I really don't know why this place has so many negative recent reviews. My experience was a favorable one on 12/29 around 2 pm. When we first got to the shop there was only one group in front of us. By the time we left it seemed a rush was happening. We ordered the macedonias (vanilla ice cream with nuts and assorted fruit) and the pico de gallo, which is watermelon, jicama, cucumber, and pineapple drenched in chamoy and spice. Both were very good but didn't quite top my favorite go-to spot back home. Also, the ladies working here were nice. I was worried when I started reading reviews after we ordered, but all was well. They have the little pager system to keep track of orders and although we heard the beeps going off when orders were ready, our did not beep - they just called out the order and we went to the counter to pick it up. Would I go back? Maybe. They had an horchata and fresa drink that I would love to sample. But with so many places to try and so little time (as a tourist), a return trip will have to wait for our next visit. read more

This review is mainly directed at the customer service. Typically the food has been decent, nothing spectacular or amazing in my opinion. But this last time my family went, the customer service was a little rougher than usual. There was a family sitting next to us waiting for their order and after they received it, one of the workers walks outside where they were sitting, says "Hey this isn't yours that's the wrong order" and rips it out of her hand. Had to try this raspado shop. It shares a space with Boost mobile phone store. Very popular place with a line to order. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Mangoyaya. It has mango, chamoy and ice. It's was cold, sweet and spicy. Really good with chunks of mango in a chamoy rimmed cup. It was messy when taking the top off to get to the mango. They literally made us wait for 30 minutes for 2 aguas frescas and a banana spilt, their reason for taking forever is because they were doing online orders first. My opinion is they should at least have 2 or 3 people doing online orders and the rest of them should work on orders that have been place in person. All the ladies are extremely rude, I'm literally paying for my stuff I'm not getting anything free so there's no reason why a costumer who's paying for their things should receive attitude back. In my opinion there's better places out there who are extremely friendly. I don't recommend Mangos at all. read more

We found this place on Instagram, and decided to check it out as soon as we got our rental car and we're leaving the airport. We ordered one elote entero with Tostitos on the side, one a elote with flamin hot Cheetos, two tacos de birria, and one Mangonada. The elote was great, and I loved the Tostitos. The chips they used had some spice to it, and we added nacho cheese. I would say the mangonada was a little lackluster. I've definitely had better. I absolutely LOVE the strawberry lemonade here, but I will no longer be giving this place any of my business. The wait time here is ridiculous for the lack of business they have. I have come to this place for months at different times on different days and it's always the same thing. There is no reason there should be a 15-20 minute wait every time for a lemonade and sealed bag of chips. I love Mangos! There is always a line out the door, which is understandable because Tucson is hot but sometimes I wish my order would come out faster. It typically takes about 20-30 minutes for your order and everybody starts getting really impatient. Other than the wait, everything else is amazing. The girls running the show are always friendly and provide amazing customer service. The Raspados are always exceptional, my favorite is the Fresa/Mango combination with extra Lechera and Ice Cream. It is very confusing in there and very tiny, they could take orders until people run out but not enough people making the stuff, it got very crowded and hot, they definitely need to work out a system to organize themselves in busy times, and only take orders until at least half of the people in there are gone, they have 6 tables ver crowded area, and outside tables also but no shade outside. We stopped by to grab some aguas frescas in Tucson on the way to Houston and these ladies were as sweet as can be. We ordered two delicious limonadas and were offered to try the other flavors. They all so tasty! We loved the horchata, melon, jamaica, and mango. They were all equally good, but sweet so it's best to put these on a lot of ice. The menu is mostly in Spanish, but they can translate if you have difficulty. It was about $7 for two pretty large drinks (about 32 oz). Yuuuuuuummy! Mangos offered better flavor than the raspados ive had in Mexico! The wait is a bit ridiculous. I recommend calling ahead so you aren't waiting an hour.
