Came here after looking for a quick breakfast before hitting the road after our vacation in Williamsburg. We ended up ordering the Avocado Veggie and the Sante Fe/Southwestern bagels. I ended up getting no tomato and cucumber on my veggie bagel and opted to add turkey bacon and it was delicious! The cashier at the front was really kind and patient with us while we browsed the menu since it was our first time trying this place. We also ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and it was delicious. The restaurant itself is kind of messy and feels dirty. We came right after breakfast rush so I'm sure they didn't have time to clean up much but most of the tables were sticky and had old food residue on them. We would definitely be back to try more of the items on the menu. read more

We've always loved coming here when we visit Williamsburg. They used to have a location in Chesterfield County, where we live, but it shut down years ago. The bagels are authentic. The flavors they offer are not found in any shops where we live, so it's always a treat for us to be able to get them when we are in the 'burg for the day or the weekend. That being said, our last few visits to Manhattan Bagel have been lackluster. On one trip, my wife and I got there early, got our food, sat down, and started eating, only to have two older gentlemen sit in the booth next to us and loudly bitch and whine about how we got "their spot." On our last visit, we got a bagel pack to take back to the condo, and the bagels tasted OK, but they were unusually soft inside. We weren't asked if we wanted them sliced either, so they weren't. The staff didn't seem like they were too thrilled to be there, so we understood why we weren't asked. We may return and give them another chance, but we may go to Panera. read more

Wowzers this place ROCKS! I had the original breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it was amazing. My wife had the toasted Asiago bagel with chive cream cheese and loved it as well. The coffee was not as good as I anticipated it to be. The wife and I each had different types and we both did not like it at all. Thus the 4 star review vs 5 star. Fix the coffee and I'm 5 star all the way! For now DD coffee stop before going to Manhattan Bagel. The service was impeccable and very quick. Ordered a Lox Bagel since im currently pregnant and craving it. Definitely miss the ones in New York. Currently vacationing at our timeshare and came upon this. Reviews didn't look too good but craving won over reviews. Upon taking a bite of my bagel all I tasted was SALT. The bagel was very tough as well as the inside. It did not taste fresh. The bagel was super salty ( everything bagel) and I had to scrape some of the outer seasoning off. The capers over powered the entire Lox Bagel and the cream cheese in the bagel was so thinly spread. They were very stingy with the cream cheese portion. The highlight of this was the potato salad that came in a tiny container. Definitely not worth the $9.×× . Will never return. Was looking for a change from fast food and decided to try this place out. Robust menu BUT at 9:30am on a Sunday they were almost completely out of stock on everything. Kinda pathetic to have a full menu but only being able to offer multigrain bagels. A long wait to get the bagel with smear ordered....I was given #21 and there were only 2 other people but they were calling #14 so it took 10 min to put some cream cheese on a bagel. Slow!!! My significant other and I checked out Manhattan Bagel on a recent trip to Williamsburg and we were pretty impressed! My significant other lived in New Jersey for a year, so he is a bagel connoisseur (at least, in his mind) and Ohio bagels just haven't come close. By his estimation, Manhattan Bagel does a pretty good job replicating New York/New Jersey bagels. He liked the Nova Lox on a Garlic Bagel, while I opted for an egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. We liked it so much that we went back for a second breakfast (our only repeat restaurant visit of the trip) and brought a dozen bagels home with us! The bagels were gone within 3 days of coming home, although we did also share with my mom and sister. Obviously their bagels were the big draw, but their coffee was also quite good. None of the ingredients were flavorful and they were very stingy with them. When you walk in, it's kind of like an old diner (maybe an old fast food place). This business was far from clean; Sticky floors, dead bug in the corner, and overall just dusty. First off, their everything bagel IS everything. I think it's the saltiness of it that makes it so different. But it's my fave. I wish they had more vegetarian friendly options (Sandwich wise). Every once a while they have an off day and today was it for us. Virtually no toast on the "toasted" bagel and the normally very generous cream cheese was hard to find. So disappointed. High employee turnover plagues this place and training notably inconsistent. We come less often these days as the bad experiences outweigh the goood. Updated 10/30/2018 - consistency is key. I can certainly recommend their salt bagels-untoasted-with cream cheese, lox, and capers. I've been here for that sandwich three times in the past two weeks. Breakfast served all day (breakfast and lunch). $7.75, includes potato salad or Cole slaw. read more

