Half expecting a little Teriyaki restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised it was much more upscale than I had imagined and has wonderfully innovative menu options. I had the Blackened Salmon and loved it because I loved their use of apples and mangos in such a tasty dish. I also tried the Banana Crème Brûlée which was a rotating dessert and it was Amazing. My compliments to the chef Diana who was lovely to chat with as I sat at the kitchen bar.

We got the stone bowl fried rice and blackened salmon with apple slaw.... I wasn't a fan of the fried rice- it was way too salty and kind of gooey/wet? And was an additional $6 for a couple little chunks of chicken in it (kind of ridiculous). So when I read "blackened salmon" I was thinking blackened seasoning or something?-Nope, it was literally just charred black. Had no flavor other than "burnt", but at least it was tender- a glaze or a marinade would have been nice. Had super high expectations after those apps and the salmon seriously fell short.... The apple slaw that came with it was to die for though! flavorful and the perfect combination with the sweetness from the apple, tang from the mango, a bit of spice from the jalapeño, and a touch of acidity- super refreshing on a 90+ degree day! Plan to try some other dishes next time

What good fortune to find this food truck at Bale Breakers. Their usual set up is across town,…read moreover a half hour away from where we live. The Pad Thai is on point. I would order every time except I want to try their curries. We went a second time hoping for curry, but the menu was Japanese focus and we ended up with Tonkotsu Ramen and Pork Katsu with Rice. Both were delicious. I hope to get the Mussaman Curry on a future visit and if it's a no go, it won't break my heart to order the Pad Thai. My only knock - The provided plastic forks and spoons are flimsy and there are no knives. We bring our own flatware and in the case of the Ramen, the table knife was a blessing to cut up the generous slices of meat. The provided ramen bowl does not bode well for cutting the meat and we used the inside lid of the potstickers for cutting. Please Aunty Jam's, keep coming to Bale Breakers!

When we tried to contact them using the phone number on the Yelp website no one answered. We contacted Yelp/GrubHub and they told us that they would not provide a refund because the order was already being prepared. This is clearly a case of the company having false information posted on their website, and not being willing to correct their error. They are fraudulently taking my money. This is stealing. Update: we contacted the online support and they refunded us.

I love the TonKatsu Ramen with chicken and the PHO. The broths are so delicous. My husband usually gets the teriyaki chicken or steak bowl. Also very tasty. The people are so nice. The time from ordering to eating is a bit long but not horrible. Its very clean.

I tried to order the mango sticky rice and Khao man gai but they didn't serve that. Just sushi and ramen. She said why but her accent was a little heavy and I didn't really understand. So I ended up just getting sushi. Good seasoning on the rice. It was a little light but better that than the other way. Good ratio of rice to fillings as well. Volcano roll was spicy good as we like to say at home. Also got the rainbow, California and unagi roll. All very delicious. They had a deal with a free California roll if you order $50. Overall makes this a very good deal. They definitely struggle with efficiency and im not sure if im a fan of the half open kitchen with the air fryer and microwave on the open side. I would return for sure. Hope for more items.

When we arrived, the seating area is full, but we were still greeted warmly. We ordered our meal to go but we were still offered a place to sit in glasses of water while we waited. We both ordered pho. I got the combination pho with everything and my wife ordered the beef pho. She also ordered some pork bao buns, and I ordered soup dumplings. They packaged the pho very well, with the broth, vegetables and meat, and one container and the noodles, some of the extra meat, lines, cilantro, basil, etc. In another container, the servings were huge. We had plenty for another meal the next day. The pho broth was excellent. We did have to heat it up again when we added the noodles and extras, but it was well worth it. The soup dumplings were flavorful and warm and the bao buns had a mild but rich pork filling. This was a real treat while we were on the road.

Not too sweet, but definitely sweet enough to cut the bitter taste of the coffee. The coffee itself wasn't too bitter or sour tasting. I'd get that again. The banh mi, the pork belly option is double the price of any other protein. I'm not sure if that works out in the worth it department for me, but the meat proportion in the sandwich is worth it. The veggies seemed pretty fresh, crisp, but no jalapeño in the sandwich. Not sure if that's a regular thing, but I've eaten enough banh mi with jalapeños, so I consider that a necessary ingredient. The bread was toasted pretty heavily, perhaps cooked in the grease of the pork belly? Not sure. I wasn't a huge fan of that, the bread itself was difficult to tell if it was light and springy with a flaky crust, because it was toasted so hard. Either way, the sandwich was eaten, the coffee was gulped down. I'd probably try other things here. Smelled good in there. Service was nice, staff seemed really amicable and they were turning tables as quickly as people were hopping out of their seats.

Certain restaurants have more of an assembly line quality to them, where the food isn't really…read morecooked by someone with skill but rather it's someone with lesser cooking skill just assembling a meal. The food at this restaurant seems that way. One dish we had was the Chef's Fried Rice. You could tell there was a premade batch of base fried rice to which they added some meat at the bottom of the plate and then put a scoop of the base rice on top. It clearly wasn't all fried together in a wok like most restaurants would do. Order a different fried rice and get different meat at the bottom of the plate with a scoop of the same base fried rice poured on top. The pho was also like a base soup which could go any number of directions depending on what the customer ordered. Pho is just the rice noodles added to the bowl plus the combination of meats that the customer ordered. Just pour the broth on top of all that and that's your bowl of pho. Unlike a pho you would find in a big city pho place you could tell it wasn't based on a typical pho broth made of beef, but maybe mostly less expensive and more easily sourced chicken or pork bones. Big city or small city, perhaps that's no excuse for not having a characteristic pho broth since we frequent the single pho restaurant in the mid-Columbia River Gorge area (with a fraction of the population) and its broth is spot on with the characteristic beefy pho flavor. The food here did satisfy the need for a decent meal. Our order of pho was wrong but it was quickly corrected. Service here was good.
