We had a nice breakfast: Sandy's Pancake & Waffle House Lightfoot. We ordered: Crepes with strawberries and bananas, the coconut pancakes (special), breakfast chimichangas, coffee, and hot chocolate. The coffee was good and had flavored creamers on the table to use. The mug was very small, but they left a pot on the table so we didn't have to wait for refills. The hot chocolate was pretty, having been served in a glass mug. The downside of that was that it was too hot to touch and the whipped cream melted very quickly, becoming a layer of oil on top of the drink. The crepes were good, as was the breakfast chimichanga. The coconut pancakes were just ok because they were regular pancakes topped with coconut flakes. They may have been better if coconut flakes were also inside the pancakes. The service and atmosphere were both nice. The lamps were fun and almost every table had a slightly different one.

Not really a stand out place, similar to a lot of other places I have been. Not bad, just ordinary.

Vacation trip to Williamsburg and Sandy's was an unexpected meal because of waiting times at other places. So glad we ended up at Sandy's.

In an area with pancake houses on every corner I would definitely come back here. Service Our server was very nice. We had to go up to the counter to get refills once but it wasn't that big of a deal. The food came out quick and our order was right. Ambiance It is a breakfast diner. Nothing special but nothing bad either. Summary If you are looking for a breakfast place it is a solid choice. I am not sure how it ranks amongst our other favorites in the area but it is in the top ones to consider.

Apple pie is a great twist very good as well, the added ice cream was just right & elevates the taste. Also had a side of Corned beef hash, it was not bad but a bit salty. Very busy location, nice & home like decor, our waitress was very nice & attentive. Prices are very reasonable, for sure I'd say some of the best pancakes I've ever had this was worth the visit.

Our server, Tess, was fantastic. My husband was craving a bagel breakfast sandwich (because he is enduring my keto diet) and they were one of the few places offering this. He got cream cheese on the side for the sandwich (if you haven't tried this, I highly recommend it). I ordered the meat omelette with Swiss cheese added and was offered fresh tomato slices in place of the carb options. We were both very full and happy with our meal. 2nd visit before leaving the area. We came earlier, closer to 8 & were seated immediately. I chose the meat omelette again (perfect choice for my keto diet). My husband tried the 2 French Toast, 2 eggs (added cheese) & 2 sausage. We were both very pleased. I felt so guilty not being able to finish it because it was really yummy. Our waitress today was also top notch. She didn't even write down our order, but it came out perfectly executed.

Let me start off by saying the service and ambiance were amazing. It was like a 90s retro dinner theme and we got our food hot in less than 10 minutes. We both ordered the Cinna-Swirl Pancake and when I sya it melts in your mouth i mean it. it also has a nice soft fluffy interior and a slightly crunchy crust outside. I never had a pancake like this, but it was wonderful. We also got the steak and cheese with fries. For a pancake place it was suprisingly really good, im not gonna say it was the best i ever had but it was definitely filling and tasty as well.

Let's see how the visit turned out. The diner was half packed but staff were busy. The decor was pretty cool and the restaurant was clean. Not bad at all. After we got seated, we were ready to order within minutes. Both of us ordered the country fried steak meal with hash browns and eggs (mine was scrambled and Sophia's was fried hard) along with coffee. It was delicious and filling. The gravy was just the right amount and the amount of food was just enough. It could've used some seasoning, but luckily we had salt and pepper at our table to add. Truly a meal to start our Friday. This spot will definitely be a repeat for us down the road. Till next time :)

The staff is consistently gracious and accommodating, which really sets them apart from other restaurants that seem to dread large parties. Even on a busy Friday night, we were seated in under thirty minutes. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and handled multiple tables with ease. He stayed on top of our orders and refills, and he took allergies seriously, checking with the kitchen to make sure certain dishes were safe. That level of care is always appreciated. As always, the food was excellent. I usually go for the crabcakes, but this time I tried the special, a crowned salmon, and it was so tasty. They truly do seafood well here, and the portions are always hearty. Every experience here is consistently great. We still had a 15 minute wait when we came in at 5:15 PM, but we were on the priority wait list ahead of time. Also, the parking situation is kind of crazy, but there is an overflow parking lot right next to food for thought. We got the pot roast with mashed potatoes and fries and The Thai one on which is basically pad Thai. The pot roast was very filling and flavorful. Mashed potatoes were amazing and had good salt to them and the string fries were really crispy and had the right amount of seasoning. I thought the Thai one on was not very good - it had too many vegetable and liquid and not enough noodles. I also thought it didn't match the flavor profile that I would expect from a Thai restaurant. It was more like something that you would get from an Americana restaurant. If you're looking for Pad Thai, don't get this. The ambience and decorations inside of the restaurant were really where this place shines. We loved the decorations inside and all the quotes as well as fun little touches like conversation starters and thought-provoking question cards on every table. I think the decorations would probably warrant a five or six stars out of five. Overall, worth a visit if you are in Williamsburg! (Corrections for typos)
