I first heard of this place through Instagram and since pink is my favorite color, I knew I wanted wanted to go here. It's located in a strip mall with tons of parking available. The don't accept reservations, but you can put your name on the waitlist queue and they will text you a few minutes before to let you know that their table is available. I'd avoid going here on Valentine's Day as it was impossible to get off that waitlist! I've gone in the evening but their brunch menu is definitely better. Service is great and you can scan the QR code for their menu. For brunch, they have a lot of options from crêpes to omelettes. This place is not a BYOB but they have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails on the menu. Decor is modern, airy, and of course - pink! They also have a separate café and pastry counter if you're just stopping in and want something quicker instead of sitting down. On our most recent visit, I had the Dubai chocolate pistachio crêpe, and it was really delicious, not too sweet or too rich. And I also had the strawberry Matcha, which I enjoyed. I think this is a great spot for a weekend date, girls brunch, or just an every day indulgence. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

I've heard many good things about this place, so I finally stopped in! I ordered the pink matcha, which is their strawberry matcha. It was over $10 which is pretty steep for a strawberry matcha. I also didn't love that they left the muddled strawberries in the drink because it kept clogging up the straw and made it hard to drink. Really cute pink cafe and ambiance. Service was friendly, but not as attentive as I would've liked, despite the cafe not really being busy. I opted for the pink pistachio chai, which despite its visual appearance it was sort of mild in flavor. I didn't taste the chai spices that I love. The French toast was very lightly dipped so it wasn't "custardy", so again I was missing the French toast flavor. And 2 pieces for $16 means $8 a slice, which was so not worth it. Came back here for the second time today. Was better than the first. Food and drinks came out very quickly and the server was more attentive this time around---at least until the food arrived. After that, we didn't see him again, and wound up having to pay with another employee, but thankfully, she was equip to complete the sale. Pink Pistachio has been all over my TikTok, so I was very excited to realize it was only a few miles from me. Obviously had to check it out. It ended up being the perfect weekday spot to sit and yap for a while. We originally planned to just grab coffee and a sweet treat, but once we got there, we ended up staying for lunch too. The decor is so cute and the overall atmosphere is really nice. It feels like one of those places you can hang out in without feeling rushed. The service was also great and everyone was super friendly and attentive. Only thing to note is the service charge. Not an issue that it exists, but it wasn't super clear before paying. I did notice after the fact that it's explained on the back of the plaque with the menu QR code. We ended up double tipping, which was fine because the service was great, but it's just something to be aware of for next time. Stopped by here on a Saturday morning, and was pleasantly surprised by the fact there was no wait for a group of 5! Having seen this restaurant on instagram, I was excited to see if the food was on par with the aesthetic. Unfortunately, it was not. The server was friendly, however, maybe due to the weekend rush, kept leaving before we were done asking questions about the menu or ordering beverages. Once we placed our food orders, it was another 45 minute wait before the first dish was served, which wouldn't have been a problem other than the 2 hr seating limit during peak hours. The chicken caprese while on the smaller side and served with just a handful of fries, was flavorful and went very well with their spicy mayo. Their flat white was delectable and would definitely recommend! The seating is quite limited inside, but all tables and silverware are very beautiful and fitting to the Pink Pistachio name. Be aware that on top of quite steep prices for meager portions, they have an additional service charge. Would recommend if you are stopping by for a quick coffee and chat with a friend during off peak hours, or even picking up soem dessert and coffee takeout, but would not recommend for a weekend brunch. read more

