She answered the phone during my first call with "Hello??" like it was her personal cell phone or something, then was scatterbrained in person when I came for the estimate. I made an appointment for weeks out with the promise of a reminder call. First, the day they said they'd call to confirm the appointment came and went. It was snowy so I gave them a brake. Then, the date of the appointment came and went. NO call, no text, no email, nothing. Then two weeks later she had the audacity to call me acting as if I was the one who forgot. It was a small thing, but there's plenty of auto shops I can go to and I'm not giving my car to one who communicates poorly. I rely on it heavily and I need clear communication and timely updates.

Picked up truck stripes were crooked different thicknesses and spacing. Didn't even remove items to paint. Shitty tape job had over spray on a light lense that was only held on by 2 screws. The stripes were already lifting off paint excuse was metal was coming off in layers...on a 2014?!!. It was the galvanized coating which is why ot was in the shop. He said he didnt know why it was doing it. I told him.the job was unacceptable and he gave me a quart of paint and told me that since I know how to paint fix it.myself. do NOT go to this guy. He wasnt going to tell me the problems only did because i knew what I was looking at and have experience with auto body paint myself.

This was in the middle of a holiday weekend and the tow guy knew the owners of the place where he towed my car initially which was at Scott's Mufflers. He said I should leave the car there since I was in front of it KNOWING they would be closed and out of town. I know this because I later in the evening found out that the shop was closed all weekend. I had driven from out of town and was scheduled to leave the following evening. Luckily I was able to get ahold of the owners to get my keys to the auto place I later moved my car to with the help of my insurance which is USAA as I am an Air Force Veteran. The owners of Scotts Mufflers were very courteous and professional and had they been open I would have done business with them. I had paid this guy out of MY OWN POCKET which I later filed a claim for. It was the biggest hassle I have ever had with a broken down vehicle from out of town and this guy didn't even care I was on a schedule. He could have been WAY more helpful like the other tow company I later received help from. He was so lazy and just cared about getting the money for the tow. Beware of this one.

I submitted a quote request through Yelp and Bill responded the same day. Took my car to see him the next day and got a quote and we agreed on a day that worked for both of us. Dropped my car off and he had the dent taken care of the same day as promised, despite it requiring extra effort on his part to successfully remove. Before we found this business, she was taking her Blazer to a dealership. I had transported that vehicle from San Francisco 5 years ago when my sister passed away. She wanted only the best for that car. Between us we had, over time, spent 6K with that dealership. When it became overwhelming for us financially, she decided to look elsewhere and found Knightons. They have kept that vehicle in perfect running condition for about 3 years now. They have always been honest with her and worked things within her budget. They have treated her incredibly well and always only done what needed to be done and never, have they ever tried to sell her anything that wasn't needed at each visit. Recently my Mother was diagnosed with Cancer. She has had to move to NC with me as of last week. She had taken the car to them for a check up so that my husband could go pack her up and bring her here. As she left the lot to get a hitch receiver to bring to them for installation, someone came through a stop light and hit that vehicle. Believe it or not, they came on the scene to tow her vehicle to their shop and even took her home so that she could get there safely. Her vehicle looks just like it did before it was hit and let me tell you, there was plenty of damage. It was totaled by the insurance company, but since the vehicle belonged to my sister, she decided to keep it and they fixed it in time for my husband to fly to NC to get her. I lived in KC all of my life. I have never, ever known a more honest group of people when it has come to mechanics and now extensive body work. They have done a AMAZING job. My Mom misses them terribly and doesn't want anyone else to touch that vehicle. I can see why!! If you need ANY kind of mechanics or body work, if you live within a hundred miles of this shop, it would be worth your time to let them do your work. This is a very talented group of mechanics, body work people. unbelievable... honestly. I work for a transport company and many of my clients transport older vehicles to body shops, several states away just to ensure that they get quality work. I will definitely recommend them to anyone I know in the KC area and even around the country.
