This was our first time at Green Olive and it certainly won't be our last! Our Caesar salads were fresh and plentiful and the entrees were much better than we expected. I got the shrimp scampi, which has a creamy sauce, and hubby got the papparadelle pasta with mushrooms. Both excellent. I really enjoyed my aperol spritz was delightful, a cocktail you don't see often. Be sure and save room for one (or two) of the awesome desserts!! Amazing food. Had the Kofta kebab and it was really delicious. Reminded me of food back in the SF Bay Area. It was so good I came back the following week and brought my wife. She had the Mediterranean Combo and also loved the flavor of the beef and shrimp kebabs. I asked the waitress what she recommended and said the short ribs are cooked the night before so it's super tender. She didn't lie. It was fall off the bone. Our visit to the Green Olive Grill was a spur of the moment choice, based primarily on good Yelp reviews. And we like Italian food. We had to ding one star for a skimpy beer selection. My husband had fish and chips; I had chicken piccata. He said the his fish was great. Done just right. My chicken piccata was delicious! The lemon sauce was plentiful, perfectly seasoned, and filled with capers. I was particularly pleased with the spaghetti. It was sitting in the lemon sauce and was very easy to twirl with just a fork. Our server was Chris. He was very charming and still efficient. The ambiance? It has a good old diner feel but who cares if the meal is exceptional! This isn't a flashy 5-Star building with valet parking, but if you want exceptional food choices, a very nice and clean restaurant, waitstaff that has a personality, and an all around great dining experience this restaurant is well worth you time. We were a little confused by their menu because it had some Mediterranean options and then very Italian options but the reviews were good so we gave it a try. I ordered the kabobs, they are delicious. Chicken and beef were both very tender. My husband got the chicken piccata and it was absolutely delicious. Super creamy, HUGE portions. We ordered the falafel appetizer as well, which was perfect texture, great taste. We were here with our three kids and the staff is wonderful. Everyone we encountered from the time we walked into the building to the time we walked out was great. Our server, who is also a teacher, was incredible. Accompanied by a pile of arugula with a few charred veggies, tomato, pepper and onion. Veggies good but too much arugula for me. Tried wife's 4 Cheese penne with shrimp. Good but not very interesting. Pasta cooked nicely. On the other hand, our friend's pasta and sauce in the Basil Chicken Pasta was delicious. I think the 4 Cheese would definitely benefit from some herbs, not making it same as basil sauce but somewhere between or another direction. Oh and one last thing, I think the quality of the food justifies freshly grated parm instead of the shakers containing the green container not so good stuff. read more

Well first impressions means everything and this fell flat. I being generous with the two stars only because it had a nice interior and the pictures of the food looked great. But you can't eat pictures. The host said the wait would be 20/30 minutes which was fine but didn't mention 20 minutes later that they stopped seating. We over heard her telling another would be patron. DO NOT GIVE SOMEONE A WAIT TIME AND THEN DECIDE NOT TO TELL THEM WHEN YOU STOPPED SEATING.
