We went in and the woman who works there was BEYOND helpful. First off, she came to the door when she saw me trying to bring the comforter in and she opened the door for me. She told me what machine to use and how to use it. She even said she would take care of it for us, washing and drying and we could go next door to the restaurant while it was being done. Hell ya, I'm down with that. I gave her $8 in ones for both washing and drying and we came back over an hour later and the comforter needed more time to dry so I got a chance to talk to this woman who I found out her name was Karen. I asked her "do you own this place" and she said no. I told her, you would think you do because you are so kind and so helpful. I mean beyond helpful, it's just so no 2020, it's more like 1920's helpful which is so nice during these challenging times. If you are the owner of this establishment and you read this review, please make sure you take care of your employee Karen as she is amazing. I wish I owned a business because I might steal her from you to work for me!! She is literally one in a million!

The washers are old, broken and the outsides of them appear to not have been cleaned since this place opened. The public areas are not tidy or organized. I'm so skeeved out and annoyed to have to spend any amount of time from my vacation in this dump. So vile. No attendant on site. After I loaded 6 loads of laundry (three loads of towels) into the dryers. I put about $15 in quarters into the dryers. Not one of the dryers had heat. I had to load everything into bags and go to a different laundromat to dry everything. Needless to say, I have lost half a day of vacation to this and I'm out $15. For laundry equipment enthusiasts, it was like visiting a real-life museum! But for most people just trying to do their laundry, the wild assortment of strange models wasn't as much fun. That was several years ago. Since then, new owners have transformed this wonderful laundry into something even more fabulous! Exciting, all-new, state-of-the-art equipment has been installed throughout the entire laundromat! The old Speedwash had benches and windows where you could watch the traffic go by, but the new Speedwash is modeled more like a café. Even when you don't have laundry to do, it can be a pleasant place to stop. One thing that hasn't changed is the Speedwash's excellent location. Pros: Clean, spacious and attendant was polite…read more Cons: The washers and dryers! Been going to the laundomat for years. Decided to try somewhere new. I follow the same routine all the time. The washer didn't appear to fill up with much water or dispense much, if any, detergent. I wash in cold and dry on low, always. After drying for 72 minutes the clothes were almost as wet as when they were put in. I raised the temp and left it in for 40 more minutes. Clothes were dry. When folding them I noticed spots all over our shirts and pants! I now have to pretreat, wash and dry all the laundry again at a different location. The lady next to me had spots on her clothes too! They smelt musty after being dried. I hope I can get the spots out and salvage my laundry.
