It's like how many Finney's Crafthouse can Alex go to...lol... It's been a good amount that I've visited now. This location was a first for me. I was meeting up with some girlfriends for a late lunch which it also happened to be during happy hours from 3-5pm. Both menus, regular or HH are available if you wanted the full options. It's in the downtown location of Claremont, a cute and quaint area which I've never been to. Street parking is available with 2 hours which we found out later that there's a parking lot behind the restaurant. Which shares with the surrounding businesses. When we arrived, the hostess seated us at one of the long booth along the side right opposite to the bar. Restaurant itself isn't that big compared to the other locations I've visited. It's pretty small and seemed a little compacted. You have the big booth to one side, hi top tables right across from it and then the bar counter. Also tables along the sides and front. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but did picked up a lot during the visit. Everyone was coming for happy hour. HH menu consisted of appetizers starting at 7.00, 8.00, 9.00 and a combo which is a burger and drink or beer for 16.00. Also drinks specials starting at 6.00, 7.00, 8.00, and 9.00 based on what you want. From draft beer to house wine to cocktails. There was a good selection on HH drinks. Food, a pretty decent selection in each of the tier. We started off with a couple of dishes to share before the main. The pretzels which come with three dipping sauce, quite nice and came pipping hot. The deviled eggs, came 5 to order with a chunk of bacon. I haven't had them in a while and they were quite tasty. Easy bite size eats. Think their know for their coconut shrimp which was nice. 6 nice big pieces of shrimp deep fried to a nice golden brown and accompanied by the dipping sauce. Highly recommend it. Of course the mozzarella sticks, plain and simple but nice. 6 pieces and served with ranch and marinara sauce. The spicy tuna with crispy rice. This could be a hit or miss on how it was prepared but it was quite tasty and nice. 5 piece I believe and the rice had a nice crunch but still soft inside. I like it that way versus it being overcooked and crunchy. Lastly the pepperoni pizza. It was quite big and they also offered a hot honey drizzle if you would like it added. It could be a full meal with the size. Loads of pepperoni slices on-top of the thin crust. Starters were great, m entrees ordered but we were getting fuller already. A couple of the protein bowl, Asian ahi salad with mixed greens and the poke bowl. They were all pretty nice and weren't too heavy after the sides. Ahi salad had nice pieces for fish with, mandarin, carrots, peppers, onion, tofu, peas sprouts, cucumber with a ginger miso vinaigrette. It was quite delicious. A nice summer salad that's an easy eat. Of course the poke bowl, simple but delicious as well. Rice, avocado, cucumber, picked onions, edamame, furikake and spicy aioli. And the Mediterranean protein bowl, one with chicken added. Couscous, feta, cucumber, garbanzo, tzatziki, tomatoes and pickle onions. All were fresh and delicious and perfect for a nice summer meal. HH drinks, there was selection of items ordered. The old fashion, a raspberry splash and a couple of other items. Everything was nice and our server was a doll. Very sweet and friendly, didn't remember his name. Everyone that came out with food was sweet when delivering. All very friendly. The service was great and we had a nice meal. First time here. Came Saturday for lunch. Friendly staff, great environment, felt like a gastropub/sports bar. The cocktails were great. Wife had the margarita flight and enjoyed all flavors. I had the Finneys Cadillac and it was very refreshing. You can tell the drinks had fresh ingredients. Mozzarella sticks were not frozen. Breading gave a nice crunch though not a ton of flavor. The cheese was great, as was the marinara sauce. Wish the breading either was fried in a more flavorful oil or some seasoning would be added after the fry. Finney burger was good except temperature was missed. Asked for medium and there was no pink in the patty. The patty ended up being not juicy but still flavorful. A tad too much salt but still enjoyable. Tator tots are house made. Very reminiscent of home style potatoes. Not enough seasoning though. Tasted very fresh but not very flavorful. I'll try the fries next time. Mini lobster rolls were good. No notes on this one. Definitely recommend without hesitation. Overall, would recommend a visit. Hello, I wanted to share feedback about my recent visit. We ordered drinks and food, but only one order arrived at first. When we asked about the second order, we were told it was missed due to a misunderstanding. The second dish arrived about 10-15 minutes later, which disrupted our meal and timing. While I understand mistakes can happen, the handling of the situation did not feel attentive or well-managed. Came here on a weeknight to hang out with friends. The restaurant was busy even for a weeknight. Service was friendly. The food was good. I had the chicken lettuce wraps because I wasn't that hungry. My only point of contention is that the tablet thing that they have on every table makes it way too easy to accidentally get charged for a game. I had to have the server take the game off of our check because I accidentally clicked on the game before realizing that it wasn't free. I did not proceed to play the game, and it still ended up on our check. So, if you have kids, and you don't want to get charged, don't let them have access to those tablet things on the tables. read more

