Definitely 5 stars. From the fast moving line (especially in the morning), to the helpful man who served me my 3 dozen donuts, to the EXTRA big donuts he threw in for free...I was so grateful! I will definitely be back again, if only to be greeted with a friendly smile by the donut server. Really though, bright and early in the morning, and a happy experience at the donut shop? That's worth 6 stars. Their donuts are yummy, very filling, and they have multiple coffee pots available with varied flavors and decaf options too. Oops! I ate all of the donuts. They were sooooo delicious, I just didn't give myself enough time for a photo op! (Too busy scarfing!) Had a big craving for donuts. I rarely indulge but I just HAD to have one, or two...ok, three!! Ordered a big cinnamon roll, glazed old fashioned and French cruller, and each was sugary deliciousness! The cruller was super thin and hollow, so if you want a heartier donut, go for the cinnamon roll, a fluffy swirl of cinnamon sweetness. Or, try an old fashion - perfectly firm on the outside and soft inside! The lady was so nice; she threw in a huge apple filled donut that must have weighed a pound!! How nice was that?!! Okay, so I ended giving that one to a friend! (mucho donuts!) I definitely will return to Manley's for the cinnamon roll alone- yummmmm!! Each donut cost $1.50 and was worth every penny!! Oh, I tried this place. Right on the same strip as my Barber's and Bibo's and the Beezies (and Brodies) that do yoga at the other end. Nothing out of the ordinary. I usually get a bag of four and a strawberry Nesquik. The lady gave me an extra cinammon crumb. They're big and tasty. Just like your thighs if you're not careful and start taking home treats in a pink box instead of a small bag. read more

It's a donut shop nothing crazy. Came for a big order halloweeen weekend...no specialty ones like orange frosting but no t big deal. Folks were nice but a little pushy...I was about to buy the remaining regular donuts when a kid walked in with his mom. I said they could order first because as a kid picking the right donut is key and I didn't want to ruin that or have the mom go to another shops. The lady said no get what you want but I had confirmed they weren't making anymore. I'm glad I pushed back as the little guy picked one that wasn't gonna be there if I had gone first. Very Friendly and Patient workers. There are tons of donuts to choose from and even a few bagels that all look so appealing to the eye. Although this establishment is a little more pricey than the usual donut shop the taste is much better than the other shops around San Jose. All the donuts I tried tasted extremely fresh and delicious. They were even nice enough to throw two donuts in free with my purchase. I didn't have a chance to try any donuts because as soon as I put one for through the door, the woman at the counter barked at me "NO DOG ALLOWED!". I was with my service dog which had his clearly marked "service dog" vest on. I understand the no pets policy but, 1. Service dogs aren't pets and 2. A polite, excuse me, or sorry, no pets allowed would have been a decent way to let me know you didn't notice the service animal and allow me to explain. She didn't apologize after I told her he was a service dog, as a matter of fact, she said nothing at all! She just kept glaring at me with a sour face so I turned around and walked out. There are right ways to approach a customer who you believe it's violating a rule in your establishment and I wasn't causing any kind of disruption! Great mom and pop shop. Cash only, prepare yourself. I've gone for the sausage croissants myself. They always hit the spot. Their bagels are huge. Fair prices too. I work in the plaza with the owners' son. His mom is so sweet, she always gives a couple donut holes extra with my order. You can taste the quality of the dough, it's light and airy. They're also genuinely friendly neighborhood folks. A lot of times when I sit in for lunch and see people coming and going, they're always striking up a conversation and serving up smiles. I come to this shopping center to get a haircut and always make a point to stop by this donut shop. Today at 9am I stopped by for cup of coffee and a donut. I asked about the donut holes and lady behind counter told me they were all sold out. I sat and drank my coffee with plain donut and saw what appeared to be a regular customer start walking in as lady behind counter immediately started packaging her order. Must be a routine order. I distinctly saw this customer got a small bag of some donut holes that were hiding in back row of display. As trivial as this is and as reasonable it may seem for the shop owner, the way this was handled does not sit well with me. I am done making special point to visit. read more

I don't eat donuts often, but when I do, I like them cakey and spongy. I'm disappointed to say this Manley is not it. I bought a dozen mixed and this includes the fancy stuff like apple turn overs and bear claws for $12.50. Price is comparable to other donut shops. To my disappointment, the donuts are just average, but the apple turn over is very flat and dense. It's not light and airy like other places I've been. Staff is very friendly, just one man behind the counter. The shop is clean. I think I prefer the other Manley's on Lincoln since they have the same donuts and they offer filled donut holes. read more

I've been here twice so far and will keep coming back. Every time I come I have to try something new to figure out what is my favorite. So for from what I tried the original glazed is obviously good. So much better than Krispy Kreme. It's fluffy and flavorful and not too sweet. My favorite donut is the maple. I also enjoyed the chocolate and the cinnamon roll. Well, add my 5 star review to the pile with the others! I had never been to Manley Donuts until late last month, when I decided my office needed a break from cake for our monthly birthday celebration. 2 dozen assorted were more than enough cut in half and my total was just under $20. Super delicious donuts and the gal who was packing my boxes even gave me two free bars! Add a Starbucks traveler to the mix and we were all very happy campers.
