I had a great experience here. I walked in with my roommate and they where clearly very busy, but fit us in. I got a full set of acrylics and they look incredible! I have never been so obsessed with my nails. I just got a basic painting as well and for the first time ever my acrylics do not look fake. My nails look very real and aren't too thick. I am very happy we decided to try this place out and will definitely be going back. For my entire set plus a polish it was $52. My roommate just got an acrylic repaired and got hers thinned, along with a polish change. She also is in love with what they did to her nails and is looking forward to going back to them in the future. Her total for a repair and jell nail polish change was $45. Gel was still sticky at the end...took too long from a girl who said she has 7 years of experience. I know this place has a lot of negative reviews and a lot of people complain about the bad customer service but I really thing it all depends on who you see. I highly recommend Malena. Been seeing her for a while now and every time satisfied with her work! She's very sweet and nice and does a very good quality job. My gel polish manicure lasts me normally around 4 weeks. I do a deep French with a clear bottom so it's not noticeable when my nails grow long in 4 weeks. She recommended me using IBD brand they have cos she said it lasts the longest and its been working great for me. It may seem pricy I think I normally pay around 60-65$ for just my manicure but I don't mind paying more if it's a quality long lasting work. And I recommend making an appointment so u can see a certain person who does a great work then just chancing walk in and be swing by someone with a bad customer service skills. It's nothing to write home about, but they do a good job, have reasonable prices and the atmosphere is nicer then some of those lower end places. It's on the outer mid-level of the mall, just past the walkway to the Nordstrom wing. And their prices for pedicures range from $30 for the basic up to $45 for the deluxe. Not too shabby. read more

Went here with my mom as she wanted to treat me to something nice for my birthday! She got a pedicure and I got a manicure. The great thing about this place is that they accepted us at the same time as walk ins on a busy sunday! The price was right too. $21 for a mani and $32 for a pedi, and if you get them together its only $50, a little high, but thats pretty average and I'm very pleased with the job they did. One of the things I liked most was that there were no hidden charges that they tried to tack on. I wasn't pressured into getting a flower or jewels, I wasn't even asked, which I greatly appreciated since I'm a sucker for splurging. My nail lady was great! She did a quality job without making me feel like she had to be somewhere else doing somebody elses nails. My nails look so professinally done that even I'm impressed! Finally got to do a mani and pedi after stay at home regulations! Called and made an appointment, got there 15 minutes before as was told. Had to wait and didn't get a technician till after 30 minutes after appointed time. When checking in they ask to spray your hands with sanitizer then ask you to go and select your color. The nail samples are on a table - no wiping down between guests and technicians touching it. The chairs used for pedicures are not wiped down in between clients. The tables/ chairs used for manicures not wipes down in between clients. The technician did not wear gloves when doing nails. No plexiglass or any kind of barrier. They are spacing out clients and using masks but not really doing anything more that is expected now with COVID. They do not take temperature, ask if you are sick, have fever, etc. The young girl in the front is very unfriendly and not professional. Will not be returning here. read more

