    BURRATA CHAT

Very yummy Nepalese food. Ordered the Burrata chaat, artichoke hearts and gun powder shrimp and scallops. Each dish was unique and tasty. My favorite was the chaat. Must order! Restaurant was spacious and fairly quiet even with the tv on. Servers were friendly.

I'm not sure if I was just hungry after walking around the Colorado History Museum until closing, but this restaurant was conveniently located a few feet away, and I loved the food so much! I got a chicken tikka masala and a mango lassi. I sat at the bar since I had gone there solo. The chicken tikka masala was so creamy and it was so delicious. The servers were really friendly as well.

Amazing Indian food, some of the best I've had recently!! Excellent and quick service. I loved the vibes of the restaurant. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Spice levels were accurate. Couldn't go wrong with this menu!!

What a lovely lunch! Service was friendly and the food was delicious! I had a delightful mango lasse, vegetable bryani and coconut chicken. Oh, and the avacado behn was such a yummy surprise!

Found a nice Indian restaurant in Denver. Food was tasty with good portions. Loved the grilled artichoke sizzler and the veggie chow mein. Both were tasty, hot and perfect size. Service was polite and professional. The ambience is classic decor for a Nepali/Indian place. Would definitely return when I am back in the area

It's been so long since I've been in love. I thought perhaps by cynicism has killed my heart and palate. However... my new Mantra is... Mantra cafe. The food makes my palate want to break out in song. They presented very tantalizing flavors and well executed cooking. Service was excellent also. I will be back soon. Some positives: Drink menu was extremely reasonably priced. We did mix of cocktails and beer. Great service. I forgot to write down my favorite dishes though. Will have to update my review next time

Gluten-free naan - tasty, but lacked structural integrity

I was not expecting much despite the high rating because (a) there were not many reviews and (b) it was a sponsored result, which always makes me suspicious... happily, this lived up to its rating. The restaurant looks nice inside, service was good, and most importantly, the food was good. It's a great place to have lunch or dinner if you've been visiting the art museum.

I like the decor, the restaurant is inviting and feels comfortable. We ate dinner on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people but we were still seated right away since they had ample seating. Our waitress was very good, friendly and observant catering to us. Good options on the menu and they give very big portions so we were both full and had take home for another meal. My biryani was very good and my friends veggie stew was also very tasty, the broth was thicker so you could really taste every mouthful. We also got samosas for appetizers which was well made. We ordered strawberry daiquiris and they were well presented but tasted watered down so that was probably our least favorite part of the meal. But overall great experience and I'll be back.

Great option when I'm craving comfort food. I know they say tikka masala isn't "authentic" Indian, but regardless, it's delicious - and theirs is superb. The flavor is rich, the chicken is cooked perfectly with no weird bites, and the pieces are cut to size so every bite is enjoyable. The garlic cilantro naan is probably the fluffiest naan I've ever had and delicious. I usually order spicy and went with hot this time, but honestly wish I'd gone for the highest level. They also had a great bogo deal on DoorDash. I'll definitely be ordering again- everything hit the spot and nothing was lacking.

I have mixed reviews after my visit to Mantra Cafe tonight. First off, the chicken masala flavoring was excellent! It was just the right level of spice and depth of flavor. That dish alone was the highlight. Now to the drawbacks. My cheesy naan had two issues: it was slightly burnt, which affected the taste, and the amount of cheese was minimal to non-existent. The portion size was also disappointing for the price. For $18, I received about 10 medium size chunks of chicken, which felt light, especially coming from Houston where portions tend to be more generous. Overall, while the masala dish was delicious, the portion size may impact whether I return, particularly since there's another Indian restaurant nearby with similar flavors and pricing but significantly larger servings.

Food was very good and fresh. Only complaint is that you didn't get the option to increase spiciness in some of the dishes. They were good, but definitely would've preferred a little more heat with some of the plates. The artichoke grilled hearts were outstanding!

I was in Capitol Hill and was craving some Indian food and randomly stumbled upon this gem during their grand opening!!! There's plenty of great seating inside, but also outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo while my friend ordered the Chicken Naan Tikka Taco, and we split an order of Garlic Naan. Everything was DELICIOUS! My server was so helpful and an angel. I'm looking forward to coming back and am rooting for the success of this awesome restaurant!

We also got two complimentary dishes from another server/food runner who was the freaking sweetest. The smoked burrata was delicious, especially with all the toppings it came with. The sea bass completely surprised me, in the best way. Sweet, spicy, savory, crunchy, with so many different textures and flavors happening at once. The lamb skewers were another favorite. The meat was thinly sliced and secured on the skewer, which made every bite incredibly tender. They were just bomb overall! And from that point on, from first taste, I knew my experience would be exceptional. The service was attentive without being overly attentive, and the chef's were so kind, answering every one of my weird questions about what they were preparing or ingredients that I noticed. I ordered the smoked burrata to start. The balance between the candied pistachio, artichoke pesto, and wagyu cecina really created a well balanced and unexpected dish. The burrata was creamy and the salty and sweet components balanced the aged sherry gastrique and made for an incredible intro to a beautiful performance by the chefs. Next was another small dish, which I wish I remembered the description for (I need to bring a little notebook with me), but it was a perfect segue into the next course, the ibérico presa. Wow. Just wow. White asparagus has got to be one of my favorite vegetables next to artichokes, when done exceptionally well, as they most definitely were. The piquillo peppers and pickled shallots complemented the pork, which was so soft, perfectly. I definitely died and went to heaven at this point in the meal. This is probably when I should've stopped eating because after this point, still pure delight, but my poor stomach was soooooo full. Next was another small bite to lead into my next course, also incredible. Wish I could describe it. My next course was the European sea bass. Now, sea bass is my favorite fish of all time. The perfectly crisp skin, the red onion jam, the spicy sweet balance was perfection. I loved every bite. The olive oil potatoes were a perfect complement. And at this point, I was bursting at the seems... but I still ordered dessert, because you only live once and food is one of the great joys of life. For dessert, I had the crema. The honeycomb on top, the cherries, all leading to a perfect finish. A time was had. Thanks El Five

The kitchen, 18-seat dining area and foyer are all one open, neo-industrial space in which concrete and steel are somewhat softened by lighting and splashes of color from food or dishware. They have two groups of seating per evening, one around 5pm and the other at 8pm, which they stagger into 3 groups each so food can be batched and presented appropriately. Everything is thoughtfully curated and choreographed, from the beverage selection to the portions of the plating that you get to see between courses. But the choreography does feel a bit stiff and cold at times. While the maitre'd was lovely, it was harder to engage with the other staff. I generally avoid alcohol pairings (my taste buds get overstimulated after the first few rounds), but I did enjoy my cocktail from the a la carte menu. Through our 7 course tasting menu, we explored a fun fusion of local and Central American cuisines. The bread mentioned in previous reviews is gone, but we traveled from ocean, plains, and forest in various presentations of small plates. Some of the bites seemed less inspired (of course adding pate and caviar is going to feel fancy), but other courses like the red snapper ceviche and chocolate + papaya dessert were playful, tart, and funky. You can tell that sustainability is also a huge part of the consciousness here. Be open minded to different flavor and texture profiles and know that not every dish is meant to please everyone. We ended our meal with a copy of the evening's menu as well as a satchet of house-made spices meant to evoke the essence of this Costa Rican fusion. I appreciated the effort that went into each course's preparation, but I don't know that I would pay for another experience even with a different menu.
