This is by far the best groomers in West LA! I am very particular with how my Shih Tzu's hair is cut and I've taken her to several highly rated groomers in the West LA area and not one compares to Many Paws. It's true what the bad reviews say, the owners aren't super friendly. Who cares?! The owners and their staff take their business seriously. They are kind and gentle with our pets and they take extra care with scared, nervous and elderly dogs. If your dog is matted and looks like it needs a bit more attention at home than you're giving it, they will not hesitate to tell you about it. They are much more concerned for your pet's well-being than they are about hurting your feelings! If you haven't tried Many Paws, and you don't have anything to hide in how you care for your pets, then you must give Many Paws a try. Your dog(s) will love you for it!! P.S. I usually "groom" my dog myself (a bath every few weeks), but when she snapped at my trying to untangle fur down below, I thought -- this job needs a professional . . . with a dog noose. I can usually get an appointment the same day that I call, and Truffle is always done in 2 hours or less. They do it all and they do it well! read more

Coco is my family and Many Paws has been our go-to groomer+ since she was a puppy, more than 11 years ago. Many Paws isn't just a place to get grooming done: they offer great teeth cleaning (which my vet is very impressed by), they take extra care when I bring a medicated shampoo, and they've referred me to other vet specialists when her allergies act up. Although they do an excellent job, we didn't appreciate being scolded and lectured constantly for not brushing our dogs coats deeply enough between monthly visits, even though we did brush them. We were also told not to bring our 9 year old Pom back on Saturdays because he was too old and barked when he heard other dogs bark and got distracted. No problem, we'll go somewhere else. read more

I love taking my parents Miniature Poodle to Many Paws and He actually seems to love going there too. I have been going there for over a year now and frosty has never had a bad haircut. I love the place everyone there really seems to love dogs. I love that there is a place like this small business near me. My Dad used to take Frosty to one groomer that used to love to shave him bald no matter what. Many Paws has never done that to him. Many paws. Say it out loud. The outside of this grooming places looks dead, but in the inside is actually bright and have a lot of cute stuff. Yay, for taking my dog in with no appointment. But this was the worst looking haircut my dog's had. Yes, I've had my dog's hair cut short before, but there are ways to do it to make her look pretty. I don't think they know how to take care of shih tzu's hair. My bf came home laughing at our dog, and asking me if I had brought the right dog home. I spend about $60, which is high for me. I got scolded at, for not combing my dogs hair. Now, no one likes that feeling. I wanted to tell her, my dog had allergies and was uncontrollably licking and starching herself. And I brought my dog to other groomers more matted, and they've been able to fix it. What was more sad, was that I didn't get a call that my dog was done early, so my poor dog was alone. She told me that she had walked my dog and gave her water. But when my dog came home, she needed water and a walk. You know how your dog is when they are thirsty. They drink for about 30 seconds. I think they can do a great job with other breeds, but shih tzu's are not their specialty. read more

I really like bringing my dog here for grooming/bath. Although the outside looks a little old, the service your dog gets is great. They are super friendly, know what they are doing. Price is reasonable and they are honest. They don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. I see owners of all different social background coming in with their dogs and they know how to groom all different types of dogs. I am very busy and don't know when I am free so I always call the same day/last minute, and they graciously take my dog despite being last minute. In the West LA area, I do think this place is a little gem. Highly, highly recommended! read more

Because the women running the place are not the warmest in the world, I believe they like dogs better than people. They are experts in grooming Wheaton Terriers and the place is usually full of them. My dog has not gotten a hot spot since I started taking her there. That means she gets a thourough rinsing and their products are right for my dog. They have a very loyal following so you do need to call in advance. Get past the cold reception and in time you will see they really handle the dogs well. read more

We have been taking all of our Bichons with difficult hair to Many Paws for more than a decade. We think they are wonderful . Bichon hair can gert wiry and matted and they have always been loving and patient with our doggies ( and we have several that have aged and been replaced. If they notice anything odd on your pet like a lump, sore, etc, they always let you know. That has been very important to us is several circumstances where they detected problems requiring vet care. When one of our dogs got sick the cried with us. When we recently added a Bichon with very difficult hair, Chrystal did tell me and showed me how to groom her a little differently and better. They are very honest and forthright, kind and gentle and do fabulous grooming. People always compliment us on how beautiful our doggies look, and believe me Bichons have wiry difficult hair. This is a wonderful place to have your doggies groomed---ignore the critics and try it yourself. Your pet will gets lots of love and look beautiful! read more

My dog (Puff) loves Many Paws. When we drive up, he is so excited to go for his grooming! The staff is wonderful. They will always call to let you know if they have to cut your dog a little more than normal if he is tangled or matted. They have everything to help control flees and to keep your pooch healthy and beautiful. I have referred a couple of friends and they are pleased and will trust their pet with no one else. Call for an appointment, they are very busy because they are good! If your dog is like mine and will not drink from bowls other than his own, he probably will be a little thirsty afterwards. read more

We first came to Many Paws with our rescue dog who was a total mess. Not only was he yellow and gray from malnutiriton he has been badly mistreated and would not allow anyone to brush him. He was a 11 lb. ball of matted fur and terror. If you did attempt to brush him he would attempt to bite you back. Needless to say 5 years later, Nick is now a beautiful white and gray mixed up dog and he graciously goes to Many Paws twice a month where they keep him looking great. The animals clearly trust the people who work there. Nick has learned to trust everyone there and even takes a treat prior to going home. I have since adopted another furry friend who is a lhasa and he also adores going to his grooming appointments. I think just like any other service that you use, it is important to communicate with them how you want your dog to look. My husband likes our dogs looking shaggy and we have managed to keep the dogs, clean neat and shaggy looking all at the same time. I give them lots of kudos for treating my dogs with loving kindness. read more

I came in with my Yorkie Lil She She Poo, we came from the beach and she was loaded with fleas. The groomers were so helpful and took her in right away. After they recommended Frontline. I was very happy with their friendly service and I will be back next month. read more

I have taken my dogs to Many Paws over the years and find their staff and service to be over the top. They really like animals and it shows. I was hoping to support a neighborhood establishment but DON'T take your dog here! You drop your dog off in the morning and they are always very vague about when they will be ready. After close to 7 hours I went in to pick up my dog and she had not even been cut yet. No dogs should have to be in a cage for that long due to bad management. They overbook appointments, treat you rudely and are full of excuses. read more
