The gyro wasn't great and out service was a bit slow. I might go back and try something else that isn't Greek. The salad has some kind of cheese on it that has a not so great smell... Food is great but customer service is awful! I specifically called to find out the specials for the day. I called back and placed an order for myself and a coworker. When I arrived at the drive thru window I was told a much higher price. I was told what we ordered was not on special that day. I was finally able to speak with a Manager who told me that our orders should not be on the special for the day and whoever took our order didn't understand. She told me they hire so many new people who do not know what they are doing! I've heard great things about this place but I was very disappointed. Maybe they're better known for their pizza, I'm not sure but me & my husband stopped in here for Greek/Italian food, not pizza in particular & were highly upset. I got some kind of pasta dish & the sauce it was in was green. I've never seen green pasta sauce but I was willing to give it a try which was a mistake. After a few bites, I gave up & just asked for a to go box. I'm not one to send my food back. My husband got the chicken tenders plate & the tenders were HUGE & smelled delicious but they were tough & chewy. Our waitress was excellent & the customer service was awesome but not worth $40. If they aren't good at anything but pizza, then maybe that's all they should advertise/sell. read more

Do Not Order Italian Food Here: I ordered Eggplant Parm and it was not good at all. It was greasy and mushy - way over cooked. The garlic bread was a piece of white bread - of the wonder bread variety, that had been put in a toaster oven, (i.e. was toasted only on one side). The salad had a huge chunk of tomato that should have been cut into at least four pieces and it was spoiled to boot. The sauce, which was so so - was almost non-existent - fortunately I had a jar of sauce at home so I added some of that. read more

I just had the worst customer service experience in a very long time. I work in customer service and I never will go any place and cause a scene. I'm a manager myself. However, tonight was a little bit different. I tried to go the high road and go home and call the manager to just let them know my experience and come to find out the lady that grabbed the phone wasn't even a manager. So, I sat there from 7:40 to 9:00. It was busy, I get it. I have patience. I had my salad and fried green tomatoes as I waited on my dinner. The food arrived less the mushrooms I paid to be added, so my server gave me a 'plate' of mushrooms. The spaghetti was tasteless and watery, so I didn't eat it. I sat there with a full plate of food. I had all kinds of staff walking by, not checking in or asking if I needed anything. Again, they were swamped but as a restaurant staff, where is the teamwork at? My drink was empty for quite some time and no one thought to help my server out or better yet put any other customer as their first priority. When someone did fill my glass, it was because my server asked her to. She was stuck behind a register with a constant long line of people and was expected to wait tables, take to go orders and ring people up? That's the first problem. If you know how busy it is on a Friday night, why wouldn't you staff your place accordingly? That is not fair to your staff or your customers, period. My complaint has nothing to do with the server (Courtney). She was doing the best she could under the circumstances. Anyway, she asked if they could remake the food. I said I don't care. They remade it and I was growing more and more unhappy at the minute and I was ready to go because I felt like I was being held hostage already for too long. I go to pay, they charge me for everything- okay, that's fine. The cashier asked if everything was okay and I said no, it's not and I put my hand up because I just wanted out of this place. I paid the full price of everything despite the lack of customer service and even left a tip. (It was not my normal generous tip, though.) Before I got in my door, I just got sick. Afterwards, I called to just let them know of my experience. I didn't raise my voice, did not cuss, nothing disrespectful came out of my mouth. Not only did the lady belittle me on the phone and raise her voice at me but she sat there defending the whole situation. No apology, no nothing. Oh, wait, that's a lie. She gave me a cannoli as her way of apologizing without even knowing what the issue was before I walked out. I would have been okay had I not spoken to her. She asked me if it made me sick, why did I take it? I stated I didn't know that it did until after I left. However, I thought why am I explaining my actions to this lady. I asked to talk to the owner. Apparently, his name is Gus. When I spoke to him about the lady that I just spoke to, he said well, that's what happens when you talk to employees. Really?! So, I filled him in and said- just wanted you to know I got sick and I hadn't eaten anywhere all day. He apologized to me and said what can I do to make you happy? I said I don't care, I just wanted to tell you about the experience. He stated why don't you come for lunch tomorrow and I'll take care of you and I said, no I have to work. He said, well, whenever you can. We got of the phone and I still was upset about this lady and I wasn't going to eat this food anyway. So, I got back in my car and went back to give them their food back and the cannoli for my trouble. I dropped it off and gave it to Gus. I said, first of all, I wasn't trying to cause a scene because it's busy but that lady on the phone was very rude. Rude. Rude. Again, didn't raise my voice. He said can I have a hug? I looked at him, put my hand up and almost yelled don't f&$:!?@ touch me. I said, I just want my money back which I wasn't going to do. He asked, can I charge you for the salad and I said yes, and you can charge me for the fried green tomatoes. He gave me cash back and asked me if I wanted the cannoli and I said no. It was never about the money, it wasn't even about the food, it was the principle of the matter. I didn't want anything free, I didn't want a cannoli to appease me, I wanted to not have had this unpleasant experience, period. I was told that it was one of the best places to eat and I'm pretty sure that Manny's didn't gain its reputation by treating people like crap, throwing a Cannoli at them to fix major issues, then trying to hug them instead of listening to a legitimate problem and trying to fix it. If I was a guy would he have tried to hug me? No, you would have listened to what I had to say and you would not have discounted it because my genitalia differs from yours. Needless to say, I won't be stopping by for you to "take care of me."Instead, you might want to fix the issues in your place of business to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Beware if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. I'm quite astounded by the lack of concern given to dietary issues. I was clear in my order and was assured that a Parmesan Chicken Sub with no bread and a salad in place of fries would be not be an issue. The fault does not lie with a server. I saw where she had dictated my orders exactly on to the ticket. When my food was brought out it had a side of fries and I was still without my side salad. I ended up having to get a to go box for my chicken and leaving half of my salad and all of the fries. When I was preparing to check out imagine my surprise with a 14.70 bill! That was with a water! The owner, I presume, is the lady who checked me out. She was extremely rude and informed me to read the menu better next time. I told her that had I known the price of this "lunch" meal (with it's variations) I would have ordered the entree Chicken Parmesan for 13.99. I left my server with a 4 dollar tip. It wasn't her fault that she works for a restaurant with zero management skills. I can assure you that myself, nor my family and workplace will dine there again. There are too many new and delicious restaurants in the Boiling Springs/Spartanburg area to alienate your customers by rudeness. It was never about the price, but the lackadaisical attitude towards your paying customers. You can do better Manny's! read more

