It was shredded.... propped up by white potatoes so of course it looks plentiful but in actuality it wasn't. I usually don't leave bad reviews, if I don't like something I just won't go back. But due to the lack of flavor/ no taste, the serving size, the price& it was just so far off from any curry chicken I've ever had, that it needs to be mentioned. Yes, I am a fan! We were looking for some good home cook meal and found it here. It was almost closing time and they served us all they have left. Food was great, from the rice, to the sweet plantains, beans, yucca, chicken. We loved it all! Super friendly staff. Do not let people go in front of you because you are deciding what to eat from all the good stuff. ;0) We were so nice and let them go ahead and they ordered most of the chicken that was left. Having moved to this area, I missed hispanic food, especially Peruvian. My boyfriend and I gave this place a shot. It was absolutely empty, which worried me because it was a Saturday evening, but still went over to order. First, I thought it was odd that I had to go to the counter to order. For 3 workers in this medium sized restaurant and no customers... why not the extra love? We ordered our favorite dishes and said we'd just drink water. And not to be cheap or anything, but I got a teensy bit bugged when she charged us $4 bucks for bottled water... that we didn't request. I know you have cups and a sink, that's what water at a restaurant means unless otherwise specified. I didn't say anything though, just wanted to enjoy dinner. We sat and waited. The dishes were mediocre to say the least, not much flavor. Our side of plantains was really sad. I think there were like 3 or 4 small pieces for the price of what should have been ATLEAST 7 or 8. Then I wondered why we got charged extra on one of the dishes. The young girl who brought us the food didn't know, so she grabbed the lady who rung us up (her mother maybe). She came over and was really rude because I had a question. She asked me what was wrong angrily. I asked her nicely why we got charged a different price than the menu said. The dish had beef AND chicken, so we got charged extra. The chicken one was the same price as the beef one. I think that if I'm getting X amount of protein, that you would split it in half between the two different choices. It didn't look like we got EXTRA anything so I didn't understand. Truly, an explanation was all I needed and everything would have been okay, but the lady's attitude was the reason I left the menu she had previously given me to take home and never returned. read more

I haven't tried their chicken and have gone straight for their traditional Peruvian dishes. It is satisfactory, but I believe because a lot of the ingredients are hard or nearly impossible to find in this area. I spoke to one of the workers who said they have to bring Peruvian spice and Inca Cola from North Jersey or NYC.
