In all honesty, this is the closest supermarket near me and I have only been in it once. I don't find it inviting in the least. I don't find good deals in here. And I rarely see a smiling face. Overall, that one visit has turned me off on the whole chain. Which is a pity since I see there are several others nearby. If I am in a bind, I will probably see myself back here, but it's not an absolute must that I need to be here.

This Giant Food has a quite a variety of various types of food products. During my two visits, I was able to find everything that I needed (and a few things that I did not need). Also, and probably most important for me, the produce and meat sections were very clean (yes, I've repeated myself) with fresh products. I thought the prices were pretty on par with other grocery stores in the area. Actually, the prices might be a bit better because the quality of food is a bit superior to other supermarkets in the area. Also, this supermarket is quite large, which is important to me because I hate feeling claustrophobic in a store. The location is quite convenient because it located in a shopping center that has a Target, Kohls, Petsmart, and a few other businesses.

I love this place, cheaper than whole foods and pretty close to being as good. They have a huge Starbucks with seating and eating area. A hot food bar, soup station, pizza area (not sure if they heat pizza up) sushi, sandwiches, salads, and so much more. Did I mention this place is GIGANTIC? It also has a lovely pharmacy and four aisles of health/organic/specialty foods.

I don't know exactly when it happened, but they got rid of self-checkout at this location. And apparently that's the case for all of them now! It seems to not matter what time or what day I come, the lines are always long and don't move very quickly. There are one or two items that I get here that I can't find other places, but I find myself coming less and less since they are not a necessity. I have to set aside time just to be mindful of the long line wait. I'm not sure why they took the self-check out away, but I do hope it's something that they reinstate some time in the future. Almost every other grocery store I know as them and it makes life so much easier. At the very least, have more than two registers open at once.

Lidl was a chain started in Germany originally and then expanded all across Europe and now in 31 countries. You will find things here you wont find elsewhere and if you like European goods, you will definitely find some treasures here. But, also, they carry Greek, Spanish, French, Portuguese and other ex US products here which makes it fun to shop here and uncover new treasures! This store has limited edition section and it was fun to browse that as they have some European items that looked quite interesting, most Greek & French products. I took a look around their frozen section and even saw they had some frozen escargot (snails), which was super interesting for me to see! I didnt get any this time around, but may get some when I am back home. They also have lot of fresh flowers and plants for sale here and lovely to see these options for sale! My only gripe about this place is that everytime you come into the store, the fresh produce section always looks like a disaster and the floors super dirty. I wish they would clean this area up a bit better and make it more visually appealing. How hard is it to remove some empty boxes, mop the floors regularly and arrange the produce in an orderly manner? Id definitely come back again and always there is something interesting to discover.

This whole process took longer than if I would have done myself. When I was leaving I asked why he checked my items at self check and was told he was trying to move the line. There was no line before I got there or when I left. Customer service was very disappointing. I worked@grocery stores for 20 years and understand how they work and that was just rude.

The cashier was very friendly. With the high cost of groceries these days, this place was a welcome relief from the typical grocery store. I had just been to Aldi and got cherry tomatoes for 3.49. They were on sale here for 1.99! I will be coming back.

The store carries everything you'd need for a regular grocery run. Keep checking their weekly ads as some great deals are to be had almost every week. The produce is fresh and on point, the employees look like they enjoy working there, and the shelves are abundantly stocked with staff replenishing in every aisle. You can also return Amazon stuff here and they reward you with a coupon.

The whole place is a wreck. We can't buy frozen goods at this store because they have, obviously, been thawed and refrozen. Ice cream bars are just puddles. I hate to think about frozen fish or meat. The fish department is rancid. Smells like dirty underwear. Just a really icky place all around. Avoid at ALL COSTS.

Once inside, it feels just like you came into the store from outside, but it felt so odd to have a grocery store as an anchor store for a mall. Nothing wrong with it, just my first time seeing this. I honestly do not remember why I came in here. And if you do come here and want to hit the mall, make sure that Giant is your last stop before leaving. I mean, you don't want your perishables to go bad by the time you finish with the rest of the mall. I'm still not sure which is the best grocery store in this area. I mean, this feels familiar in name, coming from an area where Giant Eagle is big. But a partial name is all they really share. The deals aren't always the greatest, but they do have a loyalty card. I see that you can use that a nearby gas stations for fuel discounts. In the search for my grocery store, this will not be it.