The bagels are wonderful. They have a few bagels that are difficult to get in Winter Garden/Orlando. It has been years since I have had a salt or pumpernickel bagel and they were delicious. I ordered the everything bagel with lox and it did not disappoint... although it could have had a little less cream cheese. My husband had the bacon, egg and cheese pumpernickel bagel breakfast sandwich. He loved it!!! The coffee was a big disappointment. I ordered a mocha latte and my husband an Americano. Both were extremely weak. We tossed them and used it as an excuse to stop by Duck Donuts for a real cup of coffee. I need to up the rating for this one as it has become a regular lunch spot for me. There are several sandwich options that I enjoy, and the preparation is consistent and ingredients fresh. The place is well managed and staff are always pleasant. I know I can be in and out quickly and have a solid meal, which is why I keep coming back. Our last day in Williamsburg and our friends took us here. While I'm bummed I wasn't introduced to this place earlier in my trip, my body is relieved. Pretty sure I could eat here for all three meals. For around $7 I received a big bagel with cream cheese, a huge helping of smoked salmon and capers. A side of delicious potato salad and a pickle. If you've been to a Bruegger's Bagels or Einstein Bros you can expect the same thing here at Manhattan Bagel. To give credit where credit's due, Manhattan Bagel uses better ingredients on their sandwiches. However, beyond that all three of these are about the same, which isn't a bad thing. If you've been in New York and New Jersey this chain should be no stranger to you. And if you're in Williamsburg you'll probably enjoy these bagels more then one of the dozens of waffle and pancake shops. This is a great place to grab a bagel in the morning (or even a bagel sandwich) and you can bet it's going to taste way better than what you'd find at nearby Dunkin Donuts. You can't go wrong if you're in search of a bagel. Like any bagel shop there's a large assortment of different bagels available. In fact, there's so many bagels here if you can't find something you're like you're too picky. We ordered bagels for breakfast and a bagel sandwich and also lunch sandwiches. Fortunately, they're not chincy when it comes to the amount of meat they put on a sandwich. And if you have a choice between here and Subway you better get your lunch here. Honey whole wheat everything bagel. It doesn't get much better than that. Well, add lox, cream cheese, onion and tomato and it's pretty darn perfect for this girl's palate. Manhattan Bagel was a grad school favorite of mine, so being back in Williamsburg this weekend meant I had to visit all my old stomping grounds. And I have yet to find a honey whole wheat everything bagel anywhere else, so I couldn't pass up the chance to get my fix. Yep, just as good as I remember it tasting. Manhattan Bagel never skimps on the cream cheese, which is mucho important to me. My favorite is the garden veggie, but you can't really go wrong with any of the cream cheese flavors when you're spreading them on that awesome bagel. MB's the perfect hangover cure, and an ideal setting for rehashing the previous evening's activities with friends. There's not much ambiance (it's a bagel place, after all!), but they offer plenty of seating for diners choosing to enjoy their bagels on the premises. Why does Williamsburg Manhattan Bagels charge for butter on a Bagel that has been purchased to eat in their store. We can see charging for Cream Cheese or a Price Add on a special topping, but for butter. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! It's the principle, not the extra price add or money charge. I've been here multiple times and everything is always really good. My favorite sandwiches are the ones with steak and cheese (especially on a nice buttery toasted croissant). The bagels and muffins are pretty good too. I'd recommend the asiago bagel (not sure if I spelled that correctly but it's the one with cheese on top) and the chocolate muffin. If you don't like cheese then I'd recommend an everything bagel. That's the one where they combine all the other bagels into one yummy super bagel. I have always been a huge fan of Manhattan Bagel. My negative review at this point in time acknowledges the difficulty in finding competent workers. However, the last two times I have ordered take out lunch I have been sorely disappointed at the lack of care with my order. The ordered Sides were not included and one of the bagel sandwiches was not well wrapped, fell apart in the bag leaving me to scrape tuna salad off the inside of the bag. Bagels were subpar and the place is clearly understaffed. I ordered a half dozen bagels with a tub of cream cheese for pickup, and when I got back home there wasn't any. I am currently on vacation, so I don't have cream cheese just laying around, and I was charged for it too.