stumbled upon this gem...on a road trip. so good we had to stop again, on our way back through s.c. the food was great and the level of customer service/courtesy is second 2 none. my fav menu item (so far) is the fried pickle (spears)...they let me customize to spears instead of dill chips!!!! weve had the chicken philly sandwich, chicken philly pizza (another customization) lemon pepper wings and of course the pickles. i cant wait until another road trip leads me to manny's!!!!!! read more

Our family has dined at Manny's on an almost weekly basis since the restaurant opened. Several years ago it changed hands and is now owned by Gus and Georgia. The food has remained consistently great. The servers are excellent as well. However, we have found ourselves to be overcharged on multiple occasions. I began asking for the itemized receipt to find that we were infact being overcharged. They charge .75 for ranch dressing. I was advised that ranch is NOT included in the boneless wing meal. I was told that the sauce chosen (teriyaki, wild asian) is the sauce the comes with the wings. How many restaurants do this? Tonight, the bill was over $70.00. The items that should have included ranch were an order of wings, a buffalo finger plate and a salad. We had a total of 4 ranch dressings, so that is one extra. As I was checking out and looking at my itemized receipt, Georgia says to me "Who was your server? I know you are looking for the ranch's. I did not charge you for the ranch dressings because your server didn't write it down." I looked at her in disbelief and placed $3.00 on the counter. It is sad that such an incredible restaurant lost two families business over ranch dressing. It is unfortunate that the owners, who should be the ones trying to retain the business and serve the customer, are the very ones pushing patrons away. read more

Great selection of Italian and Greek food served in large portions, so you might want to share dinner plates, or you will have leftovers. We all had dinner plates, but the pizza being served at other tables looked very good, too. Don't pass up the dessert case as there are some amazing selections for dine in or carry out. The dining room is simple, but fine for casual and family dining. The menu is interesting showing parings of wine with the main dishes. A good find, we'll certainly return. read more

Wish I could tell you how the food was, but didn't even get that far. Called to place a takeout order, for the large two topping pizza and free 10 wing special they have. I was quoted a time of 20 mins. I arrived about 30 mins later. I had never been to this establishment so I was unsure of exactly what to do. I went to the counter where the register is, in hopes of being greeted. They had 8 people working in the front by the register. But no one greeted me. They actually acted like I wasn't there. They were taking orders and taking people's money that were on line behind me. Finally, after getting agitated I asked if this is where I pick up a Togo order. The bald headed man, I assume the owner, said yes. I stood for another six minutes, this time right in front of the register, thinking maybe some one would take my money. Didn't happen. Utterly disgusted I said to the man, is this how you conduct business. Been here 19 mins and nobody can assist me? He said nobody said anything to me because my food wasn't ready, even tho it was on the counter right behind him. So after waiting and standing in the same spot for another 7 mins, he finally says he will ring me up. The price came out to be $26.49. I said you must have got the wrong order..it says a large two topping pizza is $17.99. Instead of this clown just saying ok. He proceeds to want to argue. He says where does it say that? I picked up a Togo menu and showed him. He said then, yes but you got extra cheese. I said I got extra cheese on half of the pizza. One half pepperoni and ground beef and one half pepperoni and extra cheese. He said but you got double pepperoni. I said I didn't ask for double pepperoni. He says but you got extra cheese. I said one pepperoni topping and one extra cheese topping is equivalent to two toppings correct. Then he says yes but you got double pepperoni. I told him I wasn't gonna pay $8 for extra cheese on half of a pizza. And double pepperoni that I didn't even ask for. He said that extra cheese is $3.59. I said well that's only $21.50.?i know taxes isn't $5 on a $20 check. The more I talked the louder he got. Guess it's good I am a peaceful man. So goes the golden rule of the customer is always right. This guy needs to learn some manners, and the staff needs to be more accommodating. This is the hospitality industry they work in. So when I told the man I wasn't paying $8 for the extra cheese on half a pizza he still proceeded to get loud and confrontational. I told him I was just gonna leave it, forget the order. He still was arguing with me as I walked out. He just lost a future customer and the $20 after taxes on that meal. I hope he let his staff enjoy the pizza, instead of putting it in the trash. Disrespectful to argue with a paying customer over something the customer didn't order. I heard a lot of mixed reviews about the food. I guess I will never find out how it taste. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. Can make or break a business. Don't want to see anybody fail, but I will never have anything good to say about this place. So small minded that he lost future customers and revenue because he charged $8 too much for a pizza that the menu says is $17.99. Still can't figure out where he got the idea I asked for double pepperoni, he made that up. Wonder if it was the extra cheese or the double pepperoni that cost $8. Food is delicious! They have the best pizza and wings. I always go for the Asian flavor, it's to die for! They also make their own Greek dressing and I have yet to find one better!
