Cute little mom and pop breakfast spot Was in town and ventured here two days in a row. Very crowded inside and seating is limited. The ordering process was easy and simple. The price was high but expected for the area. It took nearly 20 minutes to get our food the first day and almost 30 minutes the second day. So don't go there super hungry. I've been to the Sterling location several times in the service, while friendly is always a little spotty. I'm writing this review to say.Do not get the cream chipped, beef. It's not scratch made.It's from a can instead of a creamy white you have when you do, scratch-made it was beige and overly salty. Very prominent canned taste. I ordered bagels for an event. I called initially to see if I could pick up earlier than the 7 am opening on Saturday listed on the website. The service rep said yes and told me to order on line and she would adjust the time. Which I did. I then received a call from the rep saying she thought I said the order was for Saturday--but she noticed I had ordered, paid, and submitted on-line for Friday pick up! I was so happy and relieved that she caught my dumb mistake AND that she took the initiative to call me back and question the order. The order was perfect and ready early! all the bad reviews are because some people don't understand the value of fast paced food service. My first time trying this place out and I got the chelsea chicken on an asiago bagel and my jaw literally dropped when i ate it. sososo good. the workers were so kind and efficient, perfect for getting your breakfast quickly when you're running late. I came on a sunday morning and it was pretty busy but the staff was still able to come out and hand deliver my order instead of screaming the order out like some places do. overall, i really enjoyed this place and will be visiting more often read more

You are better off going to Tyson's Bagel Market. My wife and I were looking for a salmon lox bagel closer to us than Tysons and decided to give Manhattan a try. All I could taste was excessive salt. Beyond that everything was underwhelming. If you don't mind an extra 10 minute drive up Gallows Rd. Tyson's has better selection more turn over and they make their own bagels in shop. read more

The bagel itself was crispy yet chewy, but did not feel make me feel like I just downed a bunch of carbs. My hubby likes the steak, egg and cheese - simple and straight to the point. They have a good variety of bagel flavors and offer other sandwiches for lunch. They also have cream cheese tubs for purchase and offer drinks such as coffee, juices, and smoothies. So happy to have found this place. I've been going to the Dunkin Donuts next door for a while and never noticed this shop until it randomly caught my eye one morning. I'm obviously never going to DD again. They have freshly made bagels, which are great. They make breakfast sandwiches by order and it's worth the 10 minutes to wait for it. Tastes really good. So far, I've tried the Bacon/Egg/Cheese on a honey wheat everything bagel, as well as the Nova Lox on a multigrain bagel. Both were excellent. Their coffee is good, too. Manhattan bagel is amazing- and it's always busy, which should tell you something. These bad reviews I don't think are factoring what you are getting when you come here. It's good food done quickly. There's some tables to sit, but a lot of people grab and go. Honestly the whole menu is excellent. They've got drip coffee machines, but since I usually grab and go I get food from here, and my spouse will grab Dunkin' Donuts coffee from next door for us; a great combo (they're right next to each other). I've been going to manhattan bagel since I was a kid and I will be a customer for life. You can order online too if you don't want to wait as long. Staff works SO hard, tip them even if it's just a little. They really deserve it. read more

I don't like to write reviews.. as most of them are writer if your very happy or very upset at the establishment. Also an establishment is not absolved if they give money back. They still have a requirement to uphold a standard set by food regulators. I also work within the food industry. That being said.. Today the tomatoes on my lox were rotten and falling part. I took one bite of my sandwich, immediately the taste of fermented and moldy vegetable flooded my mouth. When I called the "owner" informed me that "they don't recommend the tomatoes in the lox" and that's why they were bad. When I went in to return the garbage he served me, the "owner" informed me that they had been cut 2 days ago but I'm the only one who complained. Tomatoes cut two days ago SHOULD NEVER BE SERVED TO A PERSON! The skin of a tomato doesn't peel off naturally. It has to have heat or be rotten. As I was walking out after talking with the "owner" two more ladies were on their way in to return because of food quality. I have gone to this locations many times. I order a nova lox with tomato. A lot of the time I have to go back to get my order fixed or to get fresh ingredients. Today the most disgusting thing occurred and I no longer will use this place as my bagel joint. The bagel was pretty small, I was expecting the bagel to be bigger since it seemed like the ones in the case were larger. It's $3.00 for a bagel with cc which is pretty standard and comparable to Dunkin' Donuts. The bagel was good I just think I had higher expectations due to the popularity in the area. I happened on this spot this morning and it was a good find. I immediately searched for the business on Yelp and I must say I was a bit worried since the reviews aren't so good. However, I'm into forming my own opinion so I popped in for carry out. They serve breakfast all day and have a decent menu for a bagel spot. They also serve lunch, a variety of coffee and even smoothies. I had bacon, ham, cheese and egg whites on a croissant. It was yummy and filling! The ham was a bit "porky" for me so I tossed it and went with the bacon, egg and cheese. I love that they did not skimp on the meat. See pics! Reasonably priced for the area. The staff was upbeat and friendly. The place is quaint and clean. Thought its not what I expected judging from the outside. Service was relatively quick seeing how breakfast is made to order and there were quite a few patrons. I went around 9am so quite the crowd.
