Rocking Mediterranean and Middle East dining with a familiar family feel. The Med looks like it has been around for decades, collecting mom's treasures from traveling to visit her homeland. The staff is going to welcome you to a comfortable table where you can chat and enjoy your meal with friends and savor each other's stories. The souvlakis, kebabs, and gyro were amazing. Try the tenderloin which is just that, tender and melt in your mouth. They have different rice served with the various entrees so pay attention to those options. We like their baba ghanooj and hummus. They have so many other things we love there too like the meatballs, stews, moussaka, pasta, and sandwiches. You can spend your time checking out the decor. So many different wall hangings and curtains. And don't miss the Egyptian sarcophagus.

When my friend learned that my only experience with eggplant was my use of the emoji in crass texts, she was shocked and pointed me to items on the menu that had eggplant in them. I had to redeem myself! I ordered the Escander Kabob, she the Turkish Shis Kabob and we both enjoyed our meals-eggplant and all. The portion sizes are generous and the flavors are delightful. I had the house dressing on my salad, which was tangy and light. The atmosphere here is also wonderful-it's sort of whimsical with water features and flowers throughout and the service is attentive, but not over the top. They offer halal options, as well as vegan dishes which I appreciate. There's truly a little something here for everyone.

What I love about so many Mediterranean places is that they usually have a plate on the menu that lets you sample a bunch of different menu items. It's kind of the "Girl Dinner" type of situation I'm always looking for - small bites of a bunch of different menu items. I got their vegetarian mediterranean platter which came with a dolma, rice and veggies, tzaziki sauce, hummus, salad, falafel, and pita bread. It was amazing! I got it to go and it was delicious, so I'm excited to come back and try this place in person. I loved the opportunity to try so many different items. It's a quaint little spot in South Salt Lake area. I'm shocked I hadn't been here before because it's right in my area. Excited to come back!

First the good: service was attentive and very good, our water was filled constantly and food came out quick enough. Service deserved 5 stars. The Prices were very reasonable. The decor is...fascinating-you just have to check it out. It's excessive but fascinating. Food ordered: Appetizer Sampler -we liked the dolmas, the pickled turnips were very pickled, baba ganoush was OK, Hummus was good, but the falafel was so hard. I could barely cut it with a knife. Black and Blue salad-the strips of chicken were nicely seasoned but very overcooked. Chicken souvlaki & gyro plate same thing - the rice was decent and the flavor good, but both meats very dry and overcooked. Again, very overcooked meat on the beef and chicken platter Kabob E Kubideh Jujeh. The marinated spice on the chicken was excellent. I loved it. It's just was so overcooked and dry it cross cancelled the flavor. Food wasn't bad, just overcooked. So maybe there are a good days and bad days here. Well, prices were right.

Sometimes you just can't go by these ratings! We were really excited to try this restaurant. We spent $70. The Dolmas were dry. The tabbouleh and falafel had no flavor. I ordered moussaka for the first time and was disappointed by the flavors. The creme sauce did not go with it and I couldn't taste the lamb. The only item I liked was the kubideh. EVERYTHING needed salt. My daughter ordered the gyro sandwich, which she really liked. Maybe they were hanging a bad night. The prices are really reasonable - that's all I can say.

Always wanted to try this place, and it's safe to say I have a new favorite restaurant in SLC! It was super cute decor, perfect for a date night. The food came out fast and fresh, like someone obviously cares about what is being made. Honestly great overall service and AMAZING Greek food.

I went back to this place after many years. Always a good experience, mainly with the vibes. Love the decor here and usually gets packed with people on weekends. Honestly the service wasn't good. Empty glass of water for a long time and that is a negative thing no matter where you go. Nobody would want the water cup to stay empty for a long time. The food, is good. They have Persian food. But if you are Persian, you know their food is not "real Persian" food!!! But still taste good. Had the shank with rice and was pretty good. The portion is big and filling. Unfortunately I don't think the meat was freshly cooked and I think the rice was overly cooked. but still it tasted good!

The Med is easy to miss if you're just driving by. It's an unassuming older building tucked back on 3300 South, but when we went for dinner on a Saturday night, it was almost full. Prices are reasonable and the menu has a lot of options. We couldn't pass up The hummus and falafel for appetizers and both were delicious. We enjoyed a salad with gyro meat and chicken souvlaki for our main courses and both were excellent. Service was quite slow (but friendly and helpful!) and we had to package up our food to go since we were hustling for a movie, so we'll plan to go earlier next time. We enjoyed checking out the very funky decor, too!

This is my go-to Mediterranean restaurant in Salt Lake. Good prices and good food. I tried the falafel sand chick with a salad. It was tasty. On a past visit I tried the yogurt pasta with goat cheese while some other people I was with really liked it, it was not my favorite. Also, as a side note, they have a good selection of wine but the house wine I am pretty's here is boxed wine so I would spend the extra few dollars and get one of the glasses of other wine. I would recommend reservations if you go into he weekend.

The food was really good I'd say. The service was also pretty decent. As far as the ambiance it does need a little redo I'd say. It's kinda confusing . We had searched Greek food and the menu says Persian. They have Egyptian decor. So it is a little confusing haha. But the food was great n I'm sure we'll be back because of that

This place has gone down so much. I'm surprised they can afford to stay open. The food was gross. Service so so.

The food was underwhelming. Tried the moussaka & polenta dish. Definitely not the best Mediterranean in SLC.

I ordered the Beef Shawarma and my wife got the Musakhen with fries. The Clam Chowder was good. I've certainly had better, like at Market Street in town or at the Brigantine in the San Diego area. The server was kind of stumbling over his words when he described it and until it arrived I wasn't sure if it was going to be New England clam chowder or Manhattan. He proclaimed that it was the best clam chowder you'll ever get at a Middle Eastern restaurant and I can't really argue about that. The Beef Shawarma is served in a wrap that is open at both ends and cut in half. They put a small portion of pickled items on the plate and dust everything with sumac powder. The beef is thinly sliced. I really didn't enjoy the flavor. The greens in the wrap were extremely bitter and in my opinion it made for an unpleasant flavor. Maybe I just got extra bitter greens on mine but it was overwhelming everything else. I didn't like that the wrap was open, I had to lean over my plate as I ate because the sauce was dripping out and I didn't want to get it on my clothes. Eventually I gave up and used my fork to pull the meat out of the other half so that I could avoid the bitterness. The Musakhen (that's how it is spelled on the menu) was also a wrap. I tried a bite and I liked that better than the beef Shawarma but I still didn't really like something about the flavor. The fries were nicely crispy and fresh but there is a seasoning on them that really wanted to be on my fingers more than it wanted to be on the fries or my napkin. Like no matter how hard I tried to wipe it off there was still some of it on my fingers. Once again there was something about the flavor I didn't really like. My wife eventually offered up some of the aioli and it made it a little better but once again I didn't really like the flavor of the aioli. So for whatever reason the flavors there just aren't for me. My wife on the other hand was very excited about everything and was talking about all the things she was going to try the next time we visited. I didn't want to be a negative bummer during the meal but I was thinking she was going to have to come back with someone other than me. The restaurant is nice and they have very good service. There were a few other tables of large groups and it seems like this is a place that works well for get togethers. Parking is not adequate at all. We got a spot but only because we got there at 4:50 for dinner. I overheard other people talking about the trouble they had finding a spot.