That's usually reserved for large parties. This seemed like a sketchy way to slip in an extra tip. This cafe is super cute and I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for my friend's recommendations. The inside is exactly as its name: pink and pretty. The seating in itself is unique, with velvet plush chairs and rounded tables, further giving its cafe name. I love the pistachio crust and the nutty flavor of this latte - Chicken Tenders, (3/5): nothing to write home about, a bit on the greasier side, and fries were a bit soggy. Honestly, everything we ordered was so good!! The hearty veggie sandwich was super flavorful and filling without feeling too heavy. I really appreciated the variety of veggie options on the menu as a vegetarian. The croissant itself was buttery and flaky, and it came with eggs, melted cheese, avocado, and arugula which was such a great combo. It felt fresh but still comforting and filling. And the banana walnut pancakes were delicious too. Fluffy, warm, and packed with banana flavor with little crunchy bites from the walnuts. The restaurant itself is adorable. It has the cutest pink vibes and so many beautiful photo ops. Definitely perfect for a girls' brunch or even a birthday outing which is why I was visiting. Came here with family for a late evening treat and unwind time. Great ambience and decor to match the "pink" pistachio theme. Enjoyed the tea and croissant, the place was nice and relatively quiet so we were able to have conversation and relax. The reason for 3 stars is because they were out of most of the pastries / cakes which we were looking forward to! Perhaps because we arrived an hour before closing so they had run out of most items? Cute, clean and instagramable cafe that I've been seeing on social media for awhile and glad we finally were able to check it out. I heard it gets busy on weekends especially during brunch hours. We stopped by around 4pm on a Sunday and although all tables were filled when we arrived, we only had to wait a couple of minutes before we were seated. They have an expansive menu that includes breakfast, brunch and dinner. Since it's more like tea time when we went, I ordered their knafeh crepe for myself and chicken tender and fries for the kids. I was surprised they have kids menu and their chicken tender was crispy, moist and juicy. Portion size was also generous. The knafeh crepe was the highlight. The crepe had a crisp edge and tender and soft center. The pistachio cream and chocolate were not too sweet and the crunch from the kataifi provided the perfect balance of texture. The kids said it was fire. There isn't anything like this nearby and I would come back just for this. I also ordered their strawberry matcha and I like how oat milk is available as a substitute. It was refreshing, made with real chunks of strawberries and no artificial flavors. I also ordered their rose pistachio tres leches cake. The cake itself was moist and airy, and the cream was not overly sweet. However, I could not really taste any rose or pistachio so it would be nice if there's a stronger flavor of those ingredients. Overall, this is a perfect place for brunch or tea with your girlfriends or even family. I love how they have kids menu available to make this more family friendly. When we arrived, the hostess had trouble finding us a table which was odd considering most tables were available. We walked towards one table but for whatever reason she decided against, looked puzzled, then we showed her one that was open. The awkwardness didn't end there. I noticed a nearby liquor store so I asked the server if the establishment is BYOB, and he replied, "I don't know what that is." Granted, he may not be of drinking age, but staff should know. As we were wrapping up our meals, my friend asked for a to-go container for her leftover sauce, and the same server had no idea what she meant even after she explained it a 3 times. It seems the staff here may need better training. Also, for as good as it looked, all our food was under seasoned. Perhaps the breakfast items are better. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I had looked at the waitlist online the night before and only saw that parties of 11 or less can be reserved. Any parties over 11 need to be called in. So what did I do? I called the restaurant and asked if they can accommodate a party of 14. They instructed me to get on the waitlist, using the limit of a table of 11 and that they would accommodate the extra 3 people. Then, as we're driving to the café, the waitlist malfunctions and kicks me out. When I try to get back on it, it says that 52 parties were in front of me. I called the restaurant to confirm that I indeed was on the waitlist and that I would still like to be seated for my party of 14. I spoke to a female employee who told me everything was fine and that they would accommodate us upon arrival. Please tell me why that when we arrived at the restaurant, they all acted so stupid. They tell my friend that they cannot accommodate more than 11 people, because their "manager" recently stopped accommodating over 14 people. Nonetheless, after some back-and-forth, we insisted that we would like to be seated as two 7 person tables. Then, tell me why that they seated us, not together and close by, but on opposite ends of the restaurant. I had strictly told them that this was a bachelor brunch, and they still seated us this way. They didn't hear me or they just didn't give a f*ck. After a lot of back-and-forth, we