Terrible service! They smog failed my vehicle because they were trying to make money. I ended up going to a fabulous place off of Sunnymead Blvd. that explained in detail that my car was failed unjustly. They asked for me to pay an additional $120 for a diagnostic that was unfounded. Then they wanted over $800 to supposedly fix it. When I took it to the place off of Sunnymead, they said it was just the gas cap which is a $20 item. I called the Alessandro smog shop to explain my concern, and they were rude, insensitive, and unwillingly to listen. They even made a comment saying that I probably went to a place that does ilegal smogging on vehicles. They also did not have masks on or practiced any of the Covid guidelines for businesses. If you're looking to smog your vehicle or have any type of repair done...go anywhere else EEXCEPT THIS PLACE! read more

If I could give a zero I would. I drove there because my truck was over heating. This place is so crooked it makes no sense to do people this wrong. So they check out my vehicle and came back with I need to replace both water pumps, both thermostats, and turbo line. also said it may be other things also but to start doing the work it was over $4,000 dollars which was so crazy. I was still changed 175 for them to diagnose, a Lie and up charge me. I end up going to another shop which end up fixing it for $400.00. greedy crooked people, should be ashamed. read more

After spending over a thousand dollars on so called "necessary fixes" my check engine light was still on and they had the audacity to say that after everything they supposedly "fixed" that they cannot pass my smog check. They said that I would need to have almost another thousand dollar of repairs to my vehicle in order to pass it. 2 words to described this establishment: Quick and efficient! No frills no fuss. I was in and out of here within 35minutes and that's with 2 people ahead of me! The young lad really knows his thing! He was working by himself yet he managed to stay organized. The dude would tend to the waiting customers; instruct us on paperwork while one car is being tested. That's what I call multi-tasking. He is direct to the point yet managed to stay friendly and pleasant. The center itself was clean with comfortable sofas in the waiting room. As soon as I entered with my lovely 83 Westfalia Volkswagen for a smog test. The guy didn't know how to drive my shift stick van. He had it on high rpm in a wrong gear then finally got it in and he tried to take off my engine cover but it fell in and broke my hose. Coolant got all over and he told me that I need to get it fixed on my expense and asked me to move it and get a tow truck. What the heck?!?! He wouldn't own it and said his shop is closed and wanted me to take my van out. How?!?! Not driveable! Waiting on the police to come. read more

My car needed the catalytic converter replaced. They performed a diagnostic and got charged for it. They wouldn't give me the results but I already knew what the problem was. They charged me $1,200 for two oxygen sensors. I brought it back for a test and said it failed because the catalytic converter needs to be replaced and wanted to charge me $1,300 more for the repair plus the re diagnostic and smog test when they should've done the correct repair in the first place. Not coming here again, the smog technician before running a smog failed me on a visual inspection and not notifying me. Instead of telling me smog cant be done do to aftermarket intake and save me the time and money he went ahead and smogged my vehicle to have me come back and pay twice. Now everything passed besides the visual inspection and charged me full price. And told me to come back after i get issue fixed and would give me a discount. Took my car in because the engine light was showing. Left it for about a day or two. Came back, paid close to $700 and the light is still on. I called back and all I got as a response was "oh, it's because it might need more work done to it." They did mention that it passed a smog test and they changed the oil, but for $700? Hard pass. I wasn't very happy with the location. But thought I'd give it a try due to a coupon I saw. I found that the coupon was really to draw people in, but was very misleading. When we got an actual quote from the guy working, it actually cost twice the price. And they don't offer a re-test if a car doesn't pass the smog test. The red flag should have been that they don't offer a free retest if you don't pass. (Now, I know and knowing's half the battle.) I didn't realize getting a DMV required smog check would be such a process. I tried going to two other establishments in town that I'd found through yelp and found myself in empty offices waiting for an employee to appear both times. I wasted a ton of my day just waiting in vain. But thankfully, the third time was a charm. I was already annoyed, but I called over before I came and a human actually answered the phone. He was able to tell me that it would be $40 out the door for my 2007 Civic. I got there a few minutes later and the whole thing took less than 10 minutes. The location is a little sketchy, but the guy was nice and efficient. And like any ideal transaction, I wasn't lied to and I paid what he told me over the phone that I would pay. Easy. My husband and I went today 12/23/12 for a second Smog test due to the first did not pass because we needed a carb EO number for our K&N air filter. Eliab Velasquez, One of the workers, did not tell us during the first test that this was needed but charged us over $50.00 regardless. After we got the required number, my husband and I went back to get it checked again so it can pass the Smog test and Eliab told us that we are going to have to pay again. When we told him that he never mentioned to us that we needed the EO number he just looked at us and said," I don't need to tell you guys anything." After that he was being nothing but rude to my husband, he kept taking our paper and pushing them back to us saying for us to go somewhere else. SO WE DID! I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will never be going back again! If I can give them less than 1 star I would. TL;DR The people working here are very rude and unprofessional.
