I had such a wonderful top-notch experience coming in by myself for lunch one day. I got a chicken Shawarma bowl and baklava. I love this location right on the corner of 15th St. and Champa Street and the aesthetic inside. The restaurant was absolutely spotless and tidy clean. It's plenty of seating in an area space with lots of natural lighting. The food ingredients were good quality and tasty and I really really enjoyed the baklava. I think the man working behind the counter may have been the owner and he was very kind and helpful. I live in the neighborhood and will definitely go back at some point soon. read more

Wonderful food. Great balance of protein, grains, and greens with a homemade feel. They didn't take my name but hand delivered my order after I sat down. Waited for about 10 minutes and found the wait worthwhile. They accommodated wheelchair users!! Tables were easy to move to seat a group of 8 and the booth is long enough to fit a couple 4 top tables and a 2 top. The menu is just right. Not overly populated with options. We chose the chicken shawarma bowl and the gyro bowl. Order was taken and then we sat down. Shortly after arriving tables began to fill up. Approximately 15 minutes after ordering our food was ready at which time we collected our food and paid our tab. All the ingredients were fresh and made upon ordering. Probably the best dolmas I've had. Ample portions which I was thrilled to have some leftover for later. Now wishing we'd have gotten 2 orders of the dolmas. The baklava was good too. We aren't downtown often but would definitely come back to Kallisto's in the future and readily recommend to others. read more

I loved everything about this place. My wife and I visited a few days ago having already eaten but she loves Med food (I hadn't really ever had it) so I wanted to show her this new spot. The owner was so generous and hospitable, giving us samples and everything. Resturant is very clean. So we promised to come back. Today we made good on that promise. "Way better than the places I liked in Fort Collins," is what my wife, who is from there, said. As my first exposure the owner himself was very good at walking me through everything and the new menu. And I can now say: I, too, am a Med food fan. This will replace Qdoba as my "I'm too lazy to cook right now" solution. And he gave us more free samples to try during our full visit which was also awesome. Towards the end of our meal he checked in to ask if we had comments and if there were any negatives or concerns so he could change the recipe, service, et cetera. We didn't have anything negative to say, but the fact is, if you visit and don't like something, since the business is new you could help change the direction of how it develops which is cool. The service here is amazing, it's very obviously a good small business non-chain, and the food was great. They've only been open 3 weeks so check them out, give them a try, and they're open to negative feedback to make adjustments! But if you're like me, you won't have negative feedback.
