This is a great place to learn saber fencing. The coaches are very, very helpful, and I feel that my skills are rapidly improving.

At $250 a month for a single club access membership, it is simply not worth it anymore. The main issue is the deterioration of benefits without any change in the premium price point. Ever since Equinox decided to leave the partnership with Kiehl's and focus its expansion on the California network, the benefits of the gym have not improved; in fact, they've noticeably deteriorated. While the facility is still attractive, the value proposition has plummeted. I finally made the switch and decided to seek better value elsewhere. The high price no longer justifies the reduced perks and benefits offered at this location.

Personally, I don't care much for eucalyptus towels and I don't care much for the showers as I prefer to shower at home. They have 3 racks and tons of treadmills/ellipticals, etc. They have the basics to do a decent workout but they need some extra cable attachments and some additional benches imo. The overall layout of the gym didn't make much sense to me either. The racks are upstairs and the leg extension and hamstring curl machines are downstairs. I think the overall placement of the equipment can use some work.

Rich cares about seeing you do well and from my first session made me feel welcome. He has an easy going personality and cares abut his clients. He takes time to answer questions and genuinely wants you to succeed. As far as the workout goes, It's challenging. Lots of Sports athletic training drills mixed with some free weights and lots of gadgets LOL. Everything from medicine balls to ropes to TRX. There is definite variety and for the most part you wont get bored. (Except for lunges. I've never done so many lunges in my life lol) FYI: If you are expecting 1 on 1 personal training, this isn't it. While you will get 1 on 1 attention it isn't a private session. You are usually doing your own workout while others do their own workout. Usually the sessions are in small groups no bigger than 6. Rich acts more like a coach than a personal trainer. But trust me he's paying attention LOL The only drawback is that its very expensive to be a member. 130 a month for 3x a week is a lot. But to be fair the rates for places like this are about the same. This place is definitely worth checking out. It's a clean well-run facility managed and cared for by well-trained professionals.

The coaches/staff are wonderful considering I am not in shape and have to modify almost every single workout. They are able to scale the workout to my ability and still make me feel part of the group. Everyone is so helpful and super friendly. So glad to be a part of this gym.
