This is a cute little cafe with a beautiful view of planes parked & taking off on the runway. My boyfriend had the T6 breakfast & I had the hot link egg dish with our mimosa & apple juice, everything was delicious. The only complaint I have is that my tater tots were a little over cooked but other than that, our servers were pleasant & they were busting their booties to make sure every table was taken care of. Food was bland and the service was awful. The restaurant wasn't even that busy and it took approximately 1.5 hrs to get breakfast for 10 people. Our waiter apologized that the kitchen was short staffed, but everyone else who came in after us was getting their food. I think our order was possibly missed or wasn't given to the kitchen staff. When I asked if they could at least comp us one meal since everything was so bad, our waiter said no. We tried to be as understanding as possible, but anyone paying for food service would be equally frustrated. We've lived in this area our whole lives and never knew of the cute diner at the cable airport. I really looked forward to breakfast at this little diner. Dog friendly, view of the little airport, a view of the mountains, cute looking diner, and mostly decent reviews. It sounded fun, it sounded like it had potential. But despite decent service, we were sadly disappointed. Turns out it was a very lackluster breakfast. Mr. B loves corned beef. The corned beef was raved over by several reviewers. But both of us dislike canned, with one exception (Hereford). So, that is always a deciding factor for us. So, we asked the waitress, but she did not know if it was canned and assured us it was good. Yes, it turns out the corned beef was canned, neither homemade nor Hereford. So, big let down. The accompanying eggs were done to Mr. B's liking, but his hash browns were terrible. Anemic, limp, and bland. Not worthy of eating let alone looking at. My breakfast was simple. I had the 2 eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. The sausages (2) were plump and lovely. Good choice. My eggs, cooked over medium, were done right but I found them to be completely flavorless. Not sure what they were cooked in, but whatever it was, it had to be white flavorless fat. I always ask for the gravy on the side so I can relish my biscuits with some butter and jam or honey. The gravy goes to Mr. B. The biscuits looked homemade, but there was something missing there, too. They left a starchy taste in my mouth, maybe lacking salt ? It was even more disappointing when served with margarine (we had asked for butter). It seems that some restaurants/servers are confused. Margarine is margarine. Butter is butter. They do not taste the same. And if someone is asking for "butter", at least tell them you do not have any. The creamed gravy with chunks of sausage was also pretty dull, missing the glorious golden roux that makes a Southern country gravy with sausage so amazing. Just thickened cream, with no flavor. The sausage chunks did not redeem it. What happened? You will not find us here again. read more

New favorite breakfast spot I so wish they were open later to watch sunsets on their patio! Their pancakes are fantastic. The sides are definitely overpriced but I still pay for them. A side of fries or hash browns $5 I just love their atmosphere! Oh and their burgers.... DROOL WORTHY! read more

Unfotunate trip to Maniac Mikes Saturday, Jan 20. We were seated right away and got coffee and menus reasonably fast. After ordering it took 35 mins to get our food! When it finally arrived the potatoes were cold. Eggs were fine but nothing spectacular. Ham "steak" was a sandwich slice of ham. Overall very disappointed for the price and how long we had to wait. It was clearly a kitchen problem as the wait staff was standing around constantly waiting for food and apologizing to us and others. Disappointing as they do not allow dogs on their patio after being told they did allow dogs and food is very basic.

Went this morning to meet friends for breakfast. Seated immediately ordered coffee, which needed to be brewed (great for us...fresh coffee) and orange juice. Friends arrived who ordered decaf and we placed our breakfast orders. Decaf arrived tepid and tasted old. We caught the hostess after 20 mins of trying to get our server and requested fresh decaf. After another 15 minutes we told someone I assume was the manager who picked up the decaf and said they were 5 people short today (our fault?) as she went to get fresh coffee. She returned 10 or so minutes later with the cups a of decaf a pot of regular and attitude. We thanked her and she walked away as if she didn't want to be there (again, our fault?). There were approx. 12 tables total, 6 which were occupied. There were 3 servers, which, in my mind is 2 tables per server. We never saw our breakfast order come up in the window. An hour plus without the courtesy of checking on our coffee, waiting to replace old tepid decaf and no breakfast, we'd given Maniac Mike's way too much of our Sunday morning. After which we all agreed that we'd pay for the coffee and leave. There are 4 people who will not recommend Maniac Mike's for breakfast. We cannot comment on the breakfast since we get to try it. Been wanting to try this place for quite some time, but my visit was postponed when they had a fire. It's newly opened, and the layout is clean and modern. The food is decent, but wasn't served hot. Warm biscuits and gravy really misses the mark I had the meat lovers scramble which was a hearty portion, but thought it strange that the cheese on top wasn't melted. Another item served warm. Serv The service was friendly, but I probably won't return, because the noise level is intense. Seriously, it is at deafening levels and I suggest ear plugs, if you want any chance of enjoying your meal. I ran sound for many years, and this is almost at concert sound levels. The table we were sat at had dirty coffee cups that they didn't pick up until we mentioned it to them. Our waitress forgot some of our food items. Never came back to see if we needed anything. We had to flag her down. We asked for coffee but before she refilled our cups we seen her inside drinking her own coffee. My "go to" place. Everything on the menu is great. I have never had a bad experience yet and I don't think I ever will! I always leave with a full tummy, a smile on my face and in a fantastic mood! The wait staff is on point and very friendly. The location is fantastic, too! The place can get busy now and again, but I've never had to wait long. And, not only can you watch airport operations while you eat, you might spot a hot rod here and there. Sometimes I drive mine! I never have a problem trying to find a place to park. See you there!! Be very careful about asking for a refill for a soda or a tea I went there by myself for breakfast ordered a breakfast and had a couple refills of tea they charged me three times for a refill of tea I think 3:50 a shot plus my meal $25 to have breakfast then I left a $10 tip I will never go here again food's okay but not great read more

Went to try out Manic Mikes at Cable Airport as my wife and I had heard that their food was good. We checked in and were told that the wait was about an hour and we would be texted when our seat was available. Ok, we will just sit and watch the airplanes. There were several people who were also waiting to eat as well. Funny thing though, half of their patio was closed and there were open tables in the main dinning area. Okay, we will wait. An hour later were still not called and most other people had either been seated or left due to the wait. We inquired about our wait time and were told that we had been texted but did not respond. Now, we had NOT been texted at all! We were then told we would have to wait and they would TRY to get us in as soon as they can. After an hour wait, several open tables and half the patio closed, my wife and I chose to find another place to eat. This is just poor customer service and perhaps the food was indeed good, the customer service was terrible. Customer service is a very important part of the dining experience for us. We will not be returning to Manic Mikes as there are other restaurants that were the wait is shorter and the service is far better. read more
