I have mixed feelings about AYCE Filipino food bc, in my opinion, every dish needs rice; meaning, I fill up quickly and don't get to enjoy much of the options. That being said, this place is decent for the $20/person price. I did expect a few more options but the selection was not bad. I know Cebuchon (Cebu style lechon) is supposed to be famous but I didn't think it was much better than other lechon I've had. I did love their fried fish! Most other dishes I couldn't tell you what they're called (as there were no signs or labels). They also had bilobilo which is such a delicious dessert. It actually wasn't too sweet so we could've enjoyed it while eating the main dishes. I was also disappointed that there was no lumpia. Maybe it's a Hawaii thing BUT all Filipino gatherings typically have lumpia so an AYCE without lumpia is not the best for me. We came here after a long day at the Canyon, really craving a good Filipino buffet. We initially considered Nanay's (which had a lower rating), but decided to try this place instead because of the higher reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. Here's why this ended up being a one-star experience for us: They call themselves "Manila BBQ," but there was no barbecue available. They also advertise as a seafood grill, yet there were no seafood options during our visit. There's a $4 upcharge for lechon belly, but no other pork dishes were offered--no pork adobo, no lechon kawali. If you're charging extra for a premium item, there should at least be other standard pork options included. So instead of 20 dollars it was was $24 per person.  Drinks are not included in the $24 price. Overall, the food quality was mediocre and didn't justify the cost. There's an automatic service charge of 18% for a party of plus an additional 3% credit card fee. We don't mind paying more for good food and a satisfying experience, but this just didn't deliver. Misleading name / false advertising: there was no seafood available and no BBQ there. What doesn't have satay at a Filipino buffet?! Charged: $24.99 + soda for a buffet on a weekday early afternoon, and was not given a receipt even though requested for one on the touchpad. Food quality: Mediocre-Disappointing. The cashier spoke to me in Tagalog - I grew up eating Filipino food so I am fully aware what dishes should taste and look like. I was not impressed with the pancit -- no veggies, no meat, no Chinese sausage, JUST mixture of different texture of noodles. Think cheaped out on ingredients. Spam was not Spam but a low quality dupe. Egg rolls were not put out until a larger group of people arrived after me. Dinguguan was ok. It's basically a paired down selection of what you would expect to find when buying a plate lunch-to-go -- not a buffet style. The cashier had asked me if the selection of food was ok -- 1st time there so how could I know otherwise. I've had better tasting (and better looking) dish offerings at Filipino stores that have a small cafeteria in the back of the store. Recommendation: Go elsewhere. Not worth it. I came here with family and it was our first time. We came and it seemed like we were the first customers for the day because they were still bringing out the food. We pretty much took half of the restaurant space because there were 15 of us. This place is an AYCE, but you can't waste food because they charge an extra $10. Came here because I was craving Filipino food. I was so excited to eat here! Upon walking in, the place seemed clean but ambiance wasn't really anything to gawk at. Just a place to sit and eat. The service was ok. They were good about keeping our water pitcher full. Not really a need for service as the food was buffet style. The food itself was good. Nothing to write home about but it answered my cravings for the most part. I wish the Kare Kare had more actual meat and less tripe in it for its protein. The diniguan was bery vinegary and all the meat pieces were extra fatty but not bad over rice. None of the dishes really stood out to me but like I said it answered cravings. Some foods weren't ready yet. We did not see any seafood boil during our time there as advertised on their post. The foods did not taste freshly prepared... I actually thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast here. They didn't have a crazy amount of food but the spread that they did have, everything was classic and just what I was hoping for. We had eggs, tocino, adobo, sinigang, pancit, longanisa hammonado, corned beef, fried rice w shrimp, etc. everything was so good. There was nothing crazy about the buffet. You simply prepaid for your meal and went ahead and helped yourself. The cooks and the ladies that I saw who were helping to maintain freshness and cleanliness as far as the food and everything, they were also friendly. They would check on his periodically to make sure we didn't need anything. They cleared our dishes very quickly. We didn't