    The sides!!

We are a big fan of the Brazilian Churrascaria and we found out that there is a new chain called Rio Grande opened near Dadeland. We went for a family dinner this past weekend and were welcome with a live performer. The meal included unlimited salad bar and various meats that are brought to our table. The salad bar was a little limited compared to other Brazilian churrascarias and they brought sides dishes mashed potatoes, sweet plantains, and the cheese bread balls with guava dipping sauce. The meats were ok, I wish it had more seasoning, but unique to this restaurant is octopus and shrimps (which were the stars of the meal). For dessert we ordered their almond tort which was the most bland tort I ever had. The staff and live music were great and for the most part it was good and filling meal.

Had a great experience here at Rio Grande! For starters, if you don't speak Spanish you might have trouble navigating as most of the servers speak only Spanish. Upon arriving we were greeted and allowed to pick our table. The decor is a little gaudy with big gold chairs. We sat near the salad bar for close access. The salad bar was packed with ceviche, tuna salad, chicken salad, soups, and more! I didn't realize much food we'd be getting over the course so I wish I saved some room. The food just starting coming nonstop. My favorite cuts were the picanha, churrasco, shrimp, and lamb. The cheese breads were soooo good and warm too. The plants were soft and had cinnamon sugar. Since it was my dad's birthday, they put on a show where they came with lights dancing. The desserts were phenomenal we got the crème bruelle and the flan. Overall, we left rolling out of the place and it was a good experience. FYI you have to pay for water

Delicious, Friendly Customer Service, and Modern Ambiance. First time visiting Rio Grande Churrascaría and I can absolutely say that it was definitely worth every penny! The food was fresh and the meats were all tender cooked to perfection. The salad bar had good options like hot foods such as beans, rice, soups, and meatballs. The cold salad bar had a make your own salad section, fruits, and pasta salads and more! The meats are high quality and some options were rib-eye, top sirloin, churrasco, shrimp, octopus, chorizo, pork loin, picana, and more! Drinks and desserts are not included in the prices. Prices range from Weekdays M-F $25.99 Lunch 11am-4pm, Dinner $39.99 Weekends $39.99 all day! (brunch brings a welcome mimosa) They play live music too. Highly recommend to visit for a date, a birthday, or friend/family dinner. Lastly, parking is easy to find since it is located inside a shopping center.

Rio Grande Churrascaria is a solid restaurant for Brazilian rodizio-style lunch. The churrasco was delicious overall, with a nice variety of meats--though the lamb was a bit chewy and the pork seasoning wasn't quite my thing. The salad bar and side dishes were on point, and the atmosphere is beautiful with a fully stocked bar. Friendly staff too. It's a nice experience, just not a standout compared to some other steakhouses I've been to.

Rating: 3.5 02/2025 Learned about this play through some instagram post. The AYCE meat for $25 got me. This is actually my 2nd time here, and I brought my entire family for my birthday on the weekend which was $40 per person. Located within one of the busiest storefront in the Dadeland South area, there is usually problem with parking during the weekday. On the weekend though, we lucked out. RESTAURANT: It is bigger inside than I expected. With very over the top decor of gold chairs and tables and red walls, floor to ceiling bar and fancy wine curio wall, it was a lot to take in. There is also a stage. The tables were beautifully set up. Restrooms clean. The music can get loud at times. SERVICE: As this is Miami, the language barrier is always a problem. The staff seems attentive but it would often be difficult to communicate with them. For awhile our server disappeared and our water glasses stood empty. With very salty meats, water was necessary. Also, we were a few of the first ones there. The Gauchos were nice but I noticed that wen more people filled the other side, they would go and bring that side the freshly made meat, especially the octopus I had been waiting for, instead of starting with us. So by the time they got to us with the octopus, all the tentacles were gone and a only a small piece were left. They did surprised me with an awesome birthday song with props and all but I guess they can't spare a very small piece of dessert to top with a candle for me to blow because they sang to me and I just sat there looking awkward. Mind you, I had 10 people with me, so our bill was not going to be cheap. A tiny sliver of cake or even whip cream like they do at Cheesecake factory would have made a difference. They did have a live performer which I did not see during the weekday lunch. She did arrive an hour after we got there so we only enjoyed her for a few minutes. So plan your visit accordingly. FOOD: The weekday side bar included a paella type of rice and I was sooo looking forward to that during the bday weekend visit. But since it was "brunch" they had eggs instead. That was disappointing. But the weekend or dinner also have the octopus so I was looking forward to that. The sides bar were plentiful and delicious with my favorite ceviche and cheeses. They had salads, fruits, nuts, veggies and cheeses. The meat were delicious too but definitely very, very salty. My favorite were the picanha, ribeye and octopus. I recommend you try everything. The grilled honey with cheese was unexpectedly served cold but I did not mind it. Overall, the experience was not bad. Everyone was full, thirsty, but full. The price point was to be expected. The weekend price does include one glass of mimosa per person so if you're a drinker that is a good perk. Give this place a try. I am glad it's local.