I came after work on a Friday night in hopes of a Happy Hour, and boy, did they deliver. Parking is not too shabby, especially on a weekend night. Downtown Claremont is pretty difficult to find parking at, especially on the weekends. Be especially mindful of the two hours signs, in case you get a parking ticket. We had two servers at Finney's and both gals were phenomenal. They were both consistently checking in on us. The happy hour here starts from 3 and ends at 6 PM. I drank some IPAs which were $6 each per happy hour. I also ordered a spicy tuna crispy rice which was fantastic! The rice itself was very chewy and crispy at the same time. Not bad for being $9 a plate, and it had about 5 pieces. Although I haven't tried their other food, I believe this place isn't too bad. Came in for a happy hour after work on a Friday. We got a table quickly which was nice. Had a blonde for $6 and a chicken and waffles from the HH menu. Everyone's food in our group was pretty tasty. For ambiance the Tables are pretty close to each other that you could hear conversations near each other but that didn't bother us much. Came here to watch the Dodgers/Angels game and started with a beer at the bar before sitting down for dinner. The Mediterranean bowl with chicken was SO good, and the fried pickles were also really tasty. For the most part, the staff was attentive and friendly. We specifically came to watch the game though, and were disappointed that only 3 TVs out of probably 12 were showing it. I asked if one of the TVs facing our table could be changed, and the response that was meant to be funny came across more rude than playful. This was my first trip to Finney's but it won't be the last. The Finney's burger completely blew away In-and-Out's so that's that. Byebye In-and-Out. Really liked the Brussels Sprouts. The Philly Cheesesteak appetizers were terrific, too. Fine service and excellent beer offerings complete the picture. Issues? Well, it's way too noisy and I don't like shouting across the table. There's bizarre deep banquets on one side that a server can't really access. And to top things off, the ketchup has HFCS which is a complete show-stopper in my book (ok...this is a minor issue, in reality). My husband and I came here for lunch today for the first time and the food and staff were good. We shared the buffalo cauliflower fried appetizer, which we really liked, then I had the mahi mahi tacos and he had the chicken wings and a side salad. Everything was good. Tried Finney's for the first time tonight (a Monday) after trying probably 6 times prior to come (each time before they were packed full to the gills or had a 45 min - 1 hr wait). The atmosphere is awesome beer pub sports bar with probably the most taps I've seen anywhere outside of maybe Yard House in Rancho or Brea. Very kid friendly - changing tables in both bathrooms. The food was fantastic - I ordered the Yuzu Buffalo wings and my wife got a burger. My only negative on this place is that the service tended to trail off towards the end of our meal and the waiter brought me the incorrect drink twice. So many "happy hour deals" aren't really deals, however they have $7, $8, and $9 options to choose from with real food options, not just cheese sticks. We ordered two of every thing and added another round of shrimp and chicken and waffles because they were our favs. Everything was hot and fresh and the happy hour cocktails were good as well. We're on a mission to try every restaurant on the Claremont list, and Finney's Crafthouse earned a top spot on our little foodie quest. Friday night vibes, it was a full-on happening spot! The wait was about an hour for a group of six, which felt surprisingly painless since we parked ourselves at the bar and kept the conversation flowing like the drinks. Many TVs throughout the place and a big drink selection. The hour gave me time to watch all the passing plates which smelled so good. It was a real sensory flirtation anytime someone's plate rolled by I got FOMO in the most delicious way. The hour flew by as we finally sank into a comfy large booth. We kicked things off with two taquito appetizers. They arrived in a rainbow of colors and flavors and they came out fast, super snackable! The meat was a touch soggy for my taste, but I'd order them again in a heartbeat for the flavor. I went with the chicken and waffles, which arrived looking very dark. The syrup wasn't your classic sweet. It tasted bold definitely a syrup adventure I could not quite figure out the ingredients. Everyone else's plates looked incredible the pizza, the burger, the mahi tacos all plated looking delicious. We visited Finney's on a Sunday around noon for our first time, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the experience was outstanding. The team had a table ready with a high chair waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch since we were dining with our two kids. They also gave the kids coloring menus, which kept them entertained throughout the meal. The food was fantastic. We ordered a cucumber drink, lettuce chicken wraps, avocado rolls, garlic wings, the Finney Burger, and the kids sliders. Every single item was delicious, and our kids loved their meal. The service was just as impressive. Our water glasses were never empty, and everyone was attentive without being overbearing. We also loved the view overlooking the farmers market, and the craft beer selection looked incredible. A special thank you to our waitress and, I believe, the manager. I travel for work quite a bit, and since I was staying nearby, I decided to return to Finney's Crafthouse. I'd eaten here before when the place was much busier, and despite the crowd, the service was actually pretty good. So I figured, "Why not?" This visit turned into an unexpected social experiment: How long can a customer sit in plain sight before becoming invisible? The hostess was friendly and seated me immediately. The restaurant wasn't very busy--most people were wrapping up their meals and heading out. I sat down, opened my menu to the exact meal I wanted, and settled in to watch the baseball game. Five minutes passed. Then ten. Then fifteen. Then twenty. Servers walked by. The hostess walked by. Someone who appeared to be the manager walked by. Apparently I had mastered the art of camouflage because not one person stopped to offer a drink, take an order, or even say, "We'll be right with you." At the 30-minute mark, I decided my audition for "Restaurant Furniture" had gone on long enough. During that time, the table in front of me finished their meal, was cleaned, seated with a new family, and the new guests had already placed their order. I was beginning to wonder if I needed to submit a formal application before someone would acknowledge my existence. I returned my menu to the hostess and mentioned that I'd been sitting for 30 minutes without anyone taking my order. The response was a very casual, unapologetic, "Sorry about that," before she went right back to her conversation with a waiter. No attempt to fix it. No explanation. No offer to seat me with a server. Nothing. Maybe dining alone makes you easier to overlook. Maybe a table for one isn't worth the effort because the tip won't be as big. I don't know. What I do know is that after 30 minutes without so much as a glass of water, I took my appetite somewhere that actually noticed I was there. Firstly, the vibes? Immaculate. The inside is so cozy with huge ceiling fans and giant windows that open horizontally to the outside. Making it feel like a patio, it was a lovely day and those open windows were just comfy maxxing. The deviled egg appetizer was AMAZING. The candied bacon garnish was everything. I wasn't even bothered by the splash of hot sauce, it was just subtle enough not to overpower the delicate flavor of the eggs. I got the Turkey Burger with Tzatziki which was delightful but kinda small. I also got a side salad. Shout out to the server who as soon as she set it down, quickly realized she gave me the wrong dressing and promptly replaced it. The salad was simple. Just spring greens and cherry tomatoes. It was bright and fresh and tasty with the perfect amount of dressing, but I would have appreciated a third element. Perhaps some Thin cucumber slices, some grated carrot, or some croutons (though I have a complicated relationship with croutons.) My husband is a simple man, when he sees a Blue cheese burger, he orders it! This day it was to his detriment that he did not read the full description on the menu. The Bacon Blue cheese burger came with a really spicy sauce/slaw situation. Not what he was expecting and way too spicy for him. He could barely eat half of it. It didn't feel right to complain, but it speaks to a different issue I have with these bougie downtown eateries; Everything is Spicy On almost every dish there is some creative spice element, wasabi aoli, firecracker sauce, candied or pickled jalapeño. This trend irritates me. And that's me being in my 40s eating in a college town, I'm the old out of touch one, I get it. But it's my review, so here we are. Another critique is we are at IPA critical mass, and this goes more for the local breweries. I hate IPAs. HATE THEM and it seems 60-70% of what restaurants today carry is IPAs. And IF they even have a Hefeweizen (my favorite) it's an orange IPA or has raspberry flavors. I don't want fruit in my beer. Why is this happening. Anyway, rant over. For $16 it's pretty ridiculously small. It's basically the same amount as the side salad which was $5 On the plus side, the wings, side salad and fries were good and a decent size serving. Update: the manager reached out to me quickly. My response : I appreciate the