had them arrange the tables so that my second table can be seated near us. Now, the food was great. We all ordered brunch specials, and everything was delicious. The pistachio coffees were so good. However, my friend received a broken glass, and a piece of glass scrapped his mouth. We tell our waiter, who was so sweet (and definitely not her fault), but this had happened and she apologized and went back to tell her team. You would think they would comp us for almost killing us with broken glassware, but they did not. Lastly, to top it off, they charge an additional tip on top of an 18% service charge. That just blew my mind because in what delusional world is that even a thing? A service charge is a tip. This place really pissed all 14 of us off and I will definitely not be recommending this to my friends or family. It's very unfortunate because I was very excited to brunch at a Desi owned spot but this was a terrible failure. A unique place indeed. Very nice café that has a little of everything. The place inside found on a mini strip mall, is well lit. My wife ordered the cappuccino I had the Cortina. I ordered the Chipotle chicken which has pretty good. My wife preferred the croissant sandwich with banana walnut pancakes. The food on whole is pretty good. Wife ordered a mango mojito which was good. They have a nice variety of beverages that the create. The service was ok young kids. It is a hike for me to get too but it was part of a trip. I've heard so many good things about this new restaurant and couldn't wait to eat here! We were a party of 3 and knew they didn't take reservations so we called ahead and they said it was a 4 hour wait!!! We were planning to get dinner at 6 so we joined the waitlist at 2pm. When we got there at 6 we still had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated- it was completely packed inside and very busy and loud. We actually were seated at a table for 2 and they pulled over a chair to fit all 3 of us. For drinks we got 3 iced drinks: the strawberry matcha, the pink matcha, and the pistachio latte. The strawberry matcha didn't taste like strawberry at all and both the pink matcha and pistachio latte could have been a little sweeter. For food I got the chipotle chicken sandwich. It did take a while for our food to come out but when it did it was freshly made. My sandwich was just okay for me. We also had the baked ziti and the crepe which was very good especially with the berries. Overall given the extremely long wait, and just okay food and drinks, I think the main highlight of this restaurant is the aesthetic and decor. Definitely a great place to take pictures especially once it's nice outside. But food and drinks wise I was a little disappointed at the quality. This is a new place, I feel it has potential to be great as long as they learn from their shortcomings and work at making them better. It's easy for a place like this to rest on the fact that they have pretty decor and an exciting theme, "instagrammable" if you will, but, Instagram photos don't keep customers coming back for more. Pros: -Diverse cuisine - halal -They take your phone number and text you when your table is ready, so you don't have to wait in a crowded area and can go to the comfort of your own car or outside on a nice day. -You can go straight to the "bar" area and get a beverage, Dubai chocolate, dessert or pastry to-go, or while you wait for your table. -Solid drinks, I especially loved the pink chai, which tastes more like authentic chai and not the terrible sugar laden American "chai" you get at Starbucks. -Cute decor/theme -Some staff and a manager were very friendly -French toast was really good -Dubai bars were good, however, not the best I've had Cons: -No cleaning off the table between courses, dirty dishes piled up on the table -Wait staff not very attentive, we were not offered flat water, were not asked if we wanted anything else, and given the check while we were still eating! -The (savory) food was mediocre, everything was "fine" but after waiting over an hour and seeing so many great reviews, we expected to be wowed. -dubai chocolate had less pistachio cream in it than others I've had, this was extremely disappointing considering it was $5 more than I've paid at other places. I will say the chocolate tasted really good and of great quality though! -They should consider taking names at the coffee bar area because it got confusing trying to figure out if your drink was ready or if it was someone else's. Their fries are really tasty. My friend loved it so much she got another order of it. They do not sell alcoholic drinks but they do have cute virgin cocktails. I came here on a Wednesday after work around 5:15 to meet a friend. We both weren't quite hungry yet so we each ordered just a drink and fries to start with. Unfortunately my drink (Watermelon Lemonade) was not good but that could just be my opinion. I just prefer my drinks more fresh and not overly syrupy or sweet. The fries were