a compromise of an entire meal. The trust and faith you have in a food establish is completely failed when a bug is in your meal. It's not like a strand of hair, it's a dead insect. The fact that the location not only failed to act timely to remedy it, but did not credit the entire meal is a breach of trust and accountability. read more

Friday 8/2/2024 I wanted to try some new Thai food in the area so I made a delivery order through Postmates/Uber eats and got the drunken noodles with chicken (medium spicy), Penang curry with chicken (mild spicy), and crispy duck with basil (mild spicy). All the items arrived secured and safe thanks to the smart packaging. - The drunken noodles was alright but you can definitely taste the KICK of that medium spice level. The spice was like the only thing I tasted, which isn't a good thing. I don't know if the spice was too strong for me or if it was the lack of flavor from the drunken noodles but either way I won't get the same exact thing for next time. - The Penang curry with chicken was my second favorite item as it was flavorful and tasty but the portion itself was definitely smaller than what I was expecting (especially when you consider the price tag). - The crispy duck was easily the best dish I had. It was crispy, juicy, moist, flavorful, and just all around very good. Also the glaze/sauce that was cooked with it complimented the dish very well. All in all, sabai sabai was a pretty good Thai food experience: I really enjoyed the crispy duck & Penang curry and I would certainly recommend it. The only reason I can't give it a 5 star is due to the fact that the chicken isn't free (it's $3 extra) and that's my first time dealing with that at a Thai restaurant and I ain't rocking with it. read more

The restaurant has remodeled since they closed their dining area during COVID. It's very modern inside with plenty of tables for seating. We came during lunch on a weekday and it wasn't crowded. I ordered the Drunken Noodles. It was so so. Not the best Drunken Noodles I've had before. It was a bit on the drier side - not enough sauce to coat the noodles. My brother ordered the Crispy Duck with Basil and that dish was actually very delicious and came out with plenty of meat! I highly recommend this dish for anyone who likes duck. Since I was in the area, I called in to place a to go order. Person who answered phone was not a native English speaker and was difficult to understand. Since I have dietary restrictions it is essential that my order is placed correctly. I asked her to confirm something and she replied "I already told you" and hung up on me. This was at the end of placing my order, so I called back not knowing whether they would be filling my order or not. I told her that I did not appreciate being hung up on and asked to speak to a manager. She said, "I am the manager". No apology was offered by the way. Do not waste your time paying high prices for mediocre food only to be abused. Service: very good , friendly and efficient Food: corn cakes blend, not much taste if you don't dip in the cucumber sweet and sour sauce , the mixing batter tasted too much starch; chicken skewers were ok, has to eat with the peanut sauce otherwise the chicken only has curry powder flavor; chives dumplings, don't order it, not much chives stuffed and the skin was thick and heavy ; drunken noodles with shrimp was good, tasty; floating market beef noodles flavor was ok, beef slices were chunky like beef stew & very difficult to eat, beef ball weren't even sliced in half never had a rice noodle served with such huge pieces of beef. Unbelievably Disappointed After 15+ Years of Loyalty I've been coming to Sabai Sabai Simply Thai for over 15 years with my family. My parents introduced us to this restaurant, and we've brought our extended family and friends here well over 50 times. We were consistent and very loyal customers as this was our favorite thai restaurant, visiting at least once a month before COVID, and even during the pandemic, we supported the restaurant by ordering takeout. The food used to be amazing, and we truly appreciated the quality and service they used to provide. However, as of recent, the food quality has drastically decreased and the service they now provide is awful. I am not someone who writes bad reviews; in fact, this is the first negative review I've ever written on Yelp. But I feel compelled to share our recent experience, which has left me and my entire family, including our extended relatives and friends, so disappointed that we will never return. My sister recently had an extremely unpleasant encounter with the restaurant. She placed a pickup order, as she has done numerous times before. However, this time, the "crispy basil fish" she ordered was very soggy, which is very uncharacteristic based on our countless past orders of the same exact dish. The drunken noodles were also dry and almost completely flavorless. She simply asked to return it and receive a refund, which seemed reasonable given our long history with the restaurant. Earlier this week, she decided to order again because she was craving Thai food. Shockingly, the person on the phone and the manager refused to take her order and banned her from ordering for three whole months, accusing her of "causing problems." This is completely unacceptable. