The guy never tried to upsell a "better" wash. That alone, personally, deserves a 4 star. But in all seriousness this place is great. Plenty of waiting area and wide selection of snacks for purchase if you get bored. I gotta say that they could have done a better job drying the windows cuz i can see streak marks by the towel they use but its nothing too bad. Great place to get your smog check completed, especially when you are in a rush. The smog techs are always polite and give you the best deal possible. The wait time is nonexistent and you also have a place to relax (snack shop with couches) while your waiting. I was due for a smog check and decided to drop by Manny's since it's conveniently located nearby, and the fact that they were offering $30 off deal was a definite bonus. I was surprised when, only 20 minutes after dropoff, Jazmin told me my car was ready and apologized for the wait. If 20 minutes is a wait, I'd love to see them on a good day! Check-out was fast and easy, and Jazmin was incredibly amiable. Waiting area has comfortable (albeit somewhat limited) indoor seating, as well as ample covered outdoor seating. In and pout in under 15 minutes. Never really got to enjoy the pleasant waiting area with phone charger -they even had a USB-C cable. It also included a car wash with unlimited vacuum cleaner, but being your own total to dry and anything else you normally use. Low cost and the best value. Convenient place for smog test in Marketplace area. Very clean facility with nice customer lounge and restrooms. Came here on a Friday, there were 2 cars waiting, and was told I have to wait an hour and a half. Left and came back on a Tuesday morning, and there was no waiting. I wish I could give Mason and his manager 10 stars! I made the mistake of going to a different smog testing place (Purrfect Auto Service in Anaheim on Lincoln) this year and my car failed. The mechanic wanted $99 to do a diagnostic test. I asked to see the test and saw that only one item failed (OBD System Checks). I asked them if they could just fix the OBD and they said "no" they had to do a diagnostic check for $99. Thank goodness I had a coupon so I only paid $29.95 for the smog test. I knew something wasn't right so the next day I drove to my favorite auto repair shop for the past 4-5 years (Manny's). I have NO IDEA why I didn't go there in the first place. I was getting close to the deadline and happened to be in Anaheim one afternoon where I had the time to get a test done I think. ANYWAY, I took the paperwork to Mason where he his manager (sorry I forgot his name) checked the OBD part very easily with a scanner. In fact they used two scanners to make sure the OBD was in fact not connecting. Then they said they would check the fuses and, using my car's owner manual were able to see which fuse was burned out and they replaced it! Your car usually has extra fuses for you to use apparently. They also gave me a couple other fuses because they noticed a few others had been burned out. I haven't been able to use my cigarette lighter for years but never bothered to have it looked at. So that was it! They replaced one OBD fuse for $0 cost for parts or diagnosis!!! They have great prices on their smog checks so I paid Manny's $38 for a smog check and that included the certificate. I was so grateful to have their generous help after being very scared about a $99 diagnosis on a 1997 car. I had to give up my job two years ago to take care of my 98-year old mother full time so every little penny is important. God Bless Manny's. This is NOT the first time I have gone to them with something very important and possibly expensive and they tweaked something or other that fixed the problem. LOVE YOU GUYS. On February 12th we went in. We needed to get our cars smogged so that we could get them licensed in California. The were fast, efficient, and went the extra mile to take off the old stickers from our previous state. We had already tried to get the stickers off and hadn't had much luck.
