    chicken dip

I was looking for a fun and yummy brunch spot in SLC on a Saturday. I know, Utah has endless options, but I wanted something unique. Luckily, I was able to snag a table at Manoli's on a Saturday right before Easter! From what I understand, I believe they only serve brunch on the weekends. Though their eggs benedict was tempting, I wanted something truly Greek-fusion, so I ordered the Manitaropita. I like how it came with a side of salad. That dish was yummy. Next time I come back, I'm going to get what my friend got, the Chicken Dip. Such a unique dish! We've all heard, seen or ate a French dip before which focuses on beef. The chicken dip puts a nice spin onto that classic and nails it. The ambiance of this place is very modern minimalist. I hope to return to even try their dinner menu.

Came here for a date night dinner & it was yummy! Love that they do a lot of small plates so you can try a lot of things and share with the table. Sleek environment on the inside & it's pretty quiet so good for conversation. Highlights were the Saganki, Potatoes, & the Orzo that came with the Souvlaki (not pictured). Service was alright, all very friendly.

Thursday night dinner. Did a couple of wine flights and I had a cocktail which were good. I enjoyed the meatballs and that was it. The shrimp was way overcooked. Almost inedible. The parsnips were meh at best. The overpriced burnt cheese with four small pieces of burnt pita was underwhelming. $146 for bad food was not worth it. Service staff were great and the bar has their act together. Go there for drinks. Skip the food.

Vegetarian polenta cakes. They come with a vegetable of the day and today's was cabbage.

This place knows how to do crispy edges! We ordered the Mizithra pancakes and the vegetarian polenta. Both were absolutely delicious! The pancakes have an orange cinnamon flavor to them with lovely crispy edges. The polenta with a fried egg on top was flavorful, unique, and again crispy edges on both the polenta and the egg. I ordered the egg over medium and it was done perfectly. Service was friendly, casual, and efficient. The restaurant was neat and clean with comfortable seating. Parking can be a bit of a beast in this area, so expect to circle around a bit and potentially walk aways in order to park.

Greek-inspired Tapas and a Surprise Starring Role by the Sun Manoli's is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've taken a quick trip to the Mediterranean--without leaving Salt Lake. The building itself is stunning, and the interior matches: bright, white, clean lines, and when the light's just right, it's like dining inside a dreamy Instagram filter. (When the light's not just right, well... we'll get to that.) We had a reservation (highly recommend for a Wednesday--it was hopping), and were seated right away. The vibe was lively but not chaotic, with a beautiful crowd and an equally beautiful menu. We kicked things off with a Bombay Sapphire martini for me and a Syrah for my other half. His wine was so good, he ended up ordering a second--always a good sign. We shared a round of small plates, including: * Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves--classic and solid) * Krytharaki (orzo with a satisfying bite) * Paidakia (Greek riblets--10/10, absolutely incredible) * Keftedes (meatballs in a cinnamon tomato sauce--spiced just right) * Pita and Olives (totally crave-worthy) Everything came out looking like it belonged in a food magazine and tasted even better. The riblets were tender and flavorful, and the meatballs had this cozy, unexpected spice that made them stand out. Truly, a fantastic lineup. Our server was kind and attentive--she made us feel welcome, even while clearly working the sunset dinner rush and managing several sizable tables like a pro. Now, about that sunset. We were sat at a two-top against the wall with a giant mirror. Lovely in theory--until the sun began to set, hit the mirror, and bounced a laser beam of light directly into my eyes. Thankfully, I had sunglasses. My partner had to bob and weave to stay in my shadow so the sun wouldn't glare at him. But it made for great conversation as we avoided it the light. Manoli's delivers a gorgeous space, warm service, and absolutely delicious food. Just beware of the spotlight-stealing sun near sunset. We'll definitely be back.

We went to Manoli's in Salt Lake City for dinner last night for the first time. Overall the food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the restaurant was small but had a high end ambience. We started with the Saganaki (cheese) which was the star of the night, and some Dolmades, which were also amazing. I had the Arketa cocktail and my husband enjoyed the Lesvos. Both were beautifuly crafted and delicious. For our entrees, I had the Garides (shrimp) which had an interesting coffee BBQ rub and I really enjoyed it. My husband got the Lavraki (branzino) and thought it was good but overpriced at $45 for the small portion. My daughter loved the Kotopoulaki (chicken wings)--they were crispy and full of flavor. Our friends got the Kavoura (red crab) and also enjoyed it. The portions are smaller so I would recommend getting a lot of different things and sharing them. This isnt your stereotypical Greek food. We'll be back to this place for date night. The bill was around $360 before tip but we did get a bottle of wine as well and had 6 people. Worth the price.

    Lamb Riblets and Orzo dish
    Grant P.

Had such a lovely dinner here yesterday and it's going to be tough to beat for meal of the year. The orzo is super creamy, almost like an enhanced Mac and cheese, and it's a must order. The lamb riblets were fantastic and the sauce that comes with it was fantastic. The charred octopus was quite good too, didn't blow me away, but the beans served with it looked interesting but were fantastic. And I don't eat kale personally but I couldn't get enough of theirs! Prices were very affordable as well. Our 2 drinks (beer and wine flight tasting) and our 4 dishes came out to $100. Very idyllic date spot or cool place to go to with friends!

