Recently over last two years I would say this business has exceptionally went out of its way to price gouch . A few years ago I seen it go up about 25 percent no reason this week I seen an increase of another 30 percent in top of last week. I nor anyone should have to pay 26.00 dollars for a half cup of rice old wilted lettuce,veggies not chicken breast but thighs or for over deep fried frozen potstickers. Manna teriyaki is our favorite teriyaki. We've been coming here for years, but we no longer live nearby, so we don't have it as often. But still to this day, nothing beats the taste. Huge portions. Best teriyaki place in Mill Creek area I have found so far. My go to to is the T-2. They are always quick & it is convenient to grab dinner after shopping at Fred Meyer. Their slaw isn't anything to write home about, but it isn't bad either. I like that they give you extra sauce to drizzle on top to flavor it to your liking. read more

Probably my favorite teriyaki place as far as food quality goes. They actually cook the meat in the sauce, rather than dumping it on top after the fact. The chicken and beef I ordered had crispy barbecued ends revealing it was in fact cooked over an open flame. No microwave short cuts here. Gyoza was delicious. Really enjoyed the vinegar-based gyoza sauce. Side salad is like any other teriyaki joint I've been to, an after thought. Brown rice is available. The menu is posted on a board above the counter with clear labeling and great pictures. They are slammed at dinner time so call in your order at least 30 min in advance. Located in the busy Fred Meyer parking lot, there is ample parking but you may not score a spot in front of the restaurant during peak times. read more

Wow, these Fred Meyer complexes just seem to get bigger and bigger with every new one they build. This one feels like it goes on for three blocks. Manna is a great addition to one of the little rows of businesses within the larger store--I actually love this approach to architecture, where there is room for so many different businesses in one parking lot. It doesn't add a lot of visual character to the neighborhood, but it makes it easy to run errands. Manna is a nice little yaki joint, with a bunch of stir fries, yakisobas, and teriyakis. You walk in to a dining room of maybe a dozen tables, with seemingly every one occupied by someone waiting for a to-go order. There are a couple of pop coolers, and a big menu over the counter. You know. The usual. The chicken breast teriyaki ordered extra spicy is barely even spicy, let alone extra spicy. But that's alright, because the flavor is great. They fry in onion slices and some black pepper along with the yaki sauce--it's not just overwhelming sugar syrup by any means. The red squeeze bottles on the table, surprisingly, do not contain pepper paste. They contain plum sauce. Oh, well. Just be warned. There's a brown rice option, though there is no steamed veggie option, so you can make your order halfway more healthful. Bottom line, this place does a good job, and it's a good cheap alternative in this area. read more

This is by far my favorite teriyaki place ever. I've tried places from Marysville to Seattle, and I always end up comparing it to this place. Their chicken is always perfectly cooked, and the friend rice is made very well. I love this place and will always recommend it. Someone in these reviews mentioned getting a stomach ache and needing Pepto bismo and he was spot on! The 4 out of 5 of us had stomach aches 20 min after leaving and woke up still feeling it. OK, so here's the deal. I'm going to come back and try this place again sometime. There were a lot of pluses but a couple of minuses in critical categories. It's right next to Fred Meyer so very convenient. The portion sizes were very good and I was instantly impressed. The place was clean, the service was good and they had a steady stream of takeout customers which usually bodes well for quality. I got takeout and it was ready within the time frame they quoted me. Sounds like it should be a solid, hands down win, right? Sadly, it was not. If the food doesn't taste good then it's a fail. My wife and I ordered the chicken breast teriyaki and I also ordered the yakisoba noodles. My kids got standard teriyaki and one got a combo with that and gyoza. None of us were particularly impressed. The chicken breast was very dry and lacked flavor. It almost seemed as if they'd found a way to scotch guard it so that flavor would bead up and roll off of it. It was weird. I tried propping it up with some Sriracha and it just didn't work. That stuff is freakin' magic and can save almost any dish but not this time. Same deal with the beef yakisoba. I asked for no onions. I don't know if they just don't put veggies in it or if they took the "no onions" request as a request to forgo vegetables all together. If you read my reviews, this was a huge issue I had with the now defunct Golden Cafe. Their yakisoba was greasy noodles and meat with nothing else. I mentioned this to them several times and they didn't seem inclined to make any changes. The fact that they're gone now kind of tells the tale on that, doesn't it? At least these noodles weren't greasy but they were dry as a bone. Nothing screams, "We buy our noodles in a pillow pack from Cash n' Carry rather than making our own fresh" louder than dry yakisoba noodles. My wife hated it so much, I don't think she's going to ever eat there again. She loves Miyako's and I got chewed out for getting this rather than that. I've got reviews to write here though and I'm always seeing what else is out there. I have been patronizing Manna Teriyaki since it opened in the Fred Meyers' Shopping Center from it's early days in the mid-1990's. The food has been consistently excellent and service acceptable. Additionally, I have known that the owners' are Biblically Orthodox/Evangelical Christians by the several plaques behind/on the service counter that they prominently display. I respect peoples' right to worship their God as they wish and live out their Godly life as they choose to. That said, I am not comfortable when these same people choose to interject their religion and religious views in to their daily business operations by their words and deeds. Recently, I went into Manna Teriyaki wearing cargo shorts and a totally in offensive pro-LGBT T-shirt. Additionally, my significant other joined me in the restaurant (after I placed and paid for my order) and greeted me with a chaste kiss. The cashier remarked to me that our kiss was not appropriate or welcomed in their establishment. Furthermore, I was told not come back to their establishment if I could not behave myself in an appropriate way. I asked the cashier, if they would say the same thing(s) to an opposite sex couple. I was told that they didn't have to give me an answer. So, I drew the conclusion that their verbal response would have been a definite "NO!" My significant other and I will think twice before we patronize Manna Teriyaki again in the future!! read more

I have eaten here three times since being introduced to it last fall. I have a tendency to order the same thing at all teriyaki restaurants (Yakisoba, usually with chicken,) so I stuck with that. Was surprised to be changed $9 and change, usually I spend $10+. Meal came with soup, something not usually included with the meal at other restaurants. It's cooked in peanut sauce, another difference, but a very tasty and great one. My mother ordered some eggrolls that looked and smelled great. My only wish is that this place didn't have to share such a crowded parking lot with the other businesses. read more

I added the provided miso soup(for salt), soy sauce as well as my own chili garlic sauce in hopes of saving the soup but it was a lost cause. Tonight was my first time trying Manna. I had three dishes, and two out of three, were really good. The fried rice - very good I loved the sesame chicken: white meat pieces, wok fried with a sweet and tangy sauce. Nice job on this one. I had high hopes for the Mongolian Beef as it's a favorite of mine and I read some positive reviews. The meat was chewy, overly salty and it was missing that little bit of sweetness that a good Mongolian Beef has, brown sugar. The quality of meat needs to be improved. I really wanted to love it but it needs work. Increase the price and use better quality meat :) I look forward to trying some of their other dishes. read more
