Super cute little ice cream shop off Franklin. I normally go at pretty odd hours so it's always been really easy to get in and get out. The ice cream is really good, and the flavors are so unique! Great spot for the summer

I am rooting for this place!! All the way from MD I heard about it a couple months ago and I told my sister we'd have to try when I returned to the city. I kid you not... I went three days in a row for a treat LOL. This is a Black-owned vegan ice cream (and cookie) joint. All of the ice creams are coconut-based, and flavors include Madagascar vanilla bean, chocolate, key lime custard pie, cookies & creme, and so many more. They're very generous about their samples, and they offer silver tasting spoons... so much washing, sheesh! They also sell maple syrup in two sizes, and that's because literally everything is sweetened with maple. No direct sugar either?! Seriously, what a treat. And another thing I love about it is one scoop is only $4.99 -- for a vegan spot that's incredible. Now, mind you, it's not a giant Coldstone scoop, but it just feels better than paying the $7+ I'm used to seeing. They don't have toppings yet, but the ice cream is a treat on its own. Now as for the cookies... they had 4 different kinds when I went: Chocolate chip - I didn't get to try this one (and on my final visit it was sold out), but my sister was obsessed Vanilla sugar - my older niece was obsessed, and I tried it and really enjoyed too Maple pecan walnut - Not a pecan or walnut person, but the base cookie is so good it doesn't even matter. Wow. Double chocolate - by far my favorite. The chocolate with the slight sweetness of the maple was such a hit I could've had 14. I cannot wait to return to the city and see what new creative flavors they have. I'm invested.

I've been meaning. To come here with every since I moved from Brooklyn, getting to deeper into the borough takes a little more effort. My friend and I came here after lunch on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet, the nice counter gent explained all the different flavors, so we tried quite a few. Lrt it be know..... They all taste amazing. I ended up going with 2 scoops (they are small) 1 jamrock the other Hazel & Joe. Sensational combination Two days later, a friend craving ice cream went to a place and was disappointed, so back to Maple Creamery ftw!!!! This time a super nice gent at the register even chatted us up on the love and natural ingredients in each batch (i still didnt guess one of their key ones, lol). See you guys again soon!

Fantastic flavors in a small store in Prospect Heights. They don't advertise it but their "Ice Cream" is made with coconut milk/cream and sweetened with (of course) Maple, which is great for me. Try the Hazel and Joe, Yuzu, or Pistachio as they'll light up your taste buds. Maybe a cookie too?

They offer delicious flavors. You can really taste the quality of the ice cream. Also, the owner was really kind and was passionate about the business. You can sample flavors while you're there too!

Stopped in while in the area to try the ice cream. Was so happy to find a place with a variety of dairy free ice cream. They have a bunch of fun flavors.

I didn't even realized this was plant based and no dairy because the ice cream was creamy and rich. I had the French toast flavor while my mom did chocolate. The French toast treated like vanilla with cinnamon which was good for me since it tasted simple. The chocolate ice cream was definitely rich in flavor and really chocolate-y. I definitely have plans to come back and try other flavors

This little ice cream store is SO cute, caught my eye as i was strolling around the neighborhood! The ice cream itself is CREAMY, not too sweet, and flavors are fun & interesting!! Everything is sweetened with maple syrup, so YUM. The servers are super friendly and the menu is affordable!! I liked the portion sizes as they didn't make me feel ill after eating dessert LOL. The cookies (vanilla & chocolate) are delicious as well - soft, crumbly, not too sweet. They have a small seating area on the side for a couple friends. The store is spacious to hangout in as well.

Woah, did I just have a deliscigasm from some local handmade vegan ice cream that didn't cost me a car payment!! Heavy hitting new creamery right off Franklin Ave bringing some AMAZING flavor to the neighborhood in the height of the summer. Couldn't be any better. Tired of walking to Washington for a $8 scoop of 2 vegan options... ($4 /scoop here) Maple Creamery had a whole spread and the best part is you'd never know it wasn't made with milk or eggs unless you asked! The owner Collin (sp?) started experimenting with making his own desserts after getting these 'ice cream hangovers' from too much dairy, cane sugars and other products. Perfecting his craft and sharing it with friends encouraged him to get a full blown store. And I couldn't be more grateful The secret is coconut cream.. a natural thick and tasty byproduct of just one thing... coconuts. This is what I'm talking about, this is what vegan should be, plants first and bringing their beauty to new heights. Love the ethos and story behind this place. I tried a scoop of the strawberry and pistachio. Creamy, sweet (but not too sugary like syrup), so much flavor and texture. I've never had vegan ice cream like this or even dairy ice cream. And my grandfather has a creamery when I was a baby! The store is pretty small so not much sit down options but there are shade trees nearby and a huge sidewalk to hang on. Amazing work and persistence to the team, they definitely went through some trials to open this venue. It was empty for so long and now it's time to shine. Congrats! And I will definitely be back!!

I truly recommend this dessert/ice-cream spot. Great customer service and delicious clean ingredient ice cream. Perfect for people who are want to indulge themselves but know you are eating something with good Whole Food ingredients. I will be visiting often

Vanilla Cookie, and Yuzu Ice cream

As dreamy as it looks is as dreamy as it taste! What an Experience! I have had the pleasure to enjoy Maple a few times and the service, care, and joy this place brings me never fails. The ice cream gives comfort without guilt! The Yuzu is a citrus, tangy, creamy smooth, delectable literal statement of the word ice CREAM! Along with the Vanilla cookie which is thick, crispy sides, and bottom with a soft bite, and a perfect balance of vanilla bean. The combinations are perfection at its finest! Spectacular Imma need 14 of them RIGHT NOW! All that to say GO...TODAY. You won't be disappointed

The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.
