The food was good, pretty decent for deli sandwiches. They still haven't resolved the smell issue from the previous review. It does smell like sewage or something has leaked. We had to take ours to go. The big issue was that we showed up on a Saturday during prime lunch time. Only about 1/3 of the tables were full, but it took 40 minutes to get food. Not at all what I expected for a counter service deli. I would recommend for the food, but you should realize that it's going to be a long wait and plan accordingly. I ordered to go, took a soda from the cooler and sat down to get a true visual inside on the food...live goin' down! Several ppl were dining in, seeming regulars, seemingly VERY much enjoying their vittles. When I was called to pay, it was under $30. Honestly, not bad for 2 - 12" subs your choice of a side, and the drink. BTW- the food bag was so heavy i thought they handed me the wrong order! But the REAL magic was yet to be discovered... when we got home. The subs were made-to-order-perfect, the sides were fresh, and the utensils were plentiful. These 'wiches were chocked full of everything goodness. Nearing overkill (ok- com'on that could never be!) yet amazingly the bread held its own. Up to this point my favorite cold Italian sub is the one at Jersey Mike's. But let me assure you The Godfather knocked Jersey Mike's Italian sub to second place! It was served quickly, made to order and the ingredients were very fresh. I got the 12" sub and it was more than enough to have fed two people or lasted for two meals. (Mine didn't make it past lunch, though!) I got the macaroni salad as a side which was creamy and very good. I plan on returning soon and I want to try some other sandwich Manny's offers but it would be hard not to order The Godfather again.
