Best mechanics around, these are the only guys I would ever let fix my bike, they have been doing it forever.

I got a tire mounted, fair price and great service. The place has an old-school character.

Owner and mechanic of Bike Boys, Alex Borghi worked on my Harley Davidson. Quoted me $700 for work,…read moreincluded a hose replacement for an oil leak, oil and fluid change, he replaced my front and rear brakes. The service was good for two weeks, and we had a written and verbal agreement to pay in installments and that was agreed upon by both parties. Service has been paid $300/$700, until I had a small accident after using my rear brakes to shift down and stop at a red light. The rear wheel locked while in motion. After close examination the brake pad he replaced is nonexistent, and the piston went through the rotor. After a simple brake service in addition to other services done, I will now have to replace the brake caliper, the piston, rotor, and new brake pad, I will now be spending double to repair the bike after his damages. Mechanic Alex has since blocked my number and ghosted me after agreeing to fix the issue he caused. I will be pursuing this issue to the highest extent of the law. Thankfully I am not dead. He has zero organization and poor communication. The issue has since been professionally diagnosed and not based on assumption! Harley compatible parts were not used for the brake servicing! Also not disclosed was the ongoing issue Alex had while doing my rear brakes, to the point that diagrams had to be looked up to determine whether or not he was correct! Not only was the tone and choice of words on the phone call I had to make from a separate number despicable but extremely rude to a customer and friend he had a personal friendship with. The issue after being professionally diagnosed was deemed not a user error but a mechanical error. Mr. Borghi since has still not returned any call or message and since deemed he is not responsible for the work done when clearly he was the only person to touch my brakes. There should be no surprise after reading this review as this will remain on his conscious forever!

The Cycle Exchange - 2010 Kawasaki Nomad 1700

    The Cycle Exchange

Shopping for a used ZX-6R, I came across The Cycle Exchange in Andover, NJ…read more I initially spoke with Dash over the phone regarding their 2021 Kawasaki ZX-6R with 15,702 miles listed for around $10,000. During our first call, I was quoted a little over $12,000 out the door. Later that same day, I called back and was quoted $11,800 out the door. Throughout both conversations, I kept hearing that they are a "No Haggle" dealership. Despite that, I decided to come in and inspect the bike in person. Upon inspection, I noticed numerous areas of corrosion and neglect, including corrosion around the rear wheel area, shock, and engine case. The rear brake pad also appeared low. Overall, the bike looked like it may have been sitting outside for some time without proper care. Another disappointing part of the experience was that test rides are not allowed, and you even have to ask permission just to sit on the bike. I also asked whether the 15,200-mile valve clearance inspection/service had been performed, as this is a major scheduled maintenance item for this model. I was told they had zero maintenance records for the bike. Then came the most confusing part: I was given a third new quote of $11,300 out the door. So much for "No Haggle." At that point, after seeing the bike's condition in person, I had already lost interest. Still, I decided to see if there was any flexibility at all and offered $10,500 out the door based on the condition and upcoming maintenance needs. The answer was simply "No." The entire experience felt very impersonal. Every response was either "No" or "No Haggle," which they seem oddly proud of they even have signs posted inside. I understand a dealership has to make money, but they're unwilling to negotiate even a few hundred dollars on a used bike in rough condition. I've never seen greed like this. If you're an experienced rider or motorcycle buyer, I would recommend looking very carefully before purchasing here. If you're a first-time buyer, bring someone experienced with you so you understand what you're looking at and what maintenance costs may be coming. Buyer beware.

Upon arrival, the machine didn't even start (as witnessed by the overdue delivery crew truck guys from Fort Wayne, IN, not just my opinion) and I had to trailer it to a local repair shop and spend $700 to repair electrical issues and get it running. Cycle Exchange was either negligent or ignorant, but they should have at least had my bike in running order before it was shipped. I really didn't complain to salesman Chris, and I didn't expect them to fix or correct anything (or heaven forbid, take it back), but I'll never buy a machine from anyone online and especially from an East Coast used-bike dealership again.

My bike feels night and day different (i.e., perfect balance between quick turn in and stability). I've had experience working with other talented and customer focused suspension guys in other locations such as Dave Moss and I would put Ron right up there with them. From the very first call, I could tell he cared more about me as a rider than someone who would just be spending money at his shop. This was reinforced when I came in for my first adjustment and he and his team (Scott) took their time in getting me set up, explaining what they were doing and why, and having me go test ride it before calling it in a day. Ron even went above and beyond, in my opinion, when he researched some hard to find Ohlins specs for my bike because of additional changes I wanted to make. Coming from NYC, the trip is easily ~90 minutes one-way and I can say it's without a doubt worth it. Given his clientele that I've witness during my visits (e.g., street riders, track riders, traditional suspension, electronic suspension, new bikes, old bikes, etc.), I know I'm not the only one who thinks so. Thanks Ron, Scott, and team for being a suspension place I can rely on!

They came and picked up the bike to repair it which was appreciated. The bike was returned with a new battery but the quick shifter still did not work properly. It took many calls and follow ups and eventually when I received a response from someone they committed to pick the bike up again. They said they would get back to me with a schedule. More weeks of follow up and each time I talked to someone they said they were new and the previous person I talked to was no longer there. After about more 8 weeks, with numerous calls to them, the GM called and said his representative made a mistake and that he would not be honoring the commitment to pick the bike up. He stated that the coordination of the repair was my issue. I bought the bike for a track bike and lost the 3 months of the season because of this dealership. The sales team was completely disorganized during the sale, the repair department was slow, incompetent, and unresponsive, the general manager was rude, unprofessional, did not stand behind his team, and did not care about the customer. Overall, I feel this is a horrible dealership to do any business with. They only positive experience was the driver who picked up the bike was a super nice guy!