very disappointing, not crispy and not tasty. We both wish we shared it instead of getting 2 orders of them. After the disappointment of the drinks and fries we decided to skip on the food. Service was ok. I could tell right away that they expected us to order more or leave but my friend and I were just busy catching up so we stayed a little longer. Right before I left I saw that in the glass display that they had Dubai chocolate bars made with white chocolate that was dyed pink. I thought it was cute so I asked for one to go. They did not have a price listed and honestly I wasn't really thinking about it when they added it to my tab. I paid and tipped 20% on my order. I cashed out on the mobile machine that the server had but luckily I also asked for a paper receipt. The server was not able to print it from their machine so I ended up having to wait so long for it while they figured it out at the hostess stand. I almost just said never mind but glad I waited. Once I got home I realized that I tipped $5 on a $25 candy bar. It was definitely not worth $25 let alone $30. I have been wanting to come here since I saw it on TikTok but have been hesitant because the reviews said the food was not good. Pink Pistachio is the newest brunch spot in town. I love it because it's right in my hometown and I no longer have to get onto a highway or drive more than 10 minutes to go to a trendy breakfast/brunch spot anymore. We visited on an evening weekday, it was at about a 25% capacity, I was grateful that we did not have to wait at all and we were seated immediately. The decor is beautiful, with soft light pink seats that are quite delicate and stylish. However, I did feel a little uncomfortable eating on them it's definitely one of those places where you want to be careful not to spill anything! I ordered a mango virgin mojito. It was perfectly sweet, though I did have an issue with the drink not being mixed well. The mango purée/syrup was mostly at the at the bottom, so I had to keep stirring to evenly distribute the mango flavor and sweetness. Just a heads up for those who avoid sweeteners, the pistachio latte did taste like it had some form of sweetener, even though we double checked with the staff beforehand. That being said, it was still delicious. For my entrée, I went with the chipotle chicken sandwich, which our waitress Danya kindly recommended. I'm so glad I took her advice! She was kind, patient, and very helpful. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The ciabatta bread was soft (not as hard as it generally is), and the mozzarella had a nice cheese pull and was melted perfectly, and the chicken was moist and well seasoned. The sandwich came out steaming hot! The fries were also delicious and crispy. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the sandwich, especially since I normally like adding lettuce, tomatoes, and the works to my sandwiches. This one didn't need any tweaking, it was perfect as is. The only downside is that the sandwich can get a little messy because the chicken is in smaller pieces, which sometimes falls out when picking it up. Overall, the atmosphere is calm and serene, and I'm looking forward to coming back for breakfast or brunch to try other menu items! Pink Pistachio Café in Somerset offers a great ambiance. My friends and I went on a Sunday for brunch, and the place was packed. The wait time for three people was 1 hour and 45 minutes, but we grabbed drinks and waited in the car. They don't take reservations, but we wanted to see if the hype was worth it. My friend ordered me the Pink Matcha, and it tasted really good. The person making the drink mentioned that it was decaffeinated, which was interesting since I had never tried decaf matcha before. Once we got our table, our waitress took our drink orders. I got the Mint Mojito, while my friends ordered the Strawberry Mojito and Mango Mojito. All of them were refreshing and well-balanced. For my meal, I ordered the French toast and the vegan sandwich with a sunny side up egg. I had requested ciabatta bread on the side because I just wanted to eat the veggies and mix my egg, but I guess they were so busy that they forgot. Mistakes happen, so I let it slide. However, after our food arrived, our waitress never came back to check on us. No one offered us water or asked if we wanted additional drinks. What really put me off was that while we were still eating, one of the managers handed us the check. It felt rude, especially since we had waited 1 hour and 45 minutes just to be seated. Other tables around us were done eating and chatting, but they weren't handed their checks yet. Later, our waitress returned and asked if anyone had checked on us while she was on her break. I love the ambiance, and the beverages were great. The Mint Mojito was refreshing and not too sweet, the Pink Chai Tea had a nice balance of flavor, and the tres leches was creamy and spongy without being overly sweet. However, the French toast was too soft. It