I have never been to such a clean and friendly used auto part store. When I was growing up these places were called junk yards and you would crawl around the cars and get your own parts. These places were dirty, poorly lit and of course the ever present snarling junk yard dog. Fast forward to today and there are computer stations with polite workers. Called for a 2008 Convertible top that I had already called another salvage shop about and that gentleman who owned his store said the only one in town that has it is Manuel's and I'm sorry in advance. He said he had to say sorry because they lack any customer service and are out right rude. I asked him if he had the part what he would charge. He said $250, but do not expect that at all. Bought an engine from them ! Was told it had 78,000 miles on it after I got it in I decided to check the vin number because we were having issues installing it . Came to find out the engine had 140,000 miles and was from a completely different car so after changing the wire harnesses my car still isn't running and I'm out $2,000 !! Although jasmine was very nice this was one of the most horrible experience ever. They were quick to take our $2400, extremely slow to deliver the parts in which they said next day only to come 3 days later and the wrong part. The manager(Enricky)must be some kin to the owner because I don't understand how he can manage a place, because when talking to him over the phone he has poor customer service and communication skills and it proved even more to be true when we met him in person to get our refund. He was extremely rude. He told us that they didn't have the cash to give us a refund and we could wait a little bit. We asked what was a little bit and he said 1 or 2 hours. After we told him that he knew we were coming, traveling over 200 miles, he should have had the cash. We said we would take a check and he said the person to write the check wasn't there....I could go on and on about what happened but let me just say they will never see another dime of ours!!! I asked about a part and he was giving me attitudes for no reason. Making it seem like i was being dumb on the phone. Also they are a RIPOFF for used parts. I got this place information from Auto Zone and Auto Zone was selling the NEW part for $54 and they told me this place sells the used part for $40 and will install. BULLSHIT. The guy on the phone said the used part was $75. When I told him that AutoZone told me this, he hung up the phone. Where to begin.. Just... Don't go here. If you need a used car part-you can find them from many other locations in Houston. This place is a model of inefficiency. They want you to come and sit in their lobby for HOURS while they try and find someone to remove the parts you need from a vehicle. I called and asked them to pull the parts in advance, even offered to PAY them in advance so that I could just walk in, grab my parts, pay and then leave.. NOPE.. They refuse to do business LOGICALLY. I've never wasted more time in my life than I have dealing with this company. The energy level in this place is full on depressing.. I understand why the employees look like they are contemplating suicide at any given moment. My words will fail to express truly what a dismal atmosphere this place really is... Like visiting a grave yard with zombies moving around in it. Covid restrictions in place! Yes, they have a nice HUGE plastic wall that stops just short of the ceiling built to separate you from them.. Further, they are wearing masks.. They are set back at least 3 feet on the other side of the aforementioned plastic wall. Any chance at hearing, or understanding them, is minimal. Then, they get upset if you ask them to repeat themselves.. Wait.. It gets better.. While they are so concerned about Covid that they have erected a barrier wall, and are wearing their masks, they have NO PROBLEM forcing customers to sit side by side (6" apart) on their SINGLE row of chairs in the lobby. Yes, they really care about their customers.. Did I already mention that you will be sitting inches away from other people that could potentially have Covid for HOURS? If you care about your sanity, or your health, just find another place to get what you need. If you find like I have that they are the ONLY place in Houston that has the specific part I needed-just ask them to SHIP it! No, they won't tell you on the phone that they offer shipping as they prefer to have people with a pulse sitting in the lobby.. But, if you ask, they can ship whatever you like for an exorbitant fee (rape alert!) thereby saving you the HOURS of sitting in their lobby and preventing you from being exposed to potential Covid infected persons. If you wonder why this place looks nice from the outside is because they rip people off. The reason I say this is because I was trying to buy an old rusty two piece metal stick to put my spare down from my 98 truck and another piece, for $30, which is used for the Jack (has nothing to do with the stick to put the spare down). I thought that was too expensive so I asked the guy I only wanted to take the stick which is why you go to a use auto-parts to buy any part off a vehicle. The guy say no because they sold it together even though they made me go back there and climb through all the trucks to find a piece (got all wet by the way). So this is nothing but bull crap because I asked in the beginning if they had the long stick only, he said to go and check, so when I checked the first truck I only found half of the stick. So what if that was the only piece I wanted to buy, I'm pretty sure he would've sold it. But no he decided to sell everything together. So I'm pretty sure if you want to buy a piece off a car they might throw other stuff to make more money or they might even sell you the whole damn car.... Lol!...Smart ass customer service!!!! If there was a way to put negative stars I would. I called this business to obtain a compressor. Over the phone I was told it would be $125 with one months warranty. I get to the business and speak to another gentlemen who then proceeds to tell me if I was told it would be $200. I told him no, they said $125. He then says they're going to get me one for an Altima which would be the same as a maxima one. So I refrained from going to another business to get the compressor. I come to pick up the part and am then told I was quoted for 200. He tells me he doesn't want to sell it to me because then if it doesn't work he can't return it I WAS TOLD I HAD A MONTH WARRANTY AND COULD GET MY MONEY BACK IF NEEDED AND THAT IT WAS $125. I called Diego yesterday about a rear seat and was told it was available for 200.00 so i arrived the following day and was informed Diego was not working that day and the price he quoted me would not be honored, but they would sell me the seat for 500.00. I drove more than one hour to be lied to have the manager Tony attempt to rip me off.
