I arrived late last night. 2am maybe. I was planning on ordering food to eat. After looking at the massive selection of flavored cream cheese i asked for a bagel and heard a cough. Though nothing of it, i heard a cough again and i looked and thought i saw the person making the sandwich wiping his nose with his arm. As i was getting ready to pay i heard him cough again and i said to the counter man i just wanted the banana. We said Why? I said because a person handling my food is coughing and he did nothing to stop it. He took the banana not allowing me to purchase it and said funk me. Instead of bugging out i was a gentleman, squashed said banana back in the display area on the counter between my fingers gave him the finger and walked out. Me and my whole family favorite bagel spot. EVERYTIME my cousins come to visit they ask me to take them here to get morning bagels and iced coffee. Bagels are always warm and fresh. The ice coffee is LIFE. The hot coffee is LIFE as well. So many options to chose from. The blueberry cobbler is our favorite. The staff here are so sweet and accommodating. There was no half and half one day and one worker noticed I was looking and brought out a fresh new carton for me. Thanks ! And they have gluten free bagels for my fellow gluten intolerance folks ! To be honest, I tend to have a mediocre experience whenever I step into Manor Bagels. I live close by and it's the only deli within walking distance, unfortunately. Not only is it ridiculously overpriced, but it's extremely inconsistent as well. Almost every time I go in and order, I'm charged a different price for my food even though it's the same thing I ordered previously (ranging from $2-$3.50). The service is also incredibly slow. Sometimes I will go in and order something as simple as 2 rolls & 1/2 pound of breakfast potatoes, and I'll be in the store for 10 minutes, but it doesn't take 10 minutes to put 2 rolls in a bag & a few potatoes into a container. My final complaint: Cross-contamination!!!!!!!! Today, I bought 1/2 pound of breakfast potatoes, and there were 2 chunks of chicken in the potatoes. I no longer eat meat & haven't in almost 2 years and I gagged when I bit into it. I don't have any allergies to meat, but if someone else were to have this allergy, it could've caused serious harm to them. If you have no choice but to go here, it's always very hit or miss, so be careful and pay attention when they're preparing your food! read more

Ask for a sausage, egg and cheese on an everything egg bagel with a hashbrown- salt pepper ketchup & tell em' I sent ya'. The people that wrote hateful comments are either struggling to pay for a meal or unable to come to this establishment during daylight. There's nothing more of a cure of a long Friday night than a sandwich from Manor Bagels the next morning. Highly recommended!!!! read more

I've been buying bagels there for several years. I agree...they charge different prices regularly. They say they give you 7 bagels when you buy 6. This isn't true when the manager rings you up. I got ripped off recently ....only bought 6 bagel, a loaf of Italian bread, and a tiny sandwich of small amount of corned beef, mustard and lettuce on rye bread. total bill was $22.00+. Also the receipt the manager gave me had no breakdown of charges on each item....just the total due. For what I purchased, the total charge was outrageous!! I will never go there again. read more

To be honest I am really stunned to see negative reviews after spending the week in Staten Island for work. Every morning, I had to get breakfast for our crew and they could not have been more accommodating every morning. For four days straight, I called in an order of 25-30 breakfast sandwiches at around 7/8am. I tell you what, that sounds like a nightmare for any early morning short-order cook but damn did they come through. Not only did they crank those things out, but they also did it with a smile on their face while receiving tons of other orders. The sandwiches and bagels were great but to still be as welcoming as they were while I jammed up their grill (4 days in a row) during the busiest hour of the day is a testament to their great business. I've come here a few times. The bagels are good, the prices are reasonable. However, today I ordered two bagels. One with cream cheese, one without- my bagel with cream cheese had two hairs in it. This bagel place should probably wear hair nets and hats while prepping food, that was absolutely disgusting. And so when I got home and opened up the packages he had given me a dozen everything and half a dozen sesame. So I called and the guy laughed at me he said that it doesn't matter, it's only bagels. I guess they don't really care. So be very careful of what you order and what you get. Now another thing when they checked me out the guy didn't say thank you he didn't say have a nice day he just shoved the two bags at me. Not a nice group there. For a while, there bagels were really good. However I've always noticed that they are inconsistent with their bagels. Some days their bagels would be plump and and some days they wouldn't be. They would always forget things or mess up my order and I didn't appreciate that. One time I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with ketchup, however there was no ketchup. And then I ordered a blt with and egg and there was no egg even though I paid extra for the egg. Then other times they would just put it on the wrong bagel even though I did specify. But the worst of all, I found a dead fly in my bagel! (You can see that in the photos) I am disgusted and will not be returning. read more

This is the spot. If i'm going to get a bacon egg and cheese or any deli type sandwich of that matter I go straight here. Even if it's out of my way... Why? Because the people behind the counter making the sandwiches put all of their heart and soul into one. They are super duper nice and they never get my order wrong...unlike most delis! The worst place ever! They are bigot and bluntly racist! I was patronizing this store years ago and I kept a good image of the service that was friendly and welcoming. I decided to treat my co-workers with bagels a week ago and chose that store despite other stores being close to me and my job. The shorthand Latino cook ignored me, was dismissive, and rude to me when I ask to be attended to after standing at the order counter for a while. He raised his voice at me for not choosing the bagels at his pace. The men in charge of the register tried to attend to the White man behind me in the line when he could clearly see that I was first in the line. The White man was honest enough to signal that I was first. The man at the counter curtly attended to me, rudely pack the bags, and dishonestly kept my change when I was overwhelmed with emotions and the two bags to carry. Leaving the store, I understood that it has been too long since I patronized them and that I have overstayed my welcome. I have better ways to spend my money and I know better business people who deserve it! read more

I have been coming here for years with no issues, now they have new people working here for the past few months and there is nothing but total CHAOS, no system no order, people waiting all over and. What was the bael line and cashier I find is just the cashier and I was told to wait on another line by the deli that had no one on it when I walked in, I wasn't waiting on a second line due to there incompetence and lack of management. So after going here since 1994 I have to say stay away and get your bagels from another store where you will be treated better. Its you money you deserve it. read more

Last time, I got 3 rainbow bagels and 1 pumpernickel bagel (nothing on them) and the grumpy owner or manager decided this time rainbow bagels would be double regular bagels... $2 each so he made the counter person charge $7.