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this restaurant over the past 15+ years, and for them to treat a loyal customer like this is beyond disappointing. Sabai Sabai Simply Thai has lost our business completely due to their inability to take accountability for their actions and the incredibly rude behavior we have encountered. It's so heartbreaking to leave behind a place we loved for such long time, but we cannot support a restaurant that treats its customers so poorly. We will not be returning. Sabai Sabai is our go to for Thai food! We order pretty regularly throughout the year when I'm craving for Thai. We ordered Crispy Duck, Drunken Noodles with Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and the Salmon with Tamarind sauce. Their food is very tasty (even if we have to eat no spice cos we have 2 toddlers). The salmon was a bit overcooked since we like it cooked more medium, but it was still delicious. Stopped for lunch at this Thai restaurant on Tuesday. Haven't dined here for over three years. The restaurant closed its dining room during Covid and just offered takeout. It recently reopened the dining room again. My wife had her favorite drunken noodles, this time with beef. I mentioned to the server that a dish that I liked that used to be on the menu wasn't there anymore. It was a vegetable stirfry with chicken, cashews, and rice. He said, "Not a problem we will be glad to make it for you". He also mentioned that if there was ever anything else on that we didn't see on the menu that we should we should just ask for it and they would make it if they could. Both the drunken noodles and the vegetable stirfry dishes were excellent. The portion size was so large we could not finish either luncheon entrée and needed to ask for carry out containers. we are very happy that this restaurant is offering dining again, and we will be dining here when we are in the area in the future. In summary the food was excellent and the service was outstanding and very fast. The bill for the two entrées, iced tea for my wife, and Diet Coke for me including tax and 20% gratuity was $46 total. We started with the Som Tam (papaya salad), which was excellent. For the main dish, I got the drunken noodles with chicken, which came out so temperature hot (but not overcooked) that I had to let it rest a little before eating it, which is a good thing since I like my food really hot vs. just warm. He got the Basil Pork Crisp, which I tried and was just delish! I wish I had gotten it although mine was very good as well. Nice sized portions (I had enough for another meal). I ordered through Yelp and when I arrived people were waiting outside for their orders. They had tables blocking the door and took one customer at a time. I'd say they took necessary precautions, but there were more people outside than o was comfortable with. Either way, they did what they could. Pick up was fairly easy. I walked in and they gave me my order; I had paid ahead of time through the app. I didn't have much experience to mention about customer service, but no complaints. The pad Thai was really good. "Thai spicy" is not actually thai spicy as it wasn't spicy enough for me. The curry puffs were crispy and flaky, I definitely recommend them. This has been a family favorite in our household for years and today we decided to indulge ourselves in Thai excellence. For starters, we got chicken puffs (sweeter than expected but pillowy and flaky, albeit only two pieces), calamari (good portion and perfectly fried, quiet tasty), and the beef salad (Nua Nam Tok, slight heat to it, but refreshing and just a tad sour too). These were the following items: - Crispy duck with basil (my favorite of the menu, perfectly fried crispy duck and they put the sauce on the side so it wouldn't get soggy, very tasty to eat with plain rice) - Spicy catfish (very tender fish that melts in your mouth and oozes flavor thanks to the chili paste, peppercorn, basil, spices, and other goodies) - Chili basil eggplant with chicken (both eggplant and chicken tasted amazing combined together in this dish). - Beef drunken noodles (the spiciest item of all the things we ordered, but it was packed with flavor and the portion was solid. We prefer to use UberEats for our online delivery orders but I believe they have their own web site format. We've been ordering online delivery consistently for almost 2 yrs now due to you know....and this spot is in our fam's rotation (we have several). The eats always (and I mean always) arrive very securely - like after they put the entrees in a container covered, they wrap the covered container in a plastic bag, and knot 'em all up. We like that - truly appreciate. Flavors are still familiar and we're happy y'all are still around. As usual hopefully photos are helpful. 99.9999% of the time I post foodporn. Food is good but service etiquette is bad. Dined there last weekend on Friday . Server was always in a hurry. She used to pick plates up when our food was not even over . I think my beer in the bottle was not completely done and I saw it gone from my table. Server is very much in a hurry to serve you and get you out. Food is definitely good here no doubt and I have taken a carry out several times but dining in is a no-no. I think it's the only Thai restaurant in the general vicinity, so I come here to get my Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles when I don't feel like going to places further away. However, the price points for all dishes seem very steep, even with the large portion sizes.
