no outdoor sitting!!!! they do have a patio but they did not set it up like how they have it on the pictures. Called ahead of time to ask if they have pork sisig and the guy that answered the phone says "whats sisig? we don't have?" so instead we ordered something else.. then when i got there to get our food.... right front center on their menu... sisig!!!! I am a proud Pinoy who will always support local businesses that showcase our culture through delicious food. However, I am deeply disappointed in the customer service I received at Manila Sunset in Rancho Cucamonga when I placed a phone order for Pancit Malabon. The one on the phone told me that we can just come in to order rather than make a phone order. Just in case, she asked me to leave a name, which I did. Literally 6 minutes later, I walked in and she said the kitchen was closed. Highly unprofessional and dishonest. Our phone exchange was completely disregarded. Please ensure that you are honest with your customers moving forward. I will be patronizing other Pinoy businesses in the area instead. Thankfully, there are other options. read more

I ordered and paid for several items 5 days in advance and on day of pick up I received a call that one of my order has been sold out. Even if I complain in store, there's nothing that can be done and the attitude I felt when I brought this up to the cashier is not very friendly at all. They should review their customer service and the commitment that goes with it. Paying customers deserves better. read more

Owners are rude! Came all the way out here which was a far drive and had to use the restroom (pregnant)...and under NO circumstance would they let me use their restroom. She also got my order wrong and we had to wait longer... and she blamed us the customer for getting the order wrong. Just rude, had to go next door, because they said no to using their restroom and told me to go to the Mexican food restaurant on the end who thankfully let me use the restroom. I also let them know I'm high risk pregnancy and can't hold my bladder as it makes me go into preterm labor. Food was subpar. Nothing to really rant and rave about. This place is one of my go to Filipino Restaurants when I'm in the Ontario-Rancho area. They have all day breakfast that comes with egg, soup and rice (~$10) and they also have an a la carte menu, but it doesn't come with rice. The service is good and the place is always clean! The food reminds me of home back in the Philippines and I also love how they place the breakfast items on banana leaves. They keep the condiments (soy sauce, vinegar, lemon and utensils on the very side of the restaurant next to the counter where you pick up the food. Pricing is good! The closest comfort food place next to Manila to get my fix. I've been going in this place for years and the food is always very good and satisfying. Food is great. It can get busy at times and sometimes you feel like the staff is snarky. Still, they get things done at a pace quickly enough to attend to other customers. My family and I usually go to their West Covina branch but since I was craving filipino food, this location was closer. I got their crispy pork sisig ($9.95) and 2 bbq chicken skewer for $1.85 each. There was no rice with the sisig so I bought a side of garlic rice ($2.50). They had bits of chopped bell pepper, green onions, and liver in the sisig which is standard in sisig but I'm not a fan of the texture so I didn't finish the liver parts. The sisig plate was a good size for the price; their bbq chicken and garlic rice tasted great as well. Next to Popeyes. $10 min to use card. They have 5star rewards. I do not recommend Kare Kare - it's water down and bland. I can hardly taste the peanut butter, if they put any. Less veggies too, only sitaw and a few stalks of bokchoy, no eggplant. Not worth your $16 for this bland, small serving. Good luck trying their other dishes but this is definitely not their specialty. I don't mind driving to West Covina for a better Filipino food. read more

Manila Sunset is an example for other chains and privately owned franchises to look up to. The food is consistently tasty and the service reliably fantastic at just about any location, but the residents of Rancho Cucamonga have it exceptionally well. Items I constantly find myself coming back to are the vegetable lumpia, pusit, pork adobo, and the wonderfully springy and subtly sweet bibingka. This location does a lot of phone orders and on event days and holidays you'll likely see customers hauling away trays of freshly made pinoy food. If you ever go in and get less than courteous customer service, play the lotto, because it's a rare day indeed. read more

My husband and I was there early this past Sunday. They were not actually open until 11:00am, but they had a reservation for a party at 9am as the owner explained. There were about 50 Harley bikers. The Harley's were pretty cool. I've never seen so many Harley's in one place before. The owner was so nice and accommodated us for our breakfast meal. I ordered Tocino and Egg with garlic fried rice and my husband ordered Pork Barbecue on sticks with garlic fried rice. When I say garlic fried rice, I mean they did not hold back on that garlic. It was the best! The Tocino was tender and chopped, so that it was easy to eat. The pork bbq tasted so good. It was not your regular pork bbq stick that you would normally get at other Filipino restaurant , which is put as much cheap meat as you can on the stick, smothered it on banana catsup, and serve it medium rare, so that you can't eat it anyway. Or...like those Filipino restaurants that dumps your food in one plate like your a cow to feed and can't eat your food because the whole plate is on lard. We had their Bibingka which is their best seller, and I really believe why. It's a melt in your mouth dessert heaven. The owner gave us complimentary coffee, which they were serving for the party. I don't normally do a review, but the employees and owner's customer service , the great food, the price (we spent total of $18 w/tax), the cleanliness of the place, deserves five stars. We're back! We missed this place. On our way to Laughlin. A great chance to stop at Manila Sunset! The food is just so good. We had bangus, sisig, dinuguan, crispy pata, fresh lumpia, lechon kawali, kare-kare and pancit malabon. I brought my friends and family. They all liked the big portions, flavor and super low price. My wife went to this place a few months ago and ordered sinugba na bangus and specifically told them that we don't want it overcooked. Lo and Behold, when she got home and open the food container, the bangus was mostly BURNT! How can they NOT follow specific instructions? They were asked that the food not be overcooked yet they gave us exactly the opposite! So disappointed, wish I can give the place half a star. read more