Yummy food and busy environment. It looks like so many people love the food, the quality is good, worth the money

sauteed seasonal vegetable, which happened to be kale. It was actually super good.

Manoli's is one of my favorite restaurants in Utah and the charred octopus, while not particularly original is one of my favorite dishes in Utah. Yes, the octopus is perfectly charred, but the beans that come with the plate and the sauce are what make it excellent. I have also really enjoyed the lamb riblets. This last time i go the marouli salad and it was excellent as well, very tasty. The little fried cheese cubes, or whatever they were, were delicous.

Manoli's is an awesome place for date night. The menu is full of delicious options and there are many shareable small plates. My boyfriend and I got to try a large variety of dishes to share, before ordering entrees. We sat at the chef's counter and while it was cool, it felt like we were being forgotten by the wait staff most of the time, and our food ended up taking forever, which takes off 1/2 a star. The meal took a much longer time than anticipated and we were both very tired by the time we finished dinner. The food itself was very yummy, but rather oily and made me feel a little overwhelmed by the oiliness after (indigestion, etc.) and that is another 1/2 star being taken off. I did like that there were many different protein options (various kinds of seafood, lamb, beef, etc.) and all the food was very well seasoned. The prices were a bit steep but we came to celebrate a special occasion, so it felt worth it. All in all, I would come back, but only once a year or so because it was expensive and oily.

    Biscuits and gravy with eggs
    Richard M.

Service was good, staff was friendly, although they sat us at the bar when there was a perfectly good table for two available, My partner had the eggs Benedict, and the English muffin was so hard she could barely cut through it with her knife. I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs over medium. The eggs came out over hard. The inside of the biscuits was flavorful , but the outside had a very hard, brown, crispy shell. They weren't fluffy or thick, and looked kind of like hockey pucks. The gravy tasted ok. It was also a little pricey, coming in at $45+ for the 2 entrees, one coffee and one oj. The place is quite fancy looking, so I'm sure the rent for the space is not cheap.

Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Mouthwatering, deliciousness. I wouldn't have changed a thing for my first visit to Manoli's! Everything was fantastic from the moment I walked in, to the time I sat down at the Chef's Table, to the time I finished my meal. The staff was very nice and welcoming, the atmosphere felt like a fine dining establishment, but with reasonable pricing. The chefs were so amazing to watch and see how quickly they move through the kitchen and how fast paced everything happens in the background. We watched all of our food get prepared, plated and served before our eyes and it's definitely not something you see everyday. Everything we had was delicious and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu!

How is the parking? Easy or difficult?

The Asian grocery next door looks shuttered so the angled parking out front is easier than it has been. If you don't get a spot on 9th, you'll have to comb through the neighborhood. I've never found it to be an issue.

It's like dining in a sun-soaked courtyard by the sea. Yes, it's a little kitschy--but in the best way. It totally adds to the charm. I've been here a few times, and every visit's been a win. It has a true mom-and-pop vibe, the staff is always warm, and while things can slow down when it's busy, that just means everything's made fresh--and worth the wait. (I don't mind. I came to enjoy, not rush.) This round: We started with a crisp, fresh salad and their classic hummus with pita--simple, bright, and the perfect kickoff. I had the Koofteh Meatballs--jumbo Persian-style beef meatballs stuffed with apricots, simmered in a tangy tomato sauce and served with basmati rice. The meat? Tender. The sauce? A whole flavor moment. My other half went with the Bagala Polow, a slow-stewed lamb shank served on dill basmati rice with lima beans and a side of lamb au jus. That dill rice? Unexpected and so, so good. Bonus points for the community vibes: While we were dining, someone celebrated a birthday--and they shared their mango cake with the whole restaurant. Such a sweet surprise that shows the spirit of the place. Final thoughts: Decor - Slightly kitschy, totally charming. Like eating in a postcard. Food - Flavorful, fresh, and made with heart. We started with the fried cauliflower and zaatar fries, both served with an incredible dipping sauce that disappeared embarrassingly fast. The cauliflower was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and honestly good enough to order again on its own. For my meal, I ordered the shakshuka. It arrived bubbling hot in a cast iron skillet with rich tomato sauce, flavorful meatballs, perfectly baked eggs, and warm grilled pita for scooping up every last bite. I've had shakshuka before, and this was easily one of the best versions I've tasted. Every bite was comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. Spud went with a Laziz salad alongside another helping of the roasted cauliflower, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everything that came to the table looked thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and beautifully presented. What made the experience truly memorable, though, was our waitress, Omri. As a Deaf customer, it's always a pleasant surprise when someone can communicate directly in sign language. Omri signed with us, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided exceptional service from beginning to end. That personal connection meant a great deal to me, and it absolutely elevated an already wonderful meal. I was so impressed that I happily double-tipped her. Great food, warm hospitality, and an experience my son and I will both remember. We'll definitely be back.
