I was meeting some friends at a taphouse up the street that didn't offer food, so I kind of randomly selected Bento Factory, since it was close by. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the reviews were decent. I ordered their Bento box--at the counter, with other patrons who were eating there (there's no table service)--which came with California rolls, a couple of gyozas, a salad (definitely grabbed from a bag-o-salad and dumped into a bin in my to-go box), a clump of rice (sticky, the way it should be), and a healthy portion of teriyaki chicken. The food was decent, and met my current need. That said, the teriyaki chicken was really quite good. I'm not usually a fan--there are so many other options in Japanese fare--but when I go by Bento Factory again, I'll definitely order it. read more

For full transparency, I haven't had sushi from Bento Factory since 2019. BUT, I was so obsessed with the place that I would eat there once a week and even made my brother bring me sushi from there while I was in labor with my baby. The sushi is delicious. My favorite is the Ruby roll and the tempura roll. I always ordered from Uber Eats and the drivers would always comment on how awesome my lunch smelled. This spot is GREAT. Kinda easy to dismiss, from the outside it doesn't look so fancy. This hole in the wall surprised me. I tried the special, Teriyaki Chicken Bento bowl and salad for 8.95. Came with 4 gyoza. This was a very generous portion of food for the price. The chicken was very good, nit that cheapo stuff that you find at a lot of places. It came with way more rice than I could possibly eat. The salad was standard thing you get at these types of places. The gyoza was fried with a crispy brown shell and came with dipping sauce. Very good. As a side, I tried their Unagi Roll. Not the best sushi I've had but above average for downtown Everette. All in all, I was very satisfied with my meal and the price couldn't be beat. I highly recommend anyone in the area to give it a try. I'll be back next time I'm down here and hungry. read more

I was really genuinely pleased and surprised! Short review: I can easily recommend/refer and I'm going back to try other combinations. Longer review: You know how you routinely drive by a place and think "I need to try that place out.", well the other day, after my workout - I did just that. I stopped at Bento Factory on Rucker (in Everett, WA). Starting with the service - The person at the counter was incredibly patient with me when I explained I 'needed a minute or two' as I'd never been there before and, they had a LOT of choices. She gave me plenty of time to read through the options - no heavy sighing or eye rolling in irritation at how long I was taking - I genuinely appreciated that courtesy! After I placed my order and in getting my drink, out of the blue one of the customers waiting on their 'to go order' initiated a conversation about what I ordered, volunteering how often they come to the place, and sharing their favorites. Here's the deal - I saw that as another indication of the quality and vibe of this place - staff are courteous & friendly, customers are friendly, I'm off to a great start! I opted to 'dine in' vs. 'take out' - The entire seating area was clean (critical for me!), orderly and easily accessible. The chairs can quickly and easily be moved allowing for wheelchair seating at a table. HINT: Getting into the place if one is disabled or in a wheelchair may require a buddy - but it can be done. My Bento Box #1 arrived in just a few minutes - and it was 'pretty' (sorry, I didn't take a picture as I was starving having just come from working out!) - there was: - a Green Salad with a wonderful tasting dressing, - California roll slices (4 of them) - Gyoza (2 of them) done to a crispness that I absolutely love, - Rice was done 'correctly' - to me, that means I can eat it with chopsticks and not have it fall apart or spill in my lap between my plate and mouth, - Sweet & Sour Chicken - that was a solid balance of sweet and sour - Salt/Pepper/Soy Sauce at the table While I ate, other diners came in for both eating in or take out and there were consistent, not just courteous but genuinely friendly exchanges at entrance, in dealing with orders and upon leaving - again, another indication of the type of place this is. ... In the end ... I took a copy of their take out menu so I can better prepare for next time (and there WILL BE a next time) and encourage you, if driving by - pull in and give Bento Factory of Everett a try. Oh! Literally the worst sushi roll I've ever had. Shrimp, avocado, and unagi? Wtf is that, not a rainbow roll for sure. And what is that gelatinous clear brown sauce? Definitely not tare sauce. I'm not a sushi snob, I swear. It really is that bad. I've had day old grocery store sushi that was better. Stay away from the sushi here. I'm all about curb appeal. I rarely go to a restaurant that looks unkept! So when we pulled up to Bento Factory I was pleased by how it looked. Upon entering we were greeted with a smile and a hello. We ordered at the counter and the lady behind the counter suggested the days special. I was splitting with my son so we got the teriyaki chicken with salad and gyoza. Hubby got the same but with California rolls. Now I am rarely excited about water but I saw their water machine and it was an ionizer. Instantly started looking around! Not only do they use stainless steel cups their purifier was amazing. There was no chlorine taste at all. I even took the information down on the company. Our food came out rather quickly and to my surprise it was a huge portion. It tasted good as well. They have 2 different salads and the dressings were different too both delicious. The rice was not dry but kind of sticky! My husband ranted about the teriyaki sauce and i enjoyed the gyoza. My favorite everywhere I go! This is our new go to place. It's clean. It's tasty. Well the service was good and friendly, but after spending a whopping $55 bucks for two veggie yaki so a, portion of egg rocks and one veggie sushi roll it's becoming ridiculous to go out anymore ... I mean I get 2023, the recession and higher cost of getting food but come on, unless things are worth it is just not gonna happen and sadly it's just wasn't worth the price... first off the noodles was bland and for a veggie dish I had one yes one small piece of broccoli with cheaper veggies thrown in there, the egg rolls tasted like the frozen stuff you get at QFC and the sushi even with the soy sauce was bland ... so sorry to the nice lady at the counter but it's nit recommended read more

