This is my 2nd time using the services of Manos Electric. This time the project was rather involved since my "older" house was built with aluminum wiring. Consequently, all light switches and outlets were replaced with new ones and connectors (designed for aluminum wiring) were used. Other power connections (done after the house was built) were reviewed and action taken as needed. I was extremely pleased with the work, reliability and concern for quality I got from Manos Electric. I was forced to replace the original 65 year old interior breaker subpanels in my apartments due to new insurance requirements. Nick the owner of Manos Electric and two of his technicians, Art and Ben, replaced the subpanels with minimal downtime for the tenants and minimal demolition of the surrounding walls such that only a small amount of patching and painting was necessary. The new subpanels are larger than the old ones so Art and Ben were careful to cut only to the size of the new panels. They were also careful to maintain a safety zone around their work areas and using extension cords they also took steps to keep refigerators running during the process. Dana who runs the office is very professional, responsive and if not readily available to answer your call, will always call you back or have Nick get a hold of you as necessary. I had received several quotes for this work and Manos Electric was very reasonable. Some quotes were extremely high, but Nike and his team have many years of experience and are able to estimate very close to only what is needed and give you a fair price. We set up an appointment for the very next day. Easy peasy! Nick came to my house at 10:00 am - completely professional. Wore booties without being asked to and completed a visual evaluation. I have an old house. The previous owner was a DIY guy and the electrical was a hot mess. Nick took a look at everything that he could see and provided me with advice and sound suggestions. All his suggestions were based on making sure my house was safe - which is a priority. Nick did NOT try to upsell me. He was completely honest about what he felt would be best for my family. I have been told by other electricians that I needed a complete updated electrical panel that would cost me over $1,000. Nick suggested that I have his company complete a "tools on inspection" to see if I really needed a complete upgrade or if the panel just needed to be cleaned up and empty circuit breaker covers installed. He provided me with a rough estimate for some work in the backyard (removal of old ceiling fans and capping of electricity in the backyard) and for the "tools on inspection" of the electrical panel....and it didn't cost me over $1,000. That same day at 1:00, David and Josue came and completed the job in no time at all. They were efficient and very respectful. In the end, the job ended up costing less that the original estimate! Update: Manos Electric finally contacted us and installed the 3 bathroom exhaust fans. They were very professional, did a great job and charged a fair price. I am glad we used them and would highly recommend them. We understand that a company may be busy or understaffed now; however, even if they would have responded that they couldn't get to us immediately that would have been fine, but no communication for two weeks was not good. The end result was very good and we are very pleased. We contacted Manos Electric, based on the great reviews on Anaheim Hills Buzz, to give us a quote to replace 3 bathroom exhaust fans and to give a date when the work could be done. We were promised a quote by the next afternoon. It has now been approximately 10 days later and we have not heard another word from them. Nick (owner) and Jake (apprentice electrician) came to my home today and did a stellar job with repairing our electrical outlets. I had a faulty ground wire in an important outlet in my home. After days of trying to troubleshoot it myself, I finally called the experts. Nick was able to quickly troubleshoot and discover a BURIED junction box in our plaster wall, behind our kitchen cabinet--he has an electrical ninja-like 6th-sense! I couldn't believe it. Using ONE HAND (due to cramped cabinet space), he did a precision cut down in our back kitchen cabinet and plaster wall to discover the buried junction box, fixed the ground connection, and properly closed the junction box with a small cover--a cosmetic result that a plastic surgeon would be proud of! I'm sure other electricians would have torn up way more wall to figure this out, or not figured it out at all. Very impressive. Nick and Jake went on to replace 3 additional outdoor GFCI outlets / boxes that were in bad need of repair, as well. Also thanks to Jake for thoroughly going into our very dusty attic. Nick is a very nice guy but I think he is overwhelmed. He may do great work. I will never know because he doesn't call back. The worst! I asked him for a quote, he said that it would be about 3 or 4 weeks before he could consider starting the work. I was okay with that, but I did want to confirm that someone was going to start the work. (By the way, this is a lucrative job! About $20,000 for total rewire of an old home.) He offered to give me a quote, came out to the property and took pictures, measurements, and so forth. He said he would get back to me in about a week with the numbers. I have heard nothing weeks later. I called a bunch of times and left messages asking for an update: no return call. If he can't do it, he should let me know! This is business, not Tindr. You don't "ghost" potential customers! If you can't do the work, call and say so. The work is now underway by a different, and this time prompt, professional electrician. ------ I'm sorry, someone asked me who I do recommend but I can't find the question so I'll add to the review. I had a lighting fixture that had not worked for over a year. Nick explained what needed to be done to fix it, and when I said I wasn't really happy with the fixture and asked for suggestions for new fixtures for the room (which is an enclosed patio situation and difficult because there is no attic area over the ceiling), he suggested LED wafer lights.
