Having said that, this was my LAST stop on the Cocktail Challenge, and I enjoyed my drink on a humid day and, if I'm being honest, lived my Dockside Lemonade the best of all the drinks on the challenge. The coconut rice was old, dried out, and smeared onto the plate. All of this was nearly cold when I got it, like it had been sitting out for a long time. Then the coleslaw side was about 2-3 tablespoons worth in a plastic dressing cup. It was such a mistake to order. I get it, it's on the beach and convenient, and the waitstaff was polite enough, but if you have a health condition where you need to avoid fried food, I'd go somewhere else. It definitely left me feeling taken advantage of.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem! Its location is very unassuming, with a no-frills look, but the food is absolutely fantastic. The burgers are large and delicious. I had the Sandshakers burger and it was flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I tried the homemade raisin bread pudding for dessert and that was a homerun. The cocktails are well made. I tried a strawberry margarita and the homemade red sangria - both were great. Don't let the no-frills atmosphere deter you - it's a great spot for lunch or dinner with fabulous food. read more