Came in a night that had live music and the singer played good music. The service was one of the best so far, the waitress kept checking on us to make sure we were okay and if we needed a specific type of meat. The meats were great! They had shrimp and octopus which I've never had before at a churrascaría. For the amount you paid, this place is worth it.

Excellent service, the ambiance was great with live music and the atmosphere made us feel like we had Brazil in Miami! The team works really hard to make people feel comfortable. My favorite if I have to among everything I loved was the octopus but don't forget to visit the salad bar. Manager came by the table to ensure service was upscale!

Saw an ad on FB. Do they serve octopus as one of the meats? Not on their list but saw a video of octopus on the skewer.

From the moment we sat down, the guy looked annoyed that we were there. Zero greeting, zero eye contact. We waited almost 10 minutes just to get acknowledged while he was chatting with another customers at the other end of the bar. When he finally took our order, he barely listened. I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology. The drinks were mediocre at best, but his attitude made it worse. He ignored us most of the night and acted annoyed every time we ordered. Zero professionalism. The place has a great vibe but with service like this, is not worth to spend almost $200 dollars there for few drinks. I don't remember his name but he was tall, Latin and maybe from Colombia. We just wanted to report his behavior to management but in a Saturday's night you just don't want to ruined more. Next.

So, let's get into it: I don't know about you, but the one thing I do not enjoy doing is driving and circling around, being lost, just to find an establishment. So, I love that this restaurant is so easy to find with good signage, lots of nearby parking, both street and lots. Anywho, once I parked, the manager Judd was so friendly and kind and directed me to the table where my friend was seated. He overheard that I was kind of speaking loud over the music when I barely had a voice due to losing it from another event, so he kindly turned down the music for us. Once there, service was quick and attentive. I got a Fresh Paloma for my drink and the Seared Salmon for dinner. The drink was a good size and tasted good, no complaints there. As for the dinner, WOW. This was delicious, I would get this again. The flavors were there and the portions were just perfect (not too much and not too little, I usually never get enough or leave with leftovers). Also, not overpriced for Miami in my opinion. Aside from that, I did try some of my friend's off-menu pasta and it was really yummy. Furthermore, they have great weekly specials: (Note, subject to change. First entree came out in 10 minutes. 5-10 minutes later the second entree came (it was toasted bagels with their accompaniments on a tower... so like the easiest item ever). After waiting about 50 minutes total our final entree arrived... a breakfast pizza. So I guess don't go here if you intend to eat together? Or want hot food. No communication except at the 30 minute mark of waiting a random person came to tell us that the pizza was working. Our server abandoned us, so we never got a second round while waiting almost an hour for our food. She apparently was too busy taking the second table to walk in. No one apologized for the wait on food. None of what we ordered tasted good. I guess with cold food that's hard to judge though. My avocado toast had a full field of micro greens that covered up any other flavor it might have had. I'm sure the crowd of middle aged dinners appreciated the DJ though. Cuz this is Miami and that's how things are done. Slow, inconsiderate, and loud.

The few times we came here, we sat on the fan cooled shaded patio, which is nice but adjacent to unsightly and sometimes loud construction! Not their fault, however we were forced outside despite plenty of open tables inside. Why? Despite this, it's an upscale feel in BeAuTiFul South Miami. Staff is always cordial and the atmosphere is relaxing and easy like Sunday morning. (Today is Friday early afternoon) street metered parking. The menu has something for everyone with some unique, some healthy & some splurges. There are happy hours and specials, too. Today I had falafel salad, at an eye rolling $20! It was an enjoyable salad, regular portion but falafel was overfired and too dry. I still enjoyed it, and hubby finished the last bites. He ordered a delicious matcha and margherita pizza with added short rib. Nice big portion, was overall enjoyable but he found their thick pizza dough overpowering. Last trip I ordered the LOCO, a fantastic splurge of chicken & waffles plus a few unique touches at a bigger price point. Not a huge portion, but still I Highly recommend! I would have ordered a regular iced tea, but there are NO complimentary refills! I H8 chintzy things at an upscale establishment! Craft People: just charge a buck or two more for those wanting refills. So... *Expert tip-just ask for lemon or lime for your water carafe OR spend on a specialty drink and skip the regular tea! Our bill for two lunches and one matcha was a whopping $70. It's a splurge, but that's what you will pay in this area for a luxury table waited brunch experience. Still, Craft needs to up the game a bit when we are practically sat in a construction zone. Again, why SO MANY empty inside tables on an 89 degree day, but you make us eat in the heat near a construction zone?! Hopefully it will be rectified soon!
