The Arroyo Crossing location is our usual spot, and we pretty much always grab the same favorites: Spam musubi, Korean chicken plate, chili, saimin, and a few desserts! Everything is always fast, fresh, and onolicious! Since opening their other locations, thankfully they don't have the excessive lines or long waits they once did, which we definitely appreciate! I grew up in Hawaii and going to Zippy's was like a staple to my childhood, like McDonalds is to my kids. So when I had the chance to visit one in Las Vegas, I was excited. This place did not disappoint. The food was good, the service was great! I could not help but smile as I ate my lunch. My kids (who are normally a little picky) loved it as well. We've been to Hawaii many times but never had Zippy's there. We were thrilled that Las Vegas has Zippy's now. Despite putting my name on the wait list I still had to wait 20 min just for a staff to check us in. I think there were extremely short staffed. Once we were seated the server was attentive and the food came out really fast. The restaurant was very clean modern and spacious. We enjoyed the famous chili and we got it over loco moco, the oxtail soup was good and the fried chicken and chicken katsu were all on point too. We got spam musubi takeout for our road trip back to LA as well as the chocolate cake, both were yummy. The takeout took a long time too. I guess it's on Island Time even in Las Vegas. read more

We came for dinner at around 6:30 pm on 7/25. Our server, David, was nice but not attentive. It took a while to get our drinks (it was around 115 degrees outside) and when we got them they were never refilled. The sauce on my Korean fried chicken, my usual when we go, was overly spicy and had maybe half the flavor it normally does. My wife's chicken Katsu had several undercooked pieces, and when she couldn't flag David down she went to the front counter which finally got his attention. He apologized and brought out a fresh plate, but only gave us 15% off for the inconvenience. Keep in mind my wife was sharing that chicken with our toddler; they both could have gotten very sick. My wife couldn't eat after that, so we flagged David down again for to go containers, again for the check, and one final time for him to pick up the check and our card. My wife was at her limit so she went to the car but I went back inside and got the manager, who was very apologetic and comped the chicken Katsu. Arrived for a late breakfast early lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately. They offer both tables or booth seating. Our server was amazing. She was very friendly and definitely showed us the Aloha spirit. She checked in with us several times to ensure we were happy with our food and service. The Haupia cake was very light and ono. My teriyaki steak was cooked perfectly. The macaroni salad reminded me of Hawaii. Service and food here is very consistent and never disappoints. You really must give Zippys a try. This hit the spot for some great Hawaiian grub! I love coming to Zippy's in Hawaii. I'm so happy there's a location not too far from me. I ordered on the app for us to pick it up and eat there at their tables. All of the tables were clean. The service is always very friendly and they have a nice aloha spirit. The dessert case always looks so delicious but they do sell out quick of their popular desserts. We ordered the KFC and chili combo and the teriyaki beef plate. Everything was yummy! There's plenty of parking and the space inside is quite large with lots of seating. It would definitely be good for accommodating big groups. The place is bright, open, and clean. From the entrance, the dining area is on the right side, and I believe the left side is for takeout orders. I already browsed ahead of time to decide what to order and went with the fried chicken. The portion was huge! It is definitely more than enough for one person, and in hindsight, we probably should have shared since everyone in our group (including kids) ordered their own dish. As for the taste, it was a bit underwhelming for me. Even the macaroni salad felt pretty plain. I'm not sure if my expectations were too high going in, but I felt like the food could have used more seasoning. That said, everyone else in my group seemed to enjoy their meals. As a family with younger kids, waiting for a table isn't always realistic, so doing this turned out to be a great option. Ordering through the app was easy and convenient, and our food came out hot and ready without a long wait -- exactly what parents need when kids are already hungry. We decided to try dining in at this Zippy's location since we had a great experience at their Henderson location. The dining room was not too busy around 5:30pm, and the interior was bright and clean. Our server was very friendly but seemed very overworked. There seemed to be only two servers for the whole dining room. As a result, items were forgotten and drinks were not proactively refilled. She never asked for our Zippy's rewards information, and after we reminded her she said she would "try" to get the manager to add the points (which never happened). The food was very good! I had the chili