I was referred to Fullerton Electric (FE) by a friend that works at Southern California Edison as the "go-to electrician" in my area. I wasn't disappointed. I interviewed 4 other electricians prior to talking with FE and not only was FEs bid the lowest, my city inspector was so impressed by their craftsmanship (shoutout to Pete), they told me there was no reason to come back for a second/final inspection (normally required). The work I had completed was (1) replaced a 125A panel with a 200A panel, (2) ran 2-50A circuits to a spa and generator port and 1-20A, 120V outdoor GCFI plug and (3) final spa wiring upon delivery. The work FE performed also consisted of sawing and removing a 6ft x 6in section of concrete to locate spa circuitry. FEs office (Cecila) was good about keeping me informed on their plans and scheduling, Don Sr. was instrumental in helping me answer technical questions...including going above and beyond to help me find a hard to find, specific sub panel GCFI breakers. At our residence in Anaheim Hills yesterday, only our recently upgraded stove top counter and associated outlets stopped working! Pete is a nice person while answering all of our questions. He is an easy going pro that smiles. He ran 2 new circuits from the panel box on the north side of the house to the garage on the south side of the house. This was to take off too large of an electrical load on one circuit. He made one duplex circuit for our tankless water heater and one double duplex for my computer bench testing and other future appliance hookups. He worked all day under the house and outside - 7 hours until finished. The work looked good and our family feels much relief not having a chance of a fire with an overloaded system. I hired Don Jr and his crew to trace circuits that were supposed to be on an emergency panel but were not. He not only found them but also pulled those circuits to the emergency panel. The person that answered the phone sounded like they were asleep and then they mocked my wife for asking for emergency help. My power was out in the back part of the home. We called Fullerton Electric. An electrician came out. He seemed like he had no idea of what to do. He removed the cover on all the electrical outlets. After an hour and a half I asked about possible charges. He said first hour $79 each addition hour $69. He finally figured out how to help us and repair the problem. After 1 and 1/2 hour he presented us with An invoice of $265. Which is higher per hour than he quoted. When he left after I paid, I saw outlets that were left exposed. That is not professional. I do not recommend this company. He charged me $100 more than what he said!!! read more

I have previously worked with this company and been very happy. Unfortunately, something is up. Not very good customer service anymore. I'm recently hired them for a residential job. I explained my timeline and the importance of staying on a timeframe so I can move in and enjoy Christmas. I met with the owner Don for the quote. They weren't the cheapest, but I know they do a good job, so I hired them on the spot. Don pulled the permit that day. Fast forward to now. The job isn't complete as promised. The wall in the living room that they broke could have been repaired better. I am beyond disappointed in the lack of professionalism, lack in quality of work, and lack of respect toward me from the owner of Fullerton Electric (Don Holley) when I attempted to have what was damaged by one of their electricians. I had work done in May 2016. The work was shoddy, to say the least. The electrician left pry marks in my wall where he did his terrible work to install new outlets. I have literal holes in the wall because he was too forceful in putting the outlets into the pre existing junction box. Then, he installed 2 faulty GFCI outlets that never worked. The electrician was also on the phone the entire time with his wife, standing around, on my dime! Additionally, he rounded up a half hour of work to 2 hours, then told me he had to come back another day because he had to take his kid to jujitsu practice. Each time he arrived, it was late in the afternoon because they were too busy to book me at a reasonable time. Mind you, I was a paying customer who was trying to get the work done on my newly purchased home prior to my move in. Fullerton Electric charged me an exorbitant amount for the labor and parts. It was outrageous considering the time wasted by the electrician Pete while he was supposed to be doing repairs. It was also outrageous considering I was provided with shoddy, cheap parts that they marked up over 200%. Since May, I have asked for the company to remedy the holes punched into my walls, the fact that 4 GFCI outlets are not properly installed, and that I was charged for 4 regular outlets that were never replaced. Every time they scheduled an appointment for repairs with me, they had to reschedule. 3 months of them putting things off. This company is poorly run and they allow their electricians to take advantage of residential customers and over charge them for labor and parts. To make matters even worse, Don Holley cancelled on me again for the 7th consecutive time yesterday. The owner came to my house with an excuse, and than asked to see what needed to be repaired again. Mind you, I had just gotten out of the shower and he arrived unannounced. So, I showed him again for the 3rd time what needed to be repaired. I showed him the GFCI outlets that were mounted outside of the junction box and had a huge gap, along with the wall damage caused by the electrician. I also showed him the outlets that were never replaced but I was charged for. I also showed him the sun bleached box of a GFCI outlet that was left in my window sill instead of being replaced (I have had the curtains drawn because of the summer sun and didn't realize the outlet was on the high window sill instead of being installed). I also told him that one of the outlets still does not work. Now, I got a phone call this morning from Don Holley after he stated he would send his "best electrician" over to fix the mistakes yesterday. He left a long babbling message that ended with him stating that "he would no longer do business with me". Are you kidding me?!!!?!!!?!! I have been beyond patient. I am the one that was taken advantage of here!!!! PLEASE: Take my advice and go elsewhere with your business. That is what I have been telling all of my friends in the local area to do, and what I will continue to do. Fullerton Electric is not reliable, honest, nor are they dependable. I was flat out taken advantage of. UPDATE: a chandelier and 3 GFI outlets that this company installed now do not work. I had to hire another company to fix the mistakes. It cost me $500. NEGATIVE STARS...DO NOT USE THEM!!! Don is the owner and is the person who does all the scheduling. Pete is the electrician who goes out to the house to do the legwork. He gets instruction from Don about the appointments. We had some electrical problems in our house. Pete came out on a Fri at 7 am. It took him about 2 hrs with a lot of tinkering around to figure it out. He said the cause of our problems was from a ceiling fan that was installed incorrectly. Since we had to go to work, we told him we'd call him back to arrange another time for him to come out and resolve it. It's $140 for the first hour, and $75 for each subsequent hour. Don (the owner) assured us this would take less than an hour to fix the issue the next time they came out and would only charge us $75. Pete was supposed to come back out the next day (Sat), which he did not show up. We left a message with Don and he said he would call us back to let us know what time Pete would be by that day. No call for the rest of the day. We called at the end of the day, and he finally called back saying Pete could not come. That was completely fine, I just wish he were upfront about it from the beginning of the day. He must have known how many projects were going on for the day. Finally, on Wed Pete was supposed to come out at 7 am. He did not show up until 7:40 am because Don completely forgot about our appointment, even though we had arranged it just the day before. Don did not apologize for the tardiness or for forgetting our appointment. Pete spent 30 minutes tinkering around and realized his diagnosis was WRONG. He realized the problem actually lay elsewhere, and spent a total of an hour and 10 minutes to fix the problem. At completion of the project, Don wanted to charge us for an hr and 30 minutes!! When we politely questioned the pricing he got defensive and began berating us. It was awful!!! He refused to acknowledge that THEY made the mistake in their original diagnosis and wanted us to pay for the time Pete spent re-diagnosing the issue! Pete is very polite and nice, however, Don is not someone I'd refer business to. At the rates they charge I expect competence, responsiveness, and promptness, instead, I got the complete opposite! read more

He was so sweet and I remember him from a while ago and liked the service and how thorough they were in explaining to me my situation. Tony was then put in charge of my account and kept me updated with my situation since I was going through home warranty which I might say they sent me an extremely shady electrician who was trying to not use permits. I wish I could give the Customer Service and Attitude of Mr. Holly a 0. I currently rent & had some flickering lights in the kitchen that needed to be serviced. My landlord said I would be getting a call from the Electrician to schedule the Appointment directly. I received a call around 12pm that I wasn't able to catch as I was at work. My car was in the shop so my husband and daughter picked me up at 5:30pm and we had a busy afternoon getting my car from the shop, making dinner...etc and I didn't get a chance to call Mr. Holly back. The next morning was Friday and my husband's birthday. I missed Mr. Holly's 2nd call at 7:30am and didn't get a chance to call him back until 9am. I proceeded to go through the motions of scheduling the inspection the following Monday, since we were not going to be home for my Husband's birthday and no one could let him in. I said my goodbyes and then Mr. Holly started lecturing me about when someone leaves you a message you need to call them back! I couldn't believe it! He must have thought I was a young girl since I sound like I'm 12 on the phone, but I'm in fact a 29 year old woman and he was reprimanding me like he was my father! I tried to tell him that I had a busy day the day before and was sorry it took less than 24 hours for me to call him back, and he cut me off and said he was going to tell my landlord he didn't need the business and to find someone else. This guy obviously has no respect for women and no respect for anyone that isn't going to make him lots of money. I suggest if you don't have a big job, don't call this rude man. IF you have to use this company, have your husband call, I'm sure he would not have spoken to my husband that way. read more