I got two pedi's here and one mani using calgel. It's nice inside and it's clean. One side there's the regular spa pedicure chairs and the other side the massage chair and a round foot sink. I tried both. The round foot sink is a little weird for me, you need to rest your feet on a board they put across the sink. it's a little awkward but I don't mind. The first pedi was done by a male who was a little harsh on my feet, it was uncomfortable. But I like coming here for their chemical peel because it's not like I have the softest feet :( The second time I went to Elina, she's awesome...if I could just rate her I'd give her 5 stars. She's probably the only reason why I would like to come back. I got a basic pedi w/a chemical peel and she did my calgel mani for the holidays. I went with gold. She's great, easy to talk to, great massage and takes her time. My feet are smooth :), my nails are really pretty and my toes look great. She also mentioned ways to keep my feet smooth and told me the truth on how long my pedi and mani should last. I'm going in about month again to get my brow/lip waxed by her. As for the price, this is why I knocked off one star...for the second time I went it cost me $113!!! YIKES!!! Usually I spend $60 the most. Sometimes $80...but over a $100, I was like that just did some damage to my wallet and I didn't even eat lunch yet :( starving I thought I better just go straight home and eat some saimin. It was nice to pamper myself before the year is over, so i'm not mad about it. I've gone here a few times, mostly because I had errands to do at the mall and the location was convenient. I'm pretty surprised by some of the negative reviews because I've been very happy with my experiences. I had a classic manicure with Alex, then a gel manicure with Sally the next week, and both were really good, much better than I've had at other salons. (I tend to go wherever I happen to be, so I've tried many places.) Both times I did a walk-in, and was luckily able to be seen right away. I went for a much needed pedicure the other day. I was greeted by a pleasant lady at the front desk. She told me to pick out a color. I was over there pondering the polish when another lady kind of lurked close by. I assumed she was my manicurist. I asked her what one of the polish looks like. She proceeded to polish one of my nails and not say a thing. Ok, well, at least I got to see it on. I was then led to a nice chair. She started working on me. I asked her a few questions about the pedicure and the manicure services they offer but she didn't speak English AT ALL. She spoke to the lady next to her in another language and the lady looked at me and spoke in broken English that I didn't understand. She started working on my feet. After a while the hostess from up front said that she was going to be switched out for someone else. A guy came over and took her place. I won't get into too many details but he was announcing to everyone that I wasn't taking care of my feet. Uh, very embarrassing and not true. A little too casual for a supposedly upscale spa. He was surprised to hear that I was kama'aina. Maybe they don't get too many in there. I was mentioning that my girlfriends go to a place in Aiea that is cheaper. I was then told that they pay 20k a month in rent and their prices needed to be higher. I can understand that but I didn't need a lecture about it. Bottom line: Convenient because it is at the mall but I think that I'll try out another joint that has better service and more reasonable prices. read more

Overall the nail salon was really nice. Plenty of stations for multiple services. My pedicure was great and the supplies and area was very clean. I was happy with service accept for the greeting at first. The receptionist was unfriendly and cold. Also gave me a death glare when I asked for cash change to tip for my pedicure. Maybe she was having a bad day but really turned me off a little. I was a walk-in and was accommodated which was great but it definitely came with some attitude. Vee did my nails a couple weeks ago and the whole time her mask was falling down and when I kindly asked her to pull it up she just looked at me then kept doing my nails. I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave but couldn't with my nails half done. I showed her a photo of the nails I wanted and she said she could do it .The shape wasn't like in the photo and when I asked if she could shave it down a little more, she said no this will look better. I have been to your place many times since 2018 and every time i am very satisfied, but this time Winnie's service is very mean. I care about my nails result a lot but she just gave me a bad service without caring cleaning the cuticle and shaping nice nail plate. She didn't even ask my opinion about what I want to do. But I was still polite to her and tipped good as a respect to her. She rushed the service and didn't wanna take time or show her caring. She let me leave without drying the topcoat and I even asked her to use the machine to dry one more minute. She just showed her poker face and an unprofessional service. She said no need. That's why the nails color chipped off after one week. I talked about that issues with her but she refused to fix it and didn't admit her unprofessional service. I came to this salon after a girls day of shopping at ala moana my friend and myself got really nice service the first time we went for a pedicure so I thought, why not go back and get a gel manicure. I arrived and was shown a seat almost immediately. At the beginning the woman who was doing my nails was nice but as time went on I started to feel judged. Which made me feel very uncomfortable. At what I thought was the end of the manicure the woman just packed her things, got up and walked away. She didn't tell me that I was finished or that she would be right back. Both my friend and myself were confused at what to do so we decided to go pay when the woman came back with a rag to wipe our arms, a full 5-10 min after she walked away. I thought rhat was very strange. She did a nice job, the polish has stayed on with no chips but the next day I noticed that my thumb was starting to swell. I believe the woman cut to much of my cuticle now it is infected. I won't be going back there again. read more

