This practice was taken over Dr Spiegalman after the previous owners retired. HOWEVER, this is not the same practice. No on ever anwers the phone. You have to deal with the "virtual assistant" for about 5 minutes before have the option to speak with a human. The office staff did not provide consistent or timely communication throughout my experience. When I scheduled my appointment, I was quoted one price for the services. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the cost would be more than $300 higher than originally discussed. When I asked for clarification regarding the discrepancy, no one in the office could identify who provided the original quote, despite there being only a small front office staff. I would strongly recommend requesting a written estimate before scheduling treatment to avoid unexpected charges or misunderstandings. Unfortunately, my interaction with the dentist was also disappointing. Rather than addressing concerns professionally, he was argumentative and made negative comments about the practices of the previous owners. As a new provider receiving referrals from the former practice, it would be beneficial to approach prospective patients with greater professionalism, patience, and attentiveness. It is truly unfortunate to see what was once a highly regarded practice decline in this manner. read more

I like this dentist but today I had a cleaning done and the dentist said they aren't allowed to use the electric polisher due to covid. It was a 20 min cleaning. My other dentist uses the electric polisher but not the electric plaque remover. This dentist used the electric plaque remover but not the electric polisher. Anyone have any thoughts? read more

This is really a star-0...I have left several messages with the Office Manager, Ms. Solis and emailed Mrs. Gutierrez to answer questions mentioned below. I am disappointed in the lack of communication, first off. Never contacted me... We have been forced to seek other treatment for Ortho because of the following reasons: -We were told that Mrs. Gutierrez was the General Dentist and Mr. Gutierrez Sr. (spouse) was an Orthodontist at initial visit to discuss braces; he's not -Lack of communication of treatment plan -Braces put on too soon -Fraction of tooth left in gums after extraction -Mr. Gutierrez - poor customer service (not kid-friendly) see, there's no photos of him above -Brackets falling off -Not sure if prescriptions were done for brackets (not communicated) -Incoming tooth trapped and cannot come in due to wire of braces in the way -No brackets on some teeth (no explanation) -No band changes at visits -Last few visits nothing has been done We have sought other opinion and the opinion of other Orthodontist is that, "Braces have to be removed and we have to start this process over. Braces were put on too soon because all baby teeth still coming in and structure of jawline still maturing" Side-note-while we in the new Ortho office, they stated several of their patients have come to them complaining about the service they received from Manor Dental; one the day before we were there. This has caused emotional distress for my daughter and tons on money we will have to pay out of pocket because of the damage that has been done. These guys told us that her braces would be off by 8th grade (she is now in 8th grade) and we could start adding in her implants and/or bridges (before high-school) and now this is not happening. Manager nor dentist have contacted me so.....The Texas State Board of Dentistry it is.....Just because people have titles behind their name doesn't mean they're honest or take pride in ethics or the Hippocratic Oath of Dentistry. Manor dental is great! The Drs are nice and do great work, but what I like most about them is that they do not recommend unnecessary work. My dentist puts "watches" on suspect teeth rather than going in with a painful procedure at any dark spot on the X-Ray. The dentists themselves usually do the cleaning rather than a dental assistant. No Friday afternoon appointments, and while I find this inconvenient with my schedule, I like them so much I make other arrangements! They do cosmetic dentistry, but they don't give it the hard sell. read more

Now this is a dentist you can really trust to do an excellent job. He's done an excellent job with my daughter's braces. The veneers I got on my front teeth are so good looking, now I can smile again. Plus, you don't feel it when he uses the needle. read more

