The texture and color are richer than regular grocery store honey, and the flavor is sweet (of course) with a hint of sour. More importantly, it's produced in the region, raw, and unfiltered. From what I understand there are a couple stores that sell it, but I live in DC so I just order mine online. Shipping is prompt and you get the sense the owners do this for the love. And I haven't gotten sick all winter, so it must be helping!

He quickly retrieved our honey selection from a temperature controlled setting. (It was still warm). Don't be fooled by this rustic feel the transaction was professional, quick and conveniently they are equip to take an array of payment options. We paid cash though. With over 900 hives on site this is a great place to find VA local collected honey. We happily took our locally collected honey home to sweeten our tea and calm our Virginia allergies.