needed some crunch, maybe mixed with the Dubai chocolate bar for texture. The vegan sandwich on ciabatta was just okay. Overall, the drinks and desserts were the highlights, but the food and service could be better. This cafe is so aesthetic and cute to sit and dine in as well as to just get some work done. The decor is pink and matches the theme. I've had the rose pistachio and the chocolate tres leches and have really enjoyed them both but I'll personally say I'm partial to chocolate and will probably get that again next time! If it's pink, it's for me! Just kidding, but it definitely helps! This new halal cafe is both gorgeous and offers some great options. They do not take reservations, so there can be a wait (we had to wait 1 hour on a Sunday afternoon for 2 people) but that was expected for this trending new spot. Service could be slow but as a newer business, seems like they are trying to figure everything out but are doing so gracefully. Lots of cute areas to take pictures and there is a decent amount of seating. Perfect for a stop on a girls day! The food was all stellar and the flavors surprised me. The drinks were also delicious - the virgin mojitos are made with fresh fruit juice and you can tell! Definitely recommend the mango mojito. I also had to try their specialty pink matcha and it was so good!! The baked ziti is delicious, as is the roasted potato side. I wouldn't expect something so tasty from a "café" but everything was awesome. The quality of the food really stuck out to me. Definitely a cute spot to go to and a plus for the delicious halal menu! Love supporting local POC businesses, I hope this one thrives! They also have bakery items for sale and the viral Dubai chocolate bars. They make specialty ones as well, like the white chocolate biscoff one. They are pricey at $25, but they are also quite thick, so do with that what you will! A positive first experience. We arrived on a Thursday night at 6:00. No wait and we were seated immediately. Server was friendly and helpful with the menu. My caprese chicken sandwich was delicious, my wife really liked her kale salad, and my 6yo ate his entire waffle meal. The Spanish latte was one of the best that I have had and my wife loved her virgin strawberry mojito. While the decoration and ambiance is not really my vibe, my wife commented several times on how cute and fun the place is. Looking forward to going back and trying some pastries. read more

Pink pistachio is super esthetic, bright, and has a cool vibe. There was a long wait for brunch, however, we were able to put our name on the waitlist before arriving so we're seated without too long of a wait. The chipotle chicken and shakshuka were very good, would definitely order them again. The breakfast pizza and the coffee, not so much. Hosting was very confusing. When we walked in and said table for two, the hostess replied, "Okay." Then, another staff member (5mins later) asked us if we were on the waiting list. We had no idea because the first person didn't inform us. After that, we joined the waiting list, and then (another 5mins later) they asked for our names to add us to it. I was really confused. Thankfully, the wait wasn't too long--around 15-20 minutes. Once we were seated, the service was reasonably fast. The place was clean, and the bathroom was nice, clean, and neat. The food was amazing--I highly recommend the pistachio French toast! It is quite pricey, but it's worth it for a special treat because the food makes up for the earlier confusion. I will definitely come back for the food, but I hope they can improve their hosting next time. read more

Such a beautiful and cozy floral café in Somerset County! The aesthetic is stunning and the service is warm and friendly. We loved everything we tried -- the Mango Mojito was refreshing, the Croissant and Caprese Chicken sandwiches were delicious, and the Pistachio Latte was a must-try. For all you brunch lovers out there, this is the hottest new spot here in Middlesex, NJ. I wanted to visit this new brunch spot twice before writing this review. Both times the food and drinks have been incredible. Whoever is at the helm of the kitchen knows what the heck they are whipping up. Here is what I have tried so far: - Wagyu Burger w/Fries - Caprese Chicken Sandwich - Roasted Chicken w/Rice Pilaf (juicy) - French Toast w/Nutella & Pistachios I have to say my favorite thing so far is their Caprese Chicken. Normally I wouldn't order something like this. I am not even a Chick-Fil-A fan. But judging from the pics on Yelp I went with my gut. So glad I did because this was a winner winner chicken dinner. The breast pieces were so juicy. And their fries...OMG!!! Our young waitress, Jazmine is such a doll. She had an upbeat personality throughout our entire meal. She warned us that the weekends are the craziest so be aware of that but it's definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to bring my foodie son here when he comes home for the summer from Tucson.