Best Dentist in the Austin area! I hated dentists till I came here, I had a huge amount of work to get done and every time a dentist touched my teeth before it caused great pain. That lead to a long term aversion to the dentist. Juan took such great care of me I was literally passing out in the chair while they were doing work with no pain at all! I visited this dentist office on a couple occasions. The service was great. The staff was nice and friendly. The dentist explained everything that he was doing and/or going to do. I got a full break down of what my cost would be before the procedures were rendered. Recently I was having really bad tooth pain. So I called them to make an appointment, I was told that the earliest appointment available was 4 weeks away. I considered this an emergency, I couldn't eat, sleep, think, etc. with this tooth pain. I asked if they could give me some med's to help relieve the pain until my appointment and was told that they could not until I have been seen by the dentist. At that point, I took my business elsewhere. And was seen immediately. This office is NOT for emergency treatment. I did notice that appointment availability is limited. They are not very accommodating for folks with busy schedules. You have to work around their availability. So if you are in no hurry or have a very flexible schedule this office may be the one for you. read more

0 Stars for this place. I paid $4,160 for a 4 unit bridge, that fractured as it was being pushed onto my teeth. Then I went on 12/04/18 to have it replaced. But little did I know they permanently glued a completely different shaped bridge from the first set. I understand a bit of modification had to be done to the back where the first set fractured. But for it to be completely different shaped teeth than what I had agreed on is outrageous. He not only started drilling on my teeth without numbing my mouth. When I told him it was hurting due to the heat of the drilling, he said I'm not even to the metal yet. Mind you I had no numbing gel or any numbing medication injected into my gums. After getting home and noticing a completely different shaped bridge, I called him immediately. I asked why he didn't inform me that it was a completely different shaped bridge. He replied you didn't ask for a mirror. Then he says he doesn't understand what I'm talking about and to make an appointment. So today 12/19/18 4pm he tells me if I want the bridge that I had agreed on the first time and paid 4,160 for... I would have to pay the lab fee of $868 But I already paid!!! not my fault the bridge he had made the first time broke upon being glued to my teeth. So disappointed I paid over 4,000 for a bridge I didn't not agree on. Expensive lesson, ask for a mirror next time. Because you never know what's being permanently glued onto you. Didn't think I had to ask for freaking mirror, if Juan Carlos Gutierrez had informed me it was different than what I had agreed and paid for, I would have ask for freaking mirror. But I was under the assumption it was the same shaped bridge I had agreed and paid $4,160!!!! your $$$$ and skip this so called business. UPDATE: On 12/29/18 the bridge falls off. So much for it being permanent. Time to report Juan Carlos Gutierrez to the dental board. Wasted time, energy, and money. read more

My 13 yr old daughter has been coming here for two years (for her braces, which is quite frequently) and I hate to report that the customer service from the male dentist is horrible. Each visit he seems bothered to answer questions and perform routine duties of a visit when requested. I've attempted to refrain from this review update, but after numerous visits it has not improved. He comes off as irritable, cold and unenthusiastic, which I can't understand since getting my business is literally thousands of dollars of work. Maybe he prefers not to work with kids, but whatever it is his attitude stinks and we will be switching dentist offices solely because of his aurora. Would love to support my local office, but his customer service is ridiculous. read more

The dentists are skilled and compassionate. The office staff is wonderful. We are taken care of quickly. They are affordable. Had my first visit and felt very very comfortable and answered all my questions. Makes me even happier that all three of the dentist give you the same exact feeling of being welcome as a first time pt. Worst experience ever. They don't clean your teeth properly with my daughter. Are they not suppose to use the pick and then floss. They didn't do any of that. Then they want to force you to have periodontal work and explained that at this time I just want my teeth cleaned and they wouldn't do it. I called in to make an appointment and the receptionist sounded so rude! I asked her if they take my insurance she said yes. I gave her all my information and said she will call me back. She called me back and told me that I don't have insurance/coverage. I told her was going to call her back. Just to verify I contacted my insurance company, I was current and I do have coverage. This makes me think that the receptionist didn't even check my availability. Thank you for nothing. I'm glad I didn't go here this makes me think they do everything wrong. read more

Just came back from a professional cleaning, a filling and a general checkup, I am very satisfied, the staff was really friendly and helpful, Dr Juan is really kind and takes good care of you, he was very punctual and efficient, he and his assistant did the cleanup and filling (along with x-ray and all the proper pre-checks) in less than 40 minutes, I had no pain at all and the work was very well done. I highly recommend it. I will come back here. read more