moco which is quite hearty and features two eggs and two beef patties over rice and covered with chili. It also features a side of macaroni salad. Very tasty and very filling! I can never finish all the rice. We got the "complete meal" option which adds a soup or salad, a Hawaiian roll, a soft drink, and a dessert for about $11 additional. The salad was crisp and fresh, but I wish they had more dressing options than creamy Asian and ranch. The roll was a classic King's Hawaiian sweet roll. I wish my visit was better. I was so excited to have Zippys outside of Hawaii and especially in Vegas. Upon pulling up, I noticed how large the location was. There was a bakery, in house dining, take out, seating to eat for take out, and locked bins for online ordering. I ordered at the take out station and waited for food. Food took 45 minutes to come out for 3 items even though there were only a few tables and no other takeout orders. I got the Korean fried chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked well, crispy, and flavorful. My friend had a chicken katsu which came out over cooked - luckily, staff was able to remake it which was a lot better. It was my first time here. I came with family and met up with an aunt & uncle who are "regulars" and they recommended this place. We were a party of 14 and they originally said that it'll be a 45 minute wait, but they were able to seat us within 10 minutes! I actually felt an Hawaiian welcome from the staff based off of their chill demeanor and friendliness. The ambiance was clean and the place had tons of seating available. Tried Zippy's for breakfast and ordered the Korean fried chicken plate with Portuguese sausage. The chicken was really flavorful with a sweet soy marinade, and the sausage was solid too. They had run out of fried rice by noon, which was a little disappointing since that's what I originally wanted. But they made up for it with the portion of white rice. At most other places you just get a small scoop, but here the entire plate was covered in rice. Definitely not leaving hungry. I also got an apple napple, which was airy, flaky, and crisp. My meal hit the spot when I was craving local food on the 9th island. I walked in not realizing that it was closing in less than an hour. Tita asked if I was okay with sitting at the counter. It was just me, so I said "Of course". The decor of the restaurant was very aloha. I love the mural which is visible from the street. I ordered the Portuguese bean soup to start off. This Zippy's location offers some of the best hospitality even when they're extremely busy. We've been here several times and the service has been so welcoming and kind. The building is very spacious and it offers a ton of indoor dining so the waits not usually too bad. Their menu offers a variety of Hawaiian comfort foods, freshly baked goods, and daily specials. We tend to order the same meals but I decided to try something different this time around. My husband got the Zip Pac Deluxe which comes with a little bit of everything. I got the Pancake combo with Portuguese sausage and a side of the chili (no beans) with grilled cornbread. The food took quite a while to come out but it was freshly prepared and steaming hot. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the Portuguese sausage was cooked perfectly, and the chili was very flavorful. The grilled cornbread was okay but a bit dry. My husband loved his meal but we both agreed that there wasn't much beef or Portuguese sausage. I was really hopeful for this Zippy's as I have heard good things about the restaurant in Hawaii. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was surprisingly slow with only about 5-6 people in the restaurant area and 2-3 waiting for pickups. The menu had a decent amount of choices with a variety of sides, entrees and desserts. I went with the surf pac and the loco moco for my entrees. The surf pac was good but not great. The rice was well seasoned but chicken had a tough outer texture on the skin and the beef was not very flavorful. I haven't been to a Zippy's in years, so I was so happy when I looked up their locations and saw two in Nevada! Since I arrived so early into town, I decided to take the drive out here since I needed to eat. This stand alone location has a large parking lot, and upon walking in, take out is to your left, dine-in to your right. Initially, I was going to get this to go, but since it's been so long, I decided to stay in. Place was relatively empty but they seemed to have put most customers at tables on the same side. Service was great; friendly and attentive, almost felt as though I was back in Hawaii. Although I like a lot of things, I went with the chicken katsu with two scoops rice, one scoop macaroni salad, and my favorite beverage, their lilikoi drink. Although I enjoy the tangy katsu sauce that comes with it, I didn't finish even half the chicken, but I wiped out the sides, and the drink was as wonderful as I remember so long ago. Ended up returning the next day just for their seasonal corn chowder soup (they have clam chowder on alternating days) to go, and this was delicious. I remember I was excited when I first