Delicious Bento Boxes! The chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu choices were very good, juicy chicken and tasty chicken katsu. We ordered the B1 and 2; the B1 came with a cali roll while the B2 had shrimp tempura and a spring roll and wow was the crunch on the shrimp tempura absolutely amazing! Oddly enough even the salad dressing had something extra special to it. Overall a great lunch option. Bento Factory is a good compromise when my wife is craving teriyaki. The menu offers many other dishes besides teriyaki for me to choose from. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. MasterCard and Visa are accepted forms of payment. Indoors is clean and generally empty. A constant stream of patrons stroll in to either place to-go orders or pick up their phoned-in orders. We no longer place to-go orders but instead opt to dine inside due to past orders being packaged erroneously and us not noticing the mistake until returning home. Irritating. Orders are placed at the counter. Waiter service is not offered. Complimentary hot green tea is offered to sip on while dining inside or while waiting for orders to be prepared. My wife and I ordered a side of Egg Rolls (qty 2) for $3.75. The egg rolls were a bit overcooked and were of the frozen variety found in the freezer section of any supermarket. My wife ordered the Teriyaki Combo for $7.75: Chicken Teriyaki, Gyoza (qty 4), white rice and salad. My wife orders this meal each and every time and loves her choice each time. I ordered the Teriyaki & Wok Combo for $9.25: Spicy Chicken Breast and Chow Mein. I enjoyed my meal but in the future will request the chicken in the chow mein to be breast rather than dark meat. read more

So many teriyaki spots in Everett, but you can avoid searching any further, this place is my choice for the following reasons. 1. The chicken. My wife gets the teriyaki chicken in one form of another. Combo, bento box, etc. this place has less fatty gag reflex inducing pieces than any other tried place around. 2. Options with said chicken. Usually you can get a shit load of chicken and white rice maybe, in some cases, steamed vegetables. With their bento boxes and combos my wife often ends up with appetizers and I can snack on a couple sushi rolls a salad and soup. The box turns into lunch and dinner and you're not stuck with one entrée choice. 3. Bul go gi as an option. And it's good, not gross beef. 4. The owner? / lady hustling at the front is detailed with tour to go orders, friendly, and efficient. So, stop searching for a teriyaki spot downtown downtown Everett and stop here. read more

Tasted a few days old in poor refrigeration. Unagi roll not made with Sushi rice. Rice was again one step from being congee. Mush. There was also something not right about the flavor. Rice was just right. Gyoza was good. California rolls were fishy (krab), so I opted not to eat them. Salad was mixed greens, higher quality than usual teriyaki place. Overall, plenty of tasty food for the money. I ate in nearby Howarth Park, which was perfect! **UPDATE** because of my positive experience yesterday, I returned today for the final day of my training. I forewent the California roll, opting for teriyaki chicken, gyoza and salad. This time, the salad was iceberg and the chicken was dark meat.
