This is called sandys WAFFLES for a reason. This waffle absolutely hittttt. The dining area is almost like a buffet feel. The service was ok. Super polite but the time between check ins was a little long. The vibe is very old school / with new energy. Def recommend trying. Daughter smashed the steak and eggs and the morning potatoes were fireeee. I stole so many off her plate. The pancakes i was told, were delish. Sandys is a solid staple. We have come many times. This should be a 4.5 star rating if they could provide it. The staff is super friendly. Service today was slow but it was the Sunday Brunch rush. Food was great! We had the Hamburger Steak special, Steak Fajitas, Bourbon Street Omelette, and the Chocolate Chip pancakes. All delicious. read more

We had a nice breakfast: Sandy's Pancake & Waffle House Lightfoot. We ordered: Crepes with strawberries and bananas, the coconut pancakes (special), breakfast chimichangas, coffee, and hot chocolate. The coffee was good and had flavored creamers on the table to use. The mug was very small, but they left a pot on the table so we didn't have to wait for refills. The hot chocolate was pretty, having been served in a glass mug. The downside of that was that it was too hot to touch and the whipped cream melted very quickly, becoming a layer of oil on top of the drink. The crepes were good, as was the breakfast chimichanga. The coconut pancakes were just ok because they were regular pancakes topped with coconut flakes. They may have been better if coconut flakes were also inside the pancakes. The service and atmosphere were both nice. The lamps were fun and almost every table had a slightly different one. read more

Customer service was horrible. The table was not set with salt and pepper or silverware. Our breakfast plates arrived at the table and we sat for at least 10 minutes waiting for silverware. The food got cold quick. The biscuits and gravy special had link sausage as the sausage in the gravy which was unusual and unexpected. Will never be back again. $58 for 3 biscuits and gravy specials, a side with one egg and one side of bacon that has 3 slices. Save yourself disappointment and choose another place. read more

If you're into non ethnic Mexican meals then you will probably like the meals they have here as I ordered the Chicken Fajita and Hubs had the Chorizo fried Chimichanga. Plenty of food but no spice at all. The Fajita sizzled with juicy Chicken but the Chicken lacked flavor and the rice looked and tasted like your typical rice with a few chopped tomatoes in it. Again quite bland. There was a side of lettuce and tomatoes and a very small dollop of sour cream. Hmmm. Two tortillas were included but not enough for including plain lettuce and tomatoes but then why would I? I was full after eating the Chicken with onions in tortillas but maybe other appetites would not be. Hubs said his Chorizo Chimichanga was devoid of flavor so I took a bite and agreed. He made a spicy sauce out of the "catsup" that was supposed to be salsa served with his meal and that helped his meal. Overall I think this place is great for the surrounding area as there are plenty of people who seem to enjoy a spice level of 1 on a scale of 1 to 5. Also Sandy's does offer a frequent diner card so the more often you dine you may get a bonus though we were not informed what type. And it does serve generous portions. Likely will return! read more

My daughter and I came here because there were a lot of vehicles in the parking lot, so we thought it must be good. :) I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only did they serve US style breakfasts, they also served some with a Mexican flavor. My daughter got the banana pancakes, I got the chorizo with huevos, and we shared. OMG they were incredible! The waitress was just lovely and attentive. The whole place is pleasant and clean. This was my first time eating at this restaurant and was excited to try one of Williamsburg's pancake houses! Initial walk-in was nice and our server was very pleasant on such a quiet morning. However, food prep definitely needs some work. When our food arrived, there was a long, black hair stuck to the bottom of the plate under all of the food!! Also, the griddle used to make the pancakes needs to be cleaned between meals, as there were fried bits of food between the stacks of pancakes. Lastly, the amount of butter piled on top of the pancakes was ridiculous! We initially mistook the butter for whipped cream with the amount of butter there was for one single pancake. The food is great! Me and my wife Doordash from there often. My wife found on our last order that there was a hair in her food. While this is disgusting, I realize that things like this happen sometimes and we received a full refund for our meals from Doordash. We decided to try them again this morning and my wife forgot to add something to her order. She contacted the restaurant four times and was hung up on four times. I called a fifth time from my phone and the lady on the other end was very unprofessional. I had to ask if it was the right place because she didn't identify that. She took the order for the bacon and then promptly hung up without any curtesy. All of this combined has led me to this review. The food is great and for a great price. Me and my friends went here between classes today and it was pretty good! The food was good even though the wait was a little long. The only issue was that my cup and one of my friends cups were dirty and had stuff floating in our drinks went we first got them. Our waitress did replace the drinks but we still checked the cups and our plates when our food arrived. The prices were good for the quality of food and it was overall a positive experience. I normally do not complain about places, but this was the worst place for what my husband and I had. We had eggs Benedict and a Greek omelet. The waitress must of been new, and was not very attentive. The omelet was suppose to have feta cheese in the omelet but it was cut in chunks right out of the refrigerator and placed on top. To say the least the cheese was not melted inside the omelet. The Benedict poached eggs were like hard boiled, not soft and runny as should be. The home fries were under cooked with no color to them. This is a local breakfast spot that we tried on a whim. We arrived on a labor Monday at 10:17 a.m. The place seem packed and busy. We were promptly seated and our waitress arrived within 5 minutes. The waitress was pleasant and attentive as she took both our orders. The waitress swiftly returned with our drink order and it seemed like our food arrived right behind that. The quality and quantity of our food was pretty good for what we paid. I ordered the breakfast sampler which included: two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, a sausage link and patty, one slice of ham, and my choice of either home fries of grits. I choose the grits. I ate everything on my plate and was definitely satisfied. Minutes later the waitress arrived with our check and we were out the door by 10:45 a.m. All in all, pretty good visit at this restaurant. It's like they boiled the potatoes and left them in the water before putting on the hottop with seasoning to try and brown them.