have to bust a single tray or a dish while we were there. The eggs were cooked so wonderfully, just running enough. They were not sitting or floating in hot water or oil like I've seen at other places. I would definitely come back here again. I do admit, we left our hotel fairly early, so I really have no idea how out of the way this place is from our hotel but even if the drive were a bit longer, I think this is somewhere that I would really try to come back to and enjoy it again. It was that good. If you know me, you know how much I enjoy food and eating and everything, but for me a lot of times Filipino food is just too greasy and too fatty. Or staying for the buffet. All you can eat. Roughly 16 items to choose from. Lady said that some of the choices do change from time to time. But main staples are here. Eating at least 1.5 plates of food will pay for the cost of the buffet. So come hungry. There was pictures of street foods and instructions on how to order. But no signs of anything of the sort. Place isn't very big. Roughly 20+ chairs but I must say it's double the size of a similar restaurant down on boulder highway. I saw a review of someone saying that the lumipa was soggy. The thing with lumipa. It's like French fries. The longer it sits. Eventually it will get soggy. That's a given and common sense in my book. But My suggestion to that is either ask if they have fresh lumpia coming or wait till others grab it and hold off till a new set comes out. Grab in small portions. It's easier to finish and your food won't get as cold quickly. It also gives you the opportunity to try everything. That's another thing. Always try everything at buffets in small portions. It gives you an idea of what's good and what you don't like. Overall my Filipino self is pleased. Will I give it a high rating because I'm Filipino. No. But at the end of the day I must broadcast my thoughts. So it boils down to this. I know Filipinos in general can be picky sometimes. Sooo. If you love cheap buffets and want to get the belly full. Then come here. And satisfy the craving. If you are expecting buffets like you see on the strip with a very big selection. Another issue was the pricing. There were no prices posted at the counter. Instagram listed the buffet at $17.99, while other platforms showed $19.99. However, our bill came to $31.50 per person. We only drank water, paid in cash, and the only service provided was a pitcher of water on the table. I'm not sure what additional charges were added--possibly gratuity--but nothing was explained. Decided to try something new today. The food was good, decent but the food was not as hot as expected it to be especially when you have food with sabaw. Everything was just warm unless it was the plain rice in the rice cooker or an entree that was just cooked and brought out. Maybe they make it hotter as the day goes, but when we ate in the morning, it wasn't hot. That's the down side. Another thing, there was a small bug/fly in my sinigang. She served what I needed and answered my questions, but she wasn't smiling. Perhaps, a more friendlier approach or vibe would have set the tone since I've never been there. Overall: 3.7/5 (dine in) Manila BBQ & Seafood Grill looks like a family owned business. They have a section where you can choose which skewers you like then they will cook it for you. If you don't want skewers, they have a regular menu as well. The lady who helped us was really nice, and the food came out pretty fast. PSD Big Assorted Kakanin ($10.50): There are 4 rows of different desserts which were all good and not too sweet. BBQ Combo ($7.99): They have a variety of combo plates that you can choose from. We got the BBQ pork combo plate which comes with 1 BBQ pork skewer, 3 tiny lumpias, and pancit noodles. It looks exactly like the picture so you know what you're getting. This plate was good and better than the chicken inasal for me. The pork was tender, the lumpia was very crispy + tasty, and the pancit noodle was surprisingly soft. Recommend getting this plate if you come here. Chicken Inasal Special Promo ($4.49): This is like the Filipino version of Vietnamese ga roti. My husband loved it. I didn't get to taste the skin but just the chicken meat which I thought was okay but it's also probably because I didn't dip it in the sauce. We came here on a Monday (President's Day) almost 12pm. We were greeted and then given food trays and instructions on the buffet. Payment is due prior to eating. There was fried rice and also steamed rice. Their food heating system and heat lamps are useless - the food is not hot, not even barely warm. Nothing extraordinary with taste and flavor, they were okay - most of them were oily. Dessert was Ginataang bilo-bilo. The turon was brought out a bit late. I tried it and it was oily and seemed like the oil used was already previously used to cook other dishes, and the banana was hard - I could not eat it.
