Dr Patel is great. I love his chairside manner, he is personal and takes time to explain things. His front office has opportunity for improvement They do not call to remind you to set up an appointment. They don't greet you when you arrive. They don't keep up with what my insurance company will pay vs the services rendered. (The number of x-rays exceeded what my insurance covers.) I got a bill today for $39.00 and I haven't been there in 9 months. I have sent them emails - and there is no response. It falls into a black hole. I love the dentist but the management of the office is less than I expect which brings the whole experience down. read more

Wonderful! From scheduling to check-out, everyone at this practice is friendly and kind. I was due for my cleaning and I had some concerns about sensitivity and a possible need for further dental work (root canal, fillings) from a previous dentist. I've had sensitivity when eating/drinking hot and cold foods for months now, so I was naturally nervous about the visit. My hygienist Kenya was friendly and thorough and she took my concerns about sensitivity very seriously - it was maybe the gentlest cleaning I've ever had! She had great advice for prevention and ongoing care. I was offered a fluoride treatment and it was explained upfront that it was optional and would cost $15. I only saw Dr. Patel briefly but he was very friendly and listened to my concerns. I will be going back next week for some follow up and feel confident that I will be well taken care of by everyone. read more

do not go here. They try to get x-rays every time you go there that's every 6 months and insurance will only pay for once a year. I've had my two year old go there and they "accidentally" build for something they did not do. They said they were doing a cleaning on my two year old and never did. I had to do the leg work and call my insurance. Lastly, they wanted to do x-rays while I was pregnant. My wishes were not to get X-rays and they would not see me, even for a cleaning. After a year, I went to another dentist and they took an x-ray and they said I didn't have any cavities. They double checked it and told me me I didn't have cavities. I am very happy I found Dr Patel and Heritage Dental. I went into the consultation very nervous as I knew there would be a lot of work needed for my teeth. But Dr.Patel put me at ease very quickly. I have been going there ever since and I am very very pleased with the service, the facility and the staff. Dr. Patel is very patient with all my questions every single time and explained me the why/what/how s for every treatment I had to take. He recommends services that are only absolutely necessary. The staff are very friendly and my favorite of them all is Nagwan. She is very sweet, kind and always greets me with a big smile. So I have been procrastinating getting to the dentist for a while, and Naomi caught me in the parking lot of HEB to tell me about this new office. I made an appointment, showed up and was very impressed! They is IMMACULATE in this office! Everything is sooooo clean. Bathrooms, treatment rooms, lobby! Dr. Patel is by far the best dentist that I've ever had. They try and do everything the can to make sure you get what you need. They don't try to underhand you by doing extra and charging you more. Dr. Patel is patient, and very explanatory. Any questions that you have he is more than willing to explain until you understand, in a way you will understand. This is by far the best dental experience I have ever had!! The dental assistants are phenomenal! They do everything they can to make you as comfortable as possible. Every room has a cable TV, patients are offered the remote and can control the channel and volume. I love that all the staff make it their business to get to know you as a person. This is not a review on the actual dental work performed at the facility. Rather, I was turned away from this business by the ease of working with them. I called and requested a dental cleaning, but the receptionist made it such a complicated process. She said that she could schedule me for a regular cleaning, which I said okay great. But she also said, if it is determiend that you need a deep clean after your exam, we can't do it tomorrow. Understandably so considering it's a longer appointment. I asked if they could still do a regular cleaning and then they could schedule a deep clean later and she told me that they couldn't do that. Makes zero sense. Why couldn't you just do a regular cleaning and then I could return for a dental cleaning when time permits?? Additionally, she wanted my policy number on dental insurance. The dental offices I've been to in the past are able to pull that information up using my SSN and name, but she was in no hurry to get that information and work with me. She seemed bored and in a hurry to get me off the phone. Well, I gave up sensing that she wasn't interested in working with me and recognized that if this is how I'm going to be treated BEFORE I'm a patient, it can only get worse from there. So I called another dental office, who were willing to do a regular cleaning, knew my insurance plan from my employer's name and got me in on Monday morning and worked with me to get me a cleaning that I want.
