I come here fairly often and have found that, over the years, their quality has slipped a little but overall they offer a solid bagel. It's not my preferred bagel spot but when I'm in the shopping center for other business and the bagel craving strikes, I'll pop in. I typically get an everything bagel with cream cheese from this shop. The bagels always taste good but I've found that their cream cheese isn't as great as it used to be. Perhaps they changed vendors. They always toast the bagels nicely, which I appreciate. They are generous with the cream cheese which leads to a messy eating experience. You'Ll want to make sure to have several napkins. They offer a large variety of bagel flavors and there's something for every craving here. I would love if they could improve the jalapeño cheddar bagel. They put such a small amount of cheese and jalapeños to the point that I wonder why they bother. Jalapeño and cheese bagels are my preference and it seems so few places can get them right these days. Service is prompt and the turn around time from order to receipt is quick. Order at the register and pick it up at another counter when they're call your number. It's typically busy here but despite that I never wait too long. My goto sandwich is the #6 - egg, bacon, tomato, avocado with pepper jack cheese on a wheat bagel. I stood in a substantial line. I was unaware that there were two registers open because the second register was occupied by a young kid taking a phone order. I noticed a woman bypassed the line where everyone else was standing, and he took her order after taking the order he announced next at that point, I stepped into his line and made him aware he had nothing to say other than I didn't know he was completely oblivious to his surroundings. It's a very busy shop and yet he wasn't aware. I suggested he offer a coffee and he refused. It was a big trouble and rather offensive. This woman and I locked eyes. She smiled, and I did not. Main Street is a block away from my work so I go pretty often. I do have to state a bias before I go on. The owners are customers of the company I work for and I've helped them for years. That being said this will be an unbiased review. Without question they have the widest variety of bagels, croissants, muffins and breakfast sandwiches that I've seen at any other bagel shop. Their variety of drinks is pretty up there too, including my favorite, Vietnamese coffee. I don't think I've ever met a bagel I didn't like. Wanted to come based on the reviews. I came during late morning so it was pretty empty. Upon entering, I was welcomed, which was appreciated. I let someone go ahead of me as I was still deciding. After I ordered, it was just the person ahead of me and myself in the shop waiting for our order. I ordered my bagels through grub hub as I have free delivery through my Amazon prime membership, and the bagel I ordered (tune melt with cheese) was awfully salty, like overly salty! That is almost takes inedible, secondly they don't put enough care in how they prepare the bagel, everything is overwhelmingly 'too much' which includes the heavy loaded tuna that is literally falling out of my bagel, there is lack of care in preparing the bagels with fillings that are cut well and put in thoughtfully. Sometimes if I'm feeling extra fancy I'll order my two usual rotation Sammy's and have it on a croissant! The service is fast, I find that calling makes it faster if I'm in a rush I'll order on the phone ahead of time but if I'm in no rush at all I'll sit outside or order Starbucks nearby and walk there and by the time I come back my order is ready! I get random bagel cravings from time to time, and when I do, Main Street Bagels is my go-to spot. If you want something sweet, try the blueberry crunch bagel with plain cream cheese. If you prefer savory bagels, the asiago cheese with sun-dried tomato cream cheese has been my favorite combo so far. The only spread I would stay away from is the onion cream cheese- it has a few too many raw onions. I've also tried their croissants and breakfast sandwiches, but the bagels are where it's at. If you need some caffeine, the iced coffee tastes significantly better than their standard hot coffee. I usually order a freshly squeezed orange juice. It's the perfect amount of pulp and not overly sweetened. As far as the customer service goes, it's not exactly friendly, but also not rude- just very straight to the point. The shopping center where it's located always has ample parking. I live nearby, so I always opt to walk here to burn off some of those calories haha. My horrible day at work, turned into the best day ever! A dozen bagels showed up at work and there were only 2 flavors left- blueberry and sesame. So I chose blueberry. So I proceeded to place my bagel in the toaster but the outside was sticky, which is very unusual for bagels. I have a sweet tooth so I knew it would be good. Hot out of the toaster, I slathered plain cream cheese. I hid myself in my office and took my first bite. I had just eaten one of the best bagels that I've ever had in my life. I came here for a latte and an egg/bacon/avocado/tomato plain bagel, and they have pretty good bagels. I'm not much of a bagel aficionado, finding them generally too doughy, but this place's weren't overly thick to the point I feel like I'm eating a loaf of bread. The interior is small but clean, but it's really not a restaurant, more a to-go spot. I guess you could sit and eat here but it's too cramped and loud to really be a hangout spot. It took about 10 minutes total to get my good and go, which is fine. The staff are efficient. My only real complaint is that bagels just don't make good sandwiches unless the ingredients are very hearty and relatively limited in variety. The reason is that bagels are so chewy that they end up squishing everything out when you bite them, which unfortunately did happen here. I tried to keep the bagel wrapped up, sort of like how a burrito needs to be wrapped to keep from ripping, but in the end there were still chunks of avocado and egg that got squeezed out. The latte was fine, although it could have used an extra shot of espresso. This isn't a menu option, perhaps they'd offer if you ask. Anyway, if you want a bagel this place seems to have good bagels. I'd probably limit my toppings on bagel sandwiches as I mentioned. The coffee is also fine but not noteworthy. Parking close may be an issue, but it's in a big lot so you'll find something.
