I used to frequent MB when it was owned by the previous owners. Several days each week I would drive from my home in Great Neck, and pick up my order of half a dozen egg sandwiches on toasted bagels or a pound of lox cream cheese and a pound of veggie cream cheese. This ritual went on from 2015 - 2019. My family and I loved the food from MB. Fast forward to 2020 and now my family and I live in Manhasset. MB has a different owner and the quality in my opinion has gone south. The bagels now are bigger but are way too dough. I recently purchase a pound of lox cream cheese and there was barely 2 or 3 little oueces of fish in the pound of cream cheese. The sausage, egg and cheese and bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches leaves a lot to desire. My kids now get all their breakfast sandwiches from Orlando's. When it comes to our hankering for yummy bagels, we go out of our way and hit Munsey Park Bagels on Northern Blvd. MPB has a wide variety of freshly made bagels. They have the freshest lox, veggie, scallion and jalapeno cream cheese available anywhere. In fact you actually taste the delicious smoky lox in every schmear and bite. Their tunafish salad is to die for and is always fresh and reminds me of the tunafish salad my mom used to make when I was growing up. The only thing better than the food at Munsey Patk Bagel are the people who work there! read more

Best NY-style bagel I had in this area of Long Island. Had an egg bagel with cream cheese, and it was fluffy and flavorful. Sat inside to eat, but not a lot of tables to choose from. Every bagel place in the NY-area feels like they have to make a black and white cookie, and they don't. I'm a big fan of B&W's and cake icing doesn't belong on this cookie (texture-wise), yet the flavor of the black and the white side was pretty mellow (which was good). I feel good writing this because I have been there many times and finally penning this long overdue review. I am really happy with this shop.. It's not far from my workplace and I have had the opportunity to dine in and many times takeout lunch to eat back at my office too. It's a nice bright shop with a friendly team. I really never new the old owners so I can not compare. The bagels here are always fresh and tasty. I always remark that I like these "plump" bagels. I would not feel the same if they were not as soft and fresh as there are. Plenty of types to choose from too. My standard goto sandwich is always a tuna on bagel. The tuna fish salad is fresh and tasty and not over-run with mayonnaise. This makes a huge difference, even if you like mayonnaise as much as me. You can really taste the tuna. To make it even better they give you a small portion of macaroni salad (or whatever you want) and some pickle. A perfect meal... Kudos to the team at Manhasset Bagels. read more

We order 4 breakfast items from here on Father's Day but they gave my order to someone else before I got there. The employees didn't tell me this until I had paid for the order and was waiting for 10 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes and multiple people coming in after me receiving their orders before me we decided to cancel the order. The employees never apologized and actually thought it was humorous. We received a refund with attitude and left. We gave the store another chance and ordered delivery from here last weekend and there was an eggshell in my omelet.... I'm very selective of how I want my bagels. I like them toasted with the butter melted and a small amount of grape jelly ... however Manhasset Bagels are so fresh they didn't need to be toasted , my bagel arrived warm with this sweet butter that you can still slightly see which I got upset about at first but when I bite into it , I was pleasantly surprised. The bagel was so fresh and soft and sweet I was blown away. Also our tea arrived still very hot which was impressive as well. The only bad thing is there delivery time , it took over an hour to receive. I would 100% order from them again in a heart beat . Definitely one of the freshest bagels I have gotten in a very long time . 2/25 - update : I ordered a egg sandwich and I was kinda disappointed I wasted egg and cheese on a bagel with bacon so we ordered 2 sandwiches , my mothers came out perfect and my sandwich had like bacon bits and it was falling apart . This is round 2 of deli reviews that I've consumed a ton of times, but have never actually stepped into said establishment (shout out to Harbor Deli). I'm not sure when or why, but we (co-workers and I) used to take out from that aforementioned quoted delicatessen whenever we were celebrating a birthday. This year, things have switched to Manhasset Bagels. I can't say I see (or taste) much of a difference, but consider that a positive as it's just as good. I'm a creature of habit and often if I find something I like, I stick with it (just ask the other deli we frequent: Orlando's). At Manhasset Bagels, our call-in order is basically one of two items for me. When we first started the switch, I would go with The Mikey L. This was a super tasty wrap of flavorful proportions. Grilled chicken with broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and oil. If you don't like rabe, then this isn't for you, but me and this veggie are like two peas in a pod (odd to use a vegetable to describe another vegetable). Just know the tastes balance out perfectly. More recently, the last four or five times now, I've moved away from Mikey L and have gotten to know Frankie Knuckles. It sounds like I'm hangin' out with some low level mobsters! But seriously, Frankie Knuckles is another quality wrap with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, tomato, fried onions, avocado, and italian dressing. Put avocado on anything and you've got a winner, but add fried onions (and these are some quality fried onions), and you'll fall in love with Frankie (from a sandwich standpoint). Honestly, Manhasset Bagels' quality comes close to five-star calibur. The problemo with the place is in the factors that lie outside its walls. What I mean is their delivery ain't the best. We have an early lunch period at work so I understand the timing might not always jive, but on more than one occasion, there have been a few snafus (i.e. arguments) about delivery times and not having drivers and not being able to guarantee when they'll come and so on and so forth and blah blah blah. It's a bit of a turn off when you don't know if your lunch is going to make it in time for lunch. Luckily, these issues don't happen every time, but it's something to seriously consider when ordering. Overall, Manhasset Bagels is a superb lunch spot in tastes (and I'm guessing their bagels might be good too?). We'll continue to order in from there as long as the delivery can hold up to it's slightly-above-par abilities. Maybe one day I'll enter through its doors and buy some grub in person which might up the celestial total, but until then, consider this a pretty solid four star situation. read more

This place is awesome!! We brought about 4 dozen bagels back from NY to San Diego to share with our neighbors and they were ready for our return. Also, we had Manhasset Bagels make a sandwich to take on the plane to eat on our trip home and everyone on the flight wanted that sandwich! The staff is polite, and they seem to know their customers very well. When I do get a breakfast sandwich I normally get turkey, egg and swiss on a roll with gravy so my first time here I wanted to see how theirs measured up to my usual spot. The roll was fresh, the eggs cooked perfectly but the gravy...the solidifier fell short for me. It wasn't as dark nor as rich in flavor and a tad bit too oniony. On top of that it was $2 more than my place. Rest assured I will be back because the bagels and cream cheese options looked out of this world which clearly by name is their specialty. Well, Another disaster after years of great service! Been going there for years, live in the area and it was always a very comfortable place with great bagels and service! So before I get started let just say, the young African American teenager who is taking the orders in this place is absolutely the star in this place!! He's is kind and understands customer service! Placed my order over the phone, got there and the order was 16 dollars.. I noticed the place was empty at 7:30am where it was normally packed under the old owners! Anyway, after being in the food business for 40 years,you tend to pick up on things, like their whole wheat bagels aren't whole wheat any longer, they are oat bran dough without the actual oat bran on the bagel!Its a great way to cut cost I guess?? Anyway, it's the only bagel I eat and it was horrible! But that wasn't the worse part, my order was 16 dollars, so I swiped my card, and then I noticed a muffin I thought my kid would like. After the woman who was taking care of me was done speaking to the other lone customer in the place, while taking care of me, told me that even though I just spent 16 dollars, buying the muffin was now a separate transaction and I should purchase the muffin with cash?, because I would need to spend at least 5 dollars to use my card again????? She obviously was off her meds, because when she told me that, instead of saying, ok, I can do it this one time, because we know your a regular, but moving forward, this is our policy, I would have gladly agreed!!! BUT, I took the muffin and gave it back to her, and wished her luck, because they will certainly need it!!