I've came here a couple times and I wasn't disappointed until the last time I came in. I got a gel manicure on my natural nails and within a couple days, the gel came off as a WHOLE. I lost a total of 4 nails within a little under a WEEK. I called and they said I couldn't come in and it's been over a week, there's nothing they can do. I tried calling again at around 4:30 and she offered for me to come in at 5 to get it checked out, but due to how far I live I couldn't make it. I told her how far I lived multiple times and she didn't even seem to care or to try and fit me in another time. Don't waste your money here, $42 + tip down the drain. read more

From my experience I don't see why this place has a low rating. I had a good experience. Sally did my manicure. She was professional and thorough. She did a great job. Everything looks clean. Looks like they stick to disposable nail files and buffing sponges. They take other steps at your chair, if getting a pedicure, to ensure a sanitary environment. The biggest downfall of this place is that they do not have restrooms inside. You have to go to the second floor to use the toilet. Very inconvenient. read more

I first visited earlier in 2017 to get a pedicure. The lady was pleasant and did a good job. The prices are a little expensive. The next time I went was in August 2017. I went with my boyfriend and we both got pedicures. They didn't sit us next to each other and there are seat open. My chair didn't work, so I requested to move and the chair I moved to didn't work either. The chairs beside me said "out of order". The lady never turned on the jets for my feet to soak. She also took the time to cure my nails twice each coat (which I've never had before). I'm writing this review since there seems to be mixed reviews for this nail establishment. I moved to this area recently and have been looking for a convenient place to go. i went to a place in Hawaii Kai a few weeks ago and was disgusted and won't go back. So I'm glad I tried this place. Mani Pedi Spa turned out to be better than I expected. I had the spa pedicure and regular manicure. Total cost was something like $65 before tip. I didn't have to wait since I got there shortly after they opened. After I got there, about 6 people came in for pedicures and they were able to handle them. I think one person had to wait a little. A few regulars came in while I was there which made me feel good that they have repeat, local customers. The technician I had (Lan) didn't speak much English so I was able to read my book during my pedicure. The tools she used were sanitized so that made me feel better. She did a a good job with my toes and fingers. I don't like going to places where I can't understand what the technicians are saying to each other, but I guess that can't be helped in the profession. Gf got a gel manicure and was not happy with the quality of the service she got. Her gels came off the next day. She called the manager Angie and she gave her an attitude and ranted when asked for a refund. She texted Angie a picture of the nails that fell off and they repeatedly told her no refund in broken English. Gf had to go to the store and when she confronted Angie, she was finally able to get a refund. The level of professionalism with Angie was not there when she argued back to an unhappy and dissatisfied customer. It would have been fine if Angie handled the manner in a professional manner. Even after the proof with the photos were shown, Angie continued to argue back to my Gf and make the situation worse. read more

I've been a regular customer here for about 3 years, until one incident. I called in and made an appointment in advance, and allotted 15 minutes to check-in. While casually waiting, another customer walks in and checks-in for a service scheduled at the same time, with the same person. I didn't think much of it. Then, it's 1pm and FINALLY! Joanne comes out after countless times of being notified by the receptionist of my presence!!! She greets this customer, and insists I wait 5 extra minutes as she attends to this lady's needs; a manicure/pedicure and a wax. The receptionist notices, apologies, and says... "I knocked on her door, but she's ignoring me." It wasn't even busy! 45 minutes of waiting that day. THAT day. Just THAT ONE DAY, sigh... She made me feel like an unvalued customer. Paid $58.65 for the worst pedicure I've received in my life ! Came here with my sister, she paid the same price, we were dissatisfied. Me and my sis gets pedicures every month or 2, we are well aware of how a pedicure should be done. Since we were @ Ala Moana, we decided to come and check this "MANI PEDI SPA" out. When we walked through the doors we requested 2 pedis, and got seated quickly. . . . Fast forward! Our techs didn't give us leg massages! No lotion, no salt scrubs, no nothing ! Basically soaked our feet, removed nail polish and rubbed oil on our leg and feet! I left here with my feet still oiled up, it was uncomfortable walking with oily feet ! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY COMING TO THIS PLACE. Bottom line they SUCK. And at the end when paying they demand getting a tip. No , not today!