gesture Clair. I wrote the review in hopes that quality control will be better. I know that your location is new and has been quite busy, therefore there are growing pains. But I felt bringing this up now will lead to better training and oversight. I was in town for the holidays and walked in with a group of 7, adding our name to the waitlist. We were seated in under an hour, which was impressive given how busy it was that night. We ordered a wide variety of food and drinks, and everything was delicious. The food included bacon deviled eggs, carnitas nachos, Gary's pepperoni pizza, bone-in and boneless hot wings, fries, an ahi poke bowl, a bison burger, a prosciutto arugula pizza on a gluten-free crust, an A5 Wagyu burger, and truffle fries. For drinks, we tried the Pranqster, Finney's Hazy, an espresso martini, and a raspberry smash. Everything was delicious and I loved the variety on the menu! Prices were very reasonable, and the service was super friendly. Our table also had a payment device that allows you to pay directly at the table and even split the bill by individual items, which is a really convenient feature (even though I didn't use it). Arrival Time: 6:15 PM on January 23rd, 2026 We used the Yelp waitlist feature and were able to park and walk right in. Big plus. Location: Nicely located in Downtown Claremont, close to the Metrolink Train Station. The restaurant is well organized, does not feel overcrowded, and yet still accommodates a large number of guests comfortably. We were seated at a tall tabletop, which was very comfortable and well stocked with condiments. They also use tabletop payment tablets, similar to Chili's and other chain restaurants, which made checkout quick and easy. The menu is extensive, with plenty of appetizers, entrées, and a wide selection of beer, cocktails, and nonalcoholic drinks. Below is what we ordered, rated from 1 to 5, based on taste and overall experience, along with recommendations. Appetizers Crispy Brussels (no bacon add-on) They looked great when served, and we had high hopes for the tamarind ponzu. Unfortunately, the ponzu made the Brussels feel soggy. They appeared crispy but did not deliver on texture. Recommendation: Ditch the ponzu or use it sparingly. Consider a fig glaze or a ponzu balsamic glaze instead. Do not drown them in liquid. Rating: 3/5 Steak Taquitos Delicious. We wanted more and would have ordered another round if we did not have more food coming. The meat was flavorful, the toppings were complementary, and both sauces were amazing. Order these. Recommendation: Increase the portion size. Rating: 5/5 Entrées Southwest Chicken Bowl The description made this sound like a healthy, standout bowl, but it left a lot to be desired. The chicken was cubed, which felt underwhelming for a restaurant entrée. The rice was fine, but nothing special. All the components were there, but it lacked something to tie it together. Recommendation: Use cilantro lime rice instead of plain white rice. Add pinto beans. Do not cube the chicken. Sliced chicken would feel more substantial and worth the price. Consider adding a salsa on the side. Rating: 4/5 Bison Burger (Medium Rare) This burger was phenomenal. I was initially concerned the bison might be gamey, but it was not at all. It was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in my mouth. The only downside is that it does not come with a side, which must be ordered separately. That said, there are plenty of side options. We ordered the burger with the large truffle fries, which leads to the next item. Recommendation: The burger itself needs no changes. Rating: 5/5 Truffle Fries I did not think it was possible to have too much truffle and cheese, but here we are. These fries were heavily coated with both. If you like your truffle fries drowning in cheese and truffle, you will love them. For us, it was overwhelming and ended up tasting overly salty. Recommendation: Dial it back just a bit on the cheese and truffle. There was more than enough. Rating: 4/5 Dessert We did not order dessert, so we cannot rate it. Final Thoughts: Service was excellent and very attentive. Plates were cleared quickly, and there were plenty of staff members checking on guests. Despite it being a packed house, food and drinks came out quickly. We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. read more

The food is very tasty and delicious. The service very attentive, amicable, knowledgeable. The ambiance. Just perfect. Loved it.

The variety of food is really good from the pizza to the burgers. One of the favorite things here is that they actually have pale ale on draft. In the world of IPAs finding a good pale is hard to do. Staff and service are exceptional. Located in the old 'Press' in Claremont the place is warm and welcoming. Food and drink are quite good.. particularly like the selection of appetizers. Went to watch the Mexico vs. Korea tonight and had Alex M. As our waiter and he was amazing and so on top of it. It was so busy but our refills were on point and our food came out hot. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend coming here . read more