learned Zippy's , an iconic restaurant chain in Hawaii, was coming to Las Vegas, the "9th Island". That was awhile ago because there are now 3 locations in Vegas, with a 4th opening late January 2026! None are particularly close to the Strip; they seemed to be geared more towards locals. I made plans to stop by Zippy's after arriving at the airport, before going to my hotel. The Arroyo Crossing location is slightly closer to the airport than the one on S. Eastern Ave. I got their app, joined their rewards program, and ordered on the app. I arrived at 8:30 am on a Sunday. I was expecting the restaurant to be busier, but I guess folks like to sleep in here. The dining room was pretty empty but was filling up after I left. There's a separate to-go and pick-up area on the opposite side; I received a text that my order was ready and was in a particular food locker, which you open via a link. I made a quick visit to the men's room; I was surprised it wasn't larger for such a large restaurant. I took my food to my hotel, checked-in early, then started my feast. I was specifically interested in having their Korean Fried Chicken and their chili spaghetti. For some reason, the chili spaghetti was removed from the regular menu, but was a special for January. It's still on the keiki menu. By the way, the chili spaghetti is also no longer on the menu at Market Street Cafe at the Cal Hotel. I ended up ordering the Korean fried chicken and chili plate (comes with rice and mac salad), and the spaghetti with meat sauce, NOT chili (comes with garlic bread), so I could compare chili vs meat sauce. I also got some of their sweet treats: an ensemada and a slice of haupia cake. The Korean fried chicken was disappointing. This chicken is ubiquitous now with every place doing their own take. I think Korean fried chicken should be crispy with a glaze that should definitely have some sweetness along with salty/spicy. I remember most fondly the chicken I had at The Alley Restaurant at The Aiea Bowl on Oahu, a popular restaurant/bowling alley. Zippy's chicken was hard, probably not freshly fried. I did not detect any sauce or any sweetness or any flavour of any kind. The chili, which I ordered without beans, was fine, as was the mac salad. The chile was very similar to the meat sauce on the spaghetti, just a bit spicier, while the meat sauce was slightly sweeter with more tomato flavour. I may not be able to tell the difference in a blind taste test. The garlic bread was good. The sweets also were just okay. The haupia cake slice was small with minimal coconut and flavour. I'd never had an ensemada before--it was described as a roll topped with sugar and butter. It was similar to a pineapple bun, a sweet Cantonese roll, but not as good. Despite these disappointments, I haven't given up on Zippy's. Should I return, I would probably try eating in, I'd give the Korean chicken another try, and I'd try some other sweets. read more

And never having tried their food before, the multiple locations in the Vegas Valley have given me a few reasons to come down and give it a try. With this, I decided to stop by the Arroyo Crossing location on a Monday afternoon around 12:30PM. Walking into this location, I was met with the large bakery that had selections of locals pastries. And turning to my right was the dining room that had a few parties eating in. After waiting at the host stand for about 5 minutes or so I was seated with my party. Looking at the Zippy's menu, there were plenty of options ranging from the classic noodle dishes and the Zippy's famous chili to some plate lunches, burgers, and fried chicken. With many enticing choices, I wish I could have tried more! But to get the best of as many worlds as I could in my single visit, I decided to order the recommended Chicken Trio which was $17.99 at the time of this review. After waiting a little while, I was very pleased seeing the Chicken Trio hit the table. Made up of the Zippy's Fried Chicken, Chicken Katsu, and Korean Fried Chicken, each piece of chicken looked ever-so-crispy. And with this dish, i received one chicken thigh, about 5-6 pieces of katsu, and about 5-6 pieces of the Korean fried chicken. Plated with the chicken were two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. For $18 in the Vegas Valley, it was very easy to say that the portion size was justified for the price being paid. And even if you would prefer to pay less, there were still plenty of options on the menu between $10-15. Zippy's might seem like a big, chain Hawaiian spot compared to some of the other mom and pop spots. But don't underestimate Zippy's food as everything on the plate was perfect. Beginning with the fried chicken, the batter was oh so savory and oh so crispy. Without any sweetness, the flavor really focused on the chicken and gave a loud crunch every time I took a bite. The chicken katsu was similar with the thicker skin. But with a more moist chicken, each piece was very filling. And for the Korean fried chicken last, the chicken was sweeter and had a light sweet sauce drizzled on the top. Eating with the onions made the Korean chicken taste tangy, and surprisingly citrusy. And if each piece of chicken wasn't enough, the macaroni salad was very milky and creamy. With soft elbow pasta pieces, the macaroni salad almost acted like a sauce to the rest of the chicken. I can't say I've ever had food like the ones at Zippy's. And with this being my first time here, I wish there were more around the country. With such unique and delicious kinds of chicken, a warm and welcoming restaurant, and personalized service, Zippy's definitely deserves a solid 5 stars. This is probably some of the best Hawaiian locals food I've ever had. Don't sleep on this place and give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

