The Mac salad was ok. Kinda heavy on the onion flavor for my liking though. I also ordered the spam musubi. The rice to spam ratio was good. I thought the sauce was ok. I came to the plaza here the other day originally wanting tacos but I saw big island bbq and definitely decided to get Hawaiian bbq instead. I would say the food is delicious and portioned generously, even for to-go orders. I got the katsu mini plate. The macaroni salad that came with it was really good and the katsu was very crunchy. Unfortunately it does not come with veggies, so I had to ask for it as a side and paid extra. It was pretty busy for dinner time. The cashier that took my order was really nice and when my food was ready, she brought it right to me. I could tell that there were some regulars too as she was talking to some customers as if she knew them. The inside was clean and there is enough seating for eating in but I decided to take my food to-go. Overall, this place I would come back to eat Hawaiian bqq any day. read more

Last Monday, we came here for brunch. This is a small restaurant with simple décor and limited seating. We ordered Crispy Shrimp Mini Meal and BBQ Chicken Mini Meal. Although everything is freshly made to order, the service was fast and we received our food within 10 minutes. The food was so good! I am a big fan of this mom and pop hidden around the gas station place. They give pretty generous portions and their food is cooked well. Chicken isnt dry and their bbq has pretty good flavor. I also got a side of spam musubi ($6.25). The wait time was not long and they had a good amount of seating. The portions were a good size and the katsu was crispy and not too thin. The bbq chicken was moist and not too salty. The macaroni salad was not too heavy on the mayo. The spam musubi was fine, not heavy on the rice and the spam was thickly sliced. They have a stamp card. Loco Moco is good for mainland action. Meat is typical burger meat but sort of the quarter pound size so generous in consideration.

We frequent the Del Taco in the same plaza and stumbled upon this place! I love Hawaiian BBQ and always like to try different spots. Everything was good! Great place to satisfy your Hawaiian BBQ cravings! The food was delicious and the service was friendly as well. I got the BBQ mix combo and pretty much inhaled it. The portion is huge enough for two people to share or give yourself 2-3 meals. The BBQ chicken was juicy, the beef was well cooked and the ribs were just fantastic. Food was pretty standard, nothing too wowing. Katsu was nice and crispy. Bbq beef was thinly sliced - slightly dry, but it's still pretty good when it's dipped in the sauce. The Mac salad could use a little bit more flavor in my opinion, but it's not bad. We were there to dine-in between lunch and dinner times so there wasn't a lot of people. Found a great little local style restaurant in Ontario, a great alternative to L&L or Ono Hawaiian! The way the businesses are set up, you might not see them right away... but just head to da left of the da Chevron, they next to Starbucks. Between my dad and I, we had the crispy shrimp, kalbi (short rib), kalua pork and BBQ chicken combos, and everything was good. Plenty of rice, the shrimp was fried just right (most places the shrimp can get really chewy or tough when biting into). The kalbi was tender enough to slice up with a plastic knife where some places you have to do that "sawing action" and risk slicing into the foam container! The kalua was moist and not overly smoky or salty, just the way I like em! And of course, can't go wrong with the BBQ chicken, flavorful and moist, marinated just right where not too sweet or all dat. They serve plenty of rice, and the Mac salad was decent for takeout (I'm tough on Mac salads cuz I make em perfect at home ). Service was awesome, friendly staff and wasn't too busy when I went... I hope this changes and they get more folks dining with em! I've been coming here for a few months getting the same meal every time. They have a stamp card they stamp every time I come. The employee tells me today that he can't stamp the card because it's for the mini meal, but I've never bought a mini meal. I told him they must have grabbed the wrong card. He didn't care.
