Wings were absolute garbage. Small, breaded, just a nightmare. Both my wife and I hated the flavor of the hotdogs. They have a nice snappy skin, but are too thick and just taste not done enough. I ordered mine with cheese, and it was disgusting- tried to scrape it off the save the dogs, but then I had to deal with the not very good hotdog flavor too much. Just stay away from those. Jalapeno poppers were cheddar, and I prefer cream cheese, but were pretty good. Same with the mozzarella sticks. Nothing special, but not bad. The fries and onion rings were awesome. That's the only thing I ordered I would recommend anyone try if they go here. Not exactly a ringing endorsement. read more

Manny's features a wide variety of fresh diner-style breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner cuisine served quickly in a casual and family-friendly setting. Our server was very helpful providing two first-time visitors navigate the expansive menu, which offers everything you'd expect at a traditional New Jersey diner ranging from omelettes to sandwiches to burgers to Greek specialities. That said, the signature Texas weiner ($3 apiece or $6.49 served with french fries, cole slaw and a pickle) - a 10" long beef and pork hot dog served on a white bread roll covered in with mustard, onions, a chili sauce that resembles Greek spaghetti sauce, and processed cheese - is the primary reason you're here and I wasn't disappointed. It was a terrific combination of flavors, freshly cooked to order, and served piping hot. My only criticism (and very minor at that) was that the combination of the hot dog (which I ordered without cheese) and toppings simply overwhelmed the soft and tender bun, which fell apart by the time I was halfway through it and required a fork to enjoy every last bit of tasty goodness. The crinkle-cut french fries were not heavily seasoned from the kitchen but still quite tasty with just a bit of salt and ketchup. Due to the current restrictions on indoor dining due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Manny's has converted a few parking spots in front of the restaurant into outdoor seating; al fresco dining was a pleasant experience on a late summer afternoon. They have plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the restaurant on Valley Street and it'd be nice if they kept the outdoor seating area once indoor dining returns. I'll definitely be back to try more of the extensive menu at this family-owned and operated neighborhood favorite next time I'm in the area! read more

They have outdoor seating and there was a buslady, who kept the tables cleaned.. I ordered the hot pastrami on rye.. I didn't have lunch and I drove by Mannys, made a U-turn to try the "Texas Hot Dogs" to go. I ordered the two dog special hoping to relive an awesome dog like I enjoyed in the 70s and 80s in NJ, Like Callahans, Nedicks or Hirams. The fries were average, coleslaw good but hot dog was below average and the Chili was flat-out disgusting . it tasted nothing like a chili, it had nutmeg or maybe some Indian spice that DID NOT belong in chili . I actually started writing this review before I received my food, as the customer service was g-d awful. Between the white lady and Spanish chick they do an A+ job of making a customer feel SUPER unwelcomed. On my way to work, I stopped to get a quick egg sandwich. But talking too another coworker about getting stiffed on a tip the night before was more important than taking my order at 7:15am on a Sunday morning. Mind you, I had to be at work at 730. They are ridiculous. i must have gained a few pounds eating those. They use melted mozzarella cheese (and a lot of it) and the gravy was good. Was passing by here and my daughter wanted to give it a shot. The people behind the counter were extremely pleasant and helpful. Being a Texan I had to stop in at Manny's Texas Weiner because - well because Texas is not really the weiner capital that this name implies... Four of us ate here 3 days in a row - parking is tough and the place is small as can be. In fact I think the menu is larger than the restaurant. We had standard NJ diner type food - (none of it healthy). From Burgers, to Paninni (sp?) to Reuben. The food was solid but fries were a let down as it is frozen krinkle cut fries so I opted for the Onion Ring upgrade which was well worth it. Would I go here again - yes if I am in the area. This is our traditional stop when we come home. The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. You can't go wrong from breakfast; I usually order the Mannys healthy choice which is grilled chicken, an egg white omelet and choice of toast. Prices have gone up a bit but still worth it if you order enough to satisfy your appetite. Last time we went the portion for breakfast seemed less than our last visit because my 11 year old was still hungry. Haven't been dissapointed yet. Been here twice. Once for just the texas hot dog and once for dinner. The hot dog was ok but I didn't like the chili that they put on top. It tasted like it had a lot of herbs in it that you don't usually have in chili. And was a little mushy. Maybe that's just what a texas weiner is supposed to taste like though... This isn't just a hotdog joint, its a full blown diner. They have an expansive menu that can satisfy any late night meal. I ordered the cheesesteak while my girlfriend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Both meals came with fries, coleslaw and a pickle and the portions were great. Was this the best food?