It was busy when me and my family went. We didn't know that you could join the waitlist online. Will have to do that next time! Jenny and Kayana were holding the fort all on their own and did it with a smile on their face. Even though they were extremely busy, they were fast, friendly and quick. They also memorized our order without writing it down. I also saw Kayana lifting two large barrels of ice to refill the station. There should be an ice maker in their area to help with efficiency and so they don't have to check and refill ice every so often. Helps with the customer experience and the employees back. Soon after we ordered our food, it arrived fresh and it was delicious! Never tried the saimin here and it was great! Our go-to is always the chili with rice with spam musubi and this time was no different. We also topped the meal off with Dobash cake with vanilla ice cream. Our first time trying out Zippy's and also dining in! It's a homey diner vibes with Hawaiian comfort foods that started out our Vegas trip in the best way. The chicken trio was everything I would've wanted to try off of their menu, and they have it combined all on one plate. It was very delicious and satisfying with the different textures and the salty, sweet, and tangy flavors to try out. My bf and I shared the chicken trio and ordered the Saimin noodles mostly for the broth and it really didn't disappoint- the perfect light, clean umami broth with veggies and tender char siu. The cherry on top was also our nice and attentive server who helped out our group of 6 perfectly, being that it was all of our first time there. A trip to Vegas isn't complete without a trip to Zippy's, at least for my family. And we went twice! As for what I ate, I got the Korean fried chicken breakfast the first time. The chicken was very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I paired it with Portuguese sausage, which had a good salty snap. And a Hawaiian-style breakfast isn't complete without rice and eggs. It was a very heavy breakfast, but nostalgic and delicious. I decided to go for something sweet the second time we went. So I got the French toast, which came with your choice of eggs and meat. I had to get Portuguese sausage again, which its saltiness balanced the sweet toast. The French toast itself was eggy and soft. We got a mochizada to go, and it was okay. It was large and very sweet, but I wish it had more chewiness from the mochi. Perhaps it would be better warmed up, but we got it to go before flying out. Service was really friendly. The both times we went, we were greeted warmly and were checked on. The vibe is clearly Hawaiian - soft pastel colors and Hawaiian music fill the space. That plus the food coma made me really sleepy lol! Who knew Las Vegas would become an extension of Hawaii? Not me, but I'm happy it is. It's nice to know I can classic Hawaiian meals within the continent. read more

I love Zippy's and it's such a fun name. Comfort food is always good for the soul and whenever I come here I end up feeling better. The fried chicken dishes are great, the sides are filling and tasty, and the corn bread with chili is one of my favorite items. Sometimes I even grab some to go for the next day. Employees are smiling and friendly, and the restaurant is very sunny and clean. Try to leave some room for one of their sweet treats because they are all so good. read more

I love coming to Zippy's whenever I'm craving Hawaiian food -- it's one of my go-to spots. But there was one visit where things didn't go as expected. I ordered the chicken, and it came out raw. The nice lady helping me was really understanding and immediately replaced it, but the second one came out burnt on the outside and still raw on the inside. She offered to bring out a third one and even discounted my bill, which I truly appreciated. Despite that experience, I still love coming here because the people are genuinely kind and take care of their customers. Mistakes happen, but great service always brings me back. I've tried a bunch of dishes here -- Korean garlic chicken, fried chicken, loco moco, Portuguese sausage, corned beef hash, dry saimin, and more. Almost everything was delicious! The Sept monthly special was a pretty good deal! $9.99 Korean fried chicken and chili. The popular dish Zip Pac was $15.70. And Ube Ensmada $3.30. We got take out. Staff are super friendly. For those with allergy issues, they have documents to go through and figure out what you can eat. Better quality than many other Hawaiian restaurants in the area. read more
