Service is fast and friendly, so the lines go pretty quickly and you receive your delicious, toasted breakfast with minimum wait time. One of my new favs is the jalapeño cheddar bagel with veggie schmear. That or novalox and capers on sesame bagel with plain schmear. My husband always goes for the bacon, egg and cheese everything bagel. Seating is just enough for the space but can seem crowded in the mornings. Wooden chairs surround plastic table tops with faux granite finish on tiled floor with beige walls--clean and adequate but not anything to write home about. Manhattan Bagel is a childhood favorite of mine from the town I grew up in in New Jersey. I never expected to find one nestled in the town of Vienna. I love Manhattan Bagel because the sandwiches and other breakfast food options are well priced, good portion sizes, and delicious. Plus, you can buy bagels by the dozen to take home. I will say, if you plan to go here on the weekend, definitely strategically plan your visit. There are always super long lines and wait times to order sandwiches and bagel orders. There is an extensive menu as well, so I feel like it helps going in knowing what you want. All in all, this is an amazing little breakfast spot with a super helpful and friendly staff! This is our go to place for bagels and bagel sandwiches. We have been going here for years. Years ago bagel shops were like gas stations, seemed like there was one on every other corner. But now, there are a few but not many. When we go in here in the morning, This place is always busy, hardly an empty seat in the place. The staff that works here. Many of them have worked here for years and are very professional, taking order and making your food without much chatter, always give you your food with a smile... One thing I love about this place... Being a "Manhattan" bagel shop, is the meat they offer... Something you cant get many places, something I love and I great up eating... Pork Roll... The bagel sandwich ingredients (deli meats, eggs, cheese, veggies) themselves are average, but thrown together in a sandwich, it just melts in your mouth. Get the zesty tomato spread on your regular bacon egg and cheese and get a muffin if you wanna treat yourself. If you're looking for something on the leaner side, their Thintastic bagels are still as good. It gets pretty crowded around 10:30/11 on weekend mornings, so come early for a variety of bagel flavors. In NYC or even Boston this wouldn't be a four-star bagel, but in comparison to the other options in the area, it's the standout by far. Service isn't always what you'd call 'super friendly', but I've never found it rude or noteworthy in a negative way. The bagels are the basis for my liking this place as much as I do; they are smaller and chewier than most of the others in the area, and they have a fantastic exterior that is just a touch crunchy. The selection of breakfast foods & the lack of temptation from doughnuts are initially what brought me here & keep me coming back. We went here to grab a quick breakfast for the road before we heading back on the road from our trip across the east coast. It didn't take long for our order to come up but unfortunately it took a few minutes for them to toast our bagels and smear some cream cheese on them, which should be pretty quick normally. This place is very ordinary. Not amazing and not awful. I've been here multiple times and my biggest issue is the wait on getting out orders. I get good food takes time but compared to other bagel places they take so long. So if you're trying to get to work or have anywhere to go then try another place or order ahead. This is my "go to" spot on the way to work. best bagels in the area and a good variety. i love the bacon egg and cheese on everything but for those watching your weight, try the cheddar turkey bacon thin. Let me tell you about this place...coming from long Island, bagel places and delis galore, to see a "Manhattan Bagel" while cruising around Vienna made me feel a little bit at home. Walking in and not surprised to see a long line, very pleased to see a wide variety of bagels gave me a glimmer of hope that Virginia may possibly have an awesome bagel place. I ordered a honey whole wheat everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, toasted of course and my husband ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. Sounds great right? So it took maybe 15-20 mins, and again not surprised being that there is a huge crowd waiting on their order.. we got home and excitedly opened our wrapped bagels only to unfortunately and disrespectfully see a mini sized, bagel bites like with a thin spread of cream cheese